$100,000 Per Year Affiliate Marketing Roadmap

Beginner’s Roadmap To Make $100,000 Per Year With Affiliate Marketing

Hey guys, its Marcus here from affiliate marketing dude.  I’m at the video conference and it’s been great.  I met my buddy Jeff there. Jeff was hanging out and I don’t usually get recognized a lot, but when I do, I freak out because I’m introverted and anxious.

Check a picture of me and some guys here and his friend freaked out.

They are like,  “what the hell,  Marcus is here” and I was like “okay,  who did I pissed off? ” So he comes in and he’s like, “hey, don’t worry, my buddy is a good fan”.

His Buddy’s name is Justin”.  Justin wants to ask some questions about affiliate marketing and I think you are too.

Justin is a real estate agent and he wants to know the next steps to get to $100,000 with affiliate marketing in a year.  He is a real estate agent and he wants to make money with affiliate marketing, separately. So he’s like, “how do I get started?” He has been watching my video for a while and he even had my shirt too.

He wants to get out there and do this stuff.  So what I’m going to do is to show you what I’d do if I was brand new in affiliate market, if I didn’t have any money( or maybe about $100), and I want to start doing affiliate marketing.

We are going to take you step by step on what to do, what to invest in, what you need to do to get to $100,000 a year because it sounds like a big goal, but in actuality, it’s only $274 a day.  If you break that down into 24 hours a day, that’s $11.42 an hour.  So let’s get started right now.

When I first started my business, my first goal was to make 6 figures online.  I wanted to make $100,000 a year from the internet and from the comfort of my home. I knew there was a way to do it, but I felt really stuck because no one showed me the way and there was nothing like a road map.

So, what I’d like to do today it’s to give you the road map that took me to my first $67,000 a year, $100,000 a year and even my first million dollars a year.  We’re going to break it down and show you exactly what you need to do.

If you like this kind of stuff and you want to learn more about making money with affiliate marketing and other online methods,  I urge you to click the subscribe button, hit the little bell notification icon because we’ve got a lot of videos here to show you exactly what you need to do.

We even have a live stream every Wednesday at 10 am (Eastern Standard Time) right here on the channel, and you’re not going to know about it unless you subscribe and click the bell.

For now, let’s go ahead and learn exactly what you need to do to hit that 6 figure mark with affiliate marketing.

Disclaimer- Now, I’ve got to tell you: The results are not typical; I don’t know what you’re going to make. Nothing in life, business or in anything is guaranteed. All I’m going to do is to show you what works me and countless people as well.  The average person who tries affiliate marketing unfortunately never gets any results. Usually, because they don’t try, but even if they do try, there are some variables.

So, if that sounds and you’re not expecting $100,000 to fly out of your computer the minute this training is over, then I think you’re going to like this article.  So let’s go ahead, dive right in and get started.

9 Steps To Take Before Starting An Affiliate Marketing Business

1. Find A Refined Audience

The first thing that you need to do when starting your affiliate marketing business is that you need to find your refined audience. You are going to find a group of people that are interested in something. The more you know about this group of people, the better.

These people could be anything: it could be people looking for how to save money, ways to make recipes, or Indian cooking recipe, etc.  And we’re going to go through and find that group.  The best way to find this group is by using the Google Keyword Adword tool.  I have a video on my channel that talks about this tool.  This tool is the backdoor to Google. The backdoor shows you what people search for, on a monthly basis.

So,  I can go to my Google Adwords tool and type something in,  like,  “puppy won’t stop biting”, and I can see that almost 10,000 people a month are searching for “puppy won’t stop biting”. Now, that’s what we call a niche market. These are your group of people. Now, your niche market is going to start with a keyword like that, but it’s going to branch out and broad.  So, you might find out as you’re going through that the niches are going to segment into several different little niches.

So you can have something like, “puppy won’t stop biting, puppy biting too much, puppy won’t sleep, puppy won’t eat”-different things related to your niche.

Now, you want to tighten it and yet you want to be broad enough to where the money is.  Obviously, with 10,000 searches a month, you’re probably not going to make $10,000 in this market. So, we have to refine it and look for other keywords and acronyms as well.

2. Look For The Intent

Also, we’ve got to look at the intent.  Why would they search for this? If you’re in a market like, “love cryptocurrency prices, live cost prices of gold, mortgage refinancing rate, or how do I know I’m getting a divorce, e.t.c., you want to look at the intent. The intent of someone looking at “puppy won’t stop biting” is that they’ve got a puppy and they really need to train their puppy because it’s biting them and driving them nut.

Again,  I urge you to check out my video about Google ads planer and how to use it.

3. Get Your List Of Keyword

So, you’re going to get your list of keyword and be like, “okay, here is my group of people, I know what they want- they want a well-behaved puppy”. They want to have people all over and they don’t want the puppy to jump up- they want to train it so that they have a peaceful life with a puppy that only plays when you ask it to.

So, that’s the goal, that’s the intent. Now if you don’t have that goal, I’d urge you to check my video on trigger words. This is where we go through and find a niche.  If you need help finding a niche, we have a service where we actually find a niche and set up a site over at highticketniches.com.

4. Find A Niche

When I first started almost 20 years ago, my first niche was going after reports that people wanted on how to save money, how to deal with a credit card. I built a site about that, noticing what these people wanted. I wasn’t as good as I am back then, but it worked.  And I made my first $27, had my first $67,000 and the idea was to have that site to cater to these people.

5. Buy A Domain Name

Now, the next step after you get your people and you find a niche that would work is to go ahead and buy a domain name. A lot of people are like, “Marcus, can I do this with free hosting, domain name and I don’t want to invest a dime”. That’s not the kind of people I talk to. This is going to take some money.  You can do these steps for about $100, maybe less.

We have some options as well: we even have free options. Just do it right.  Again, if you’re aiming for $100,000 a year, you’ve got to see this as a business.

For some reasons, when people try affiliate marketing and internet marketing, their business sense just goes out the window.  A domain name will cost you about $8 or you can go over to gohubsite.com. it’s going to teach you how to get a domain name for free with your web hosting.

Also, on Gohubsite.com, I also teach you how to set this up the way that I do.  The reason why I tell you to get hosting through me is because I’m an affiliate and I get paid when you sign up for hosting.   Another reason is because I do this with my sites. I use the same hosting so all the training that I put out is based on that hosting platform.

Now, it’s very important that when you get your domain and hosting over at gohubsite.com, that you get a domain that fits your niche. We’ve got to get something more refined.  I would want to get something like, “puppywontstopbiting.com or puppybitingstop.com.

I want something very refined, something based on my keyword and I want to do this for every niche that I’m in. I also want something that’s easy to remember so that they can come back to me or go to me from a video. When people get confused, they don’t go to your site or buy anything. So make it easy, make it based on the keyword and very specific.  That’s what we’re doing here. If you want to get to the goal, this is your roadmap. So you find your niche, get your domain name and your hosting.

6. Set Up A Website

The next thing you want to do is set up a website. When I set up a website, I use WordPress.  I use WordPress for everything. The only time I don’t use WordPress is when I want to make a little order form. WordPress is super-easy and you can have it installed in minutes. All the tools that I designed for you in my courses works on WordPress, you just install and you’re off to the races.

So As A Recap Of The Steps:

  • First, get a niche and get it refined.
  • Make sure there is money in the niche. If you find a niche like, “how to peel a banana” and there is no affiliate offer and you can’t really find a way to make money, that’s probably not going to work. However, for “puppy won’t stop biting”, I know I can sell pet insurance, e-books on puppy training, gift-card type offers for pet companies, I can generate leads for local pet hospitals, and lots more. The two questions you have to ask yourself are, do I have a niche and is their money in the niche?
  • If the answer is “Yes”, you go to step two where you buy your domain name and web hosting.
  • Step 3 is to set up your WordPress. It doesn’t have to be fancy. You don’t have to spend a thousand dollar on a theme. Set something up simple, we have plenty of free themes. They are based on what I’ve used to make millions of dollars with a WordPress website. Don’t deviate: sometimes people deviate and they try their own theme. It doesn’t work that way. If you follow a proven formula, you’ll get a pretty good result.

So, Now What?

7. Go Through Your Keywords

The next thing you want to do is to go through your keywords. You’re going to find a lot of them. Let me pull open the Google Adwords tool so you can see how this works.

In the Google Adwords tool, we can actually go through and we can look up keywords. So, let’s do, “puppy biting” and you’re going to see lots of keywords that people look up, relating to puppy biting.

C:\Users\temiteju\Desktop\Affiliate marketing dude\roadmap pics\Image 4.jpg

As you can see, there are up 10,000 people on the search.  So, we have “stop your puppy from biting”. So, that’s our golden keyword.

C:\Users\temiteju\Desktop\Affiliate marketing dude\roadmap pics\Image 5.jpg

Check it out, low competition, 13 cents on the low end and not a lot of advertisers.

So, we go to Google and search for the keyword,

C:\Users\temiteju\Desktop\Affiliate marketing dude\roadmap pics\Image 6.jpg

Here is the thing: people don’t understand this, if you do, you may be on your way to 6 figures. The same people who look up “puppy biting” are the same people who buy pet insurance, then watch what happens.

If I search for “pet insurance”.

C:\Users\temiteju\Desktop\Affiliate marketing dude\roadmap pics\Image 9.jpg

look at that: that’s over $17 a click. That is actually saying is that the people interested in pet insurance are actually interested in “puppy won’t stop biting”.

8. Find A Way To Make Money

So what that it’s actually saying is that the same people interested in “puppy is biting” would probably be interested in “pet insurance”. It’s just a little bit different way to get there. Not everyone would be interested, but a lot will (even if it’s 1%, you’re still doing good).

We can also go to Offervault.com (which is where I go and find my affiliate offers), and I can type in “puppy training”.

C:\Users\temiteju\Desktop\Affiliate marketing dude\roadmap pics\Image 10.jpg

You can also tweak your search for something like “dog training”.

This is one and it pays $31.76.

Your goal to make $100,000 in a year is to serve this market really well. So, what you’ll want to do is to make content based on how to stop a puppy from biting.

If you don’t know how to make a content or video, then outsource it.  If you want to make $100,000 a year, you have to get some skiN in the game. You can do it yourself and make it free and you can also outsource it for like $20 an article, then you can go to Fiverr and get someone to make a video about it.  If you like dogs, get into this market and do it.

The way that I set up my site is simple, I go to affiliatemarketingdude.com, and say, “you want to get your marketing tools?  Just put your name and email in the box”.

Now, on my content stuff (like when I say,  go to gohubsite.com), I have a tutorial. And it’s really easy.

I can just build up a niche mini authority site in the “puppy stop biting” niche because that’s the deal.  They want their puppy to stop biting, and you have the solution. Then, you build a mailing list for people that have puppies. You mail that list and get them back to your affiliate offers and then you start to make money.  It’s not that hard to do, people just over complicate it.

On your site, you should have a little thing that says,  “put your name and email and hit submit” so that I can give you my “puppy stop biting guide”.

9. Find Forums In Your Market

Now, if you want to get this going, (some niches will be competitive), all you have to do is to find forums in your market.  So you can go to Google and search for “puppy biting forums”

Great, here are all the forums

C:\Users\temiteju\Desktop\Affiliate marketing dude\roadmap pics\Image 12.jpg

You can go to these forums, learn about puppy biting and help people out and lead them back to your site. The problem is, people get up one blog post and expect to get rich overnight. You’ve got to build, grow and test them. Affiliate marketing isn’t as hard as people made it cracked up to be.

Obviously, there is a lot more to it, I’d teach you a lot more about it in other training. So, pick your niche, go down the list and start making content.  If you want to get content, you can go to getwebsitecontent.com and it goes for as little as $4 for an article. Just put them on your site, make good stuff, make some videos, start to rank it, test some paid traffic.

The more you test, the more data you’re going to get, the more data you get, that’s when you won.  The internet and affiliate marketing is driven by data. The data doesn’t care how you feel.  It doesn’t care how much money you’re going to make.  It doesn’t even care who you are, it’s just data.

If people don’t go to your site and don’t rank, go back to your data and figure out what to do.  Follow this path, keep at it for like 6 months to a year, do paid traffic if you want to make money fast.

Again, be careful with paid traffic because you can lose money. This is business, you can lose money in anything, but I’ve got to tell you- if you do it right, it’s pretty done cool. I’ve lost a little bit of money, but I’ve made way more.

If you want a mentor, go to Marcusmentor.me and get started with it.  You can learn how to get me as your mentor and we’ll teach you how to do it.

This is your roadmap: go down the list,  make content, give good stuff,  lead to affiliate offers,  rinse, repeat,  build list,  email list, laser-focus on your keywords, laser-focus on your market, put good offers in front of your network and you should get some results. Thank again for reading the roadmap to $100,000 a year.
