ClickBank Affiliate Marketing for Beginners

ClickBank Affiliate Marketing for Beginners: How to Earn Money as an Affiliate or Product Vendor — affiliatemarketingmc at

Today we’re talking about ClickBank. I want you to understand exactly how Clickbank works, and if you’re a beginner, how to get started with it. What are the pros and cons of using Clickbank as an affiliate marketer? How could you get started making money pretty much right now?

Clickbank started about 18 years go, back when I started internet marketing, and it’s basically a digital product sales mechanism. There are two different sides to using Clickbank, one as a vendor and the other as an affiliate.

Clickbank Vendors

Clickbank has tens of thousands of product vendors. They mostly work with digital products. These may be software products, services, e-books, or something like that. They also get into some physical products as well, but mostly it’s digital.

If you have a product or service, or something you want to sell, you sign up to be a Clickbank vendor. I order to have your product on Clickbank, you have to pay a $50 product review fee. They review your product and make sure it’s good, that you’re not doing anything shady.

Once it’s approved, you set the price of your product. Then Clickbank gives you a link where people can purchase the product. When they do, they put their credit card information in, and you get a cut of the sale—which is the product price, minus $1, minus about 7% for processing fees. It’s much more expensive than a regular merchant account, but it’s very easy. You can sign up and be in business literally in minutes.

Clickbank Affiliates

The other side of the coin is the affiliate side. Product vendors can choose to pay affiliates to promote their products, and they decide how much commission affiliates can make, anywhere from 1 – 75%. As an affiliate, you can sign up with Clickbank for free. You’re not charged any fees, but because the vendor is charged 7%, that gets taken from your cut when you make a sale.

When you sign up for an affiliate account, you get your username. Then, you can go and find a product. You do this by going to the Clickbank product marketplace. There you’ll find tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands, of products, and you can choose which ones to promote. You’ll see some information that goes along with each product:

Product name: This is exactly what it sounds like.

Average per sale: This is the average amount you can expect to make when you sell the product.

Gravity: This is how many affiliates have made a sale in the last month. So if there is like 900 gravity, that means 900 different affiliates have made at least one sale. That means it’s pretty popular (but also competitive).

Promote: When you click that button, it’s going to generate a long Clickbank link. This is your affiliate link. Whenever you send someone to the page through this link, and they purchase the product, you get paid.

Rebill amount: If it’s a monthly subscription, this is how much you’ll get paid monthly.

[smart-affiliate-ads group=”5″ position=”random” limit=”3″]

You can have links for as many different affiliate products as you want. Then you can go into Clickbank and see which offers made you how much money that day. You can see exactly what’s going on at a glance.

On my site, I actually have a Clickbank calculator where you can figure out how much money you’ll make from a product as an affiliate. You can go to, see the calculator, and learn more about how to make money with Clickbank.

The Good and Bad Sides of Clickbank

Most people here are looking to get into Clickbank as an affiliate, so let’s talk about some of the good and bad with Clickbank affiliate marketing. The upside to Clickbank is that it’s easy. You sign up at Clickbank, you get an account, and you can start making money right away (if you can get traffic). Your account is live, and your links are live. You have one account, and there are thousands of products available.

Clickbank also has some downsides. One downside is that you have make a sale in order to get paid. This is different from CPA (cost-per-action) marketing, where that’s not always the case. With CPA marketing, sometimes you can get paid just when people fill out forms, or download things, or call a phone number, or try a product for a dollar. But with Clickbank, you only get paid when you make a sale.

Another downside is that a lot of the products on Clickbank are made by people just trying things out, so they might not be professionally done landing pages that get conversions. As affiliate marketers, we want to promote the things that convert. We want things that are going to give us what we call the biggest EPC, or earnings-per-click.

Tips for Using Clickbank

You want to find products and services that are based on what your market wants. So if you’re in the market for parenting, you could go for “kids riding a bike,” “parenting tips”, “parenting skills”, anything related to parenting. You could go to the Clickbank marketplace and find things to promote.

Let’s face it. When you promote a sales-type thing, the average conversion rate is 1% or lower. That means if you send 100 people to your site, 99 are going to leave without you making any money. So, if 99 people leave out of every 100, and you don’t get paid, that means 99% of your marketing efforts are a total and complete waste of time, money, and energy. And quite frankly, that sucks.

But there’s a way we can combat this. When I use Clickbank, I don’t just want to go put the link out somewhere random. I like to set up a blog or website about the topic. When I get people to my site, I want to capture the names and emails of people who come looking for the product. So I offer something that’s going to help them, in exchange for their information. Now, instead of a 1% conversion rate, I’m probably going to get something like 30% to 60% to put their name and email in the box. I use that to build a mailing list. Right after they put their name and email, I can shoot them to the Clickbank offer if that’s what I want to do. Personally, I like to have a little thank-you page with other offers, and that does really well.

Now I’m not wasting traffic. I can follow up, and market to my list over and over, and I can make a lot more sales. It’s extremely easy to do. When you’re dealing with internet marketing, 1% more can mean all the difference in the world.

So when you’re doing Clickbank marketing, 1) make sure your offer fits your traffic method, and 2) make sure you’re driving them to a website where you at least have other affiliate offers, or at best create a mailing list. And then when you send them over, you’re going to get a check from Clickbank, and you can go in and track everything. If you want to be a real affiliate and actually make this stuff work, I would suggest first and foremost to have your own website. I teach you how to do this at, where you can follow the instructions, and you’ll be in business in just minutes.

So, is Clickbank the be-all-end-all? Maybe, maybe not. But is it good? Yes. Is it something you should have in your affiliate marketing playbook? Absolutely.

Five Things Affiliate Marketers are Doing Wrong

Five Things Affiliate Marketers Are Doing Wrong: Affiliate Beginner Mistakes–affiliatemarketingmc at

Today we’ll be going through five things you need to do that most affiliate marketers get wrong. This affects your income, and it can even sometimes have legal consequences. So, you want to pay close attention to this. I’m not a lawyer, but this is how I understand it, and this is what I do in my business. If you have questions about any of the legal aspects, definitely seek out legal advice.

  1. Poor Link Structure

Link structure is very important. A lot of people go out on Facebook or Instagram, or even on their blogs or in their emails, and they send what we call a raw affiliate link. This is the link that a company gives you directly to market products and services. This is a big ugly link, and it’s really confusing. If you’re using an affiliate network, then it’s even worse.

These links are not intended to send people to as type-in traffic—that means they’re not links you would expect someone to type in as a URL on their browser. You don’t want to tell people to use those links. You want to tell people to go to something very, very easy. Because if you get the link wrong, or someone types in the link wrong that you’re telling them to use, you’re not going to get paid.

So, get your link structure right. What I advise everyone to do is set up their own link structure website. This can be an easy website, and it allows you to track on your end as well. Link structure is one of the most important things to keep in mind with affiliate marketing. Make sure your links are very, very concise, and very easy to use. Make sure they are all hosted on your own domain name.

  1. Not Building a List

You’ll see a lot of people on YouTube, and people with websites, and people everywhere trying to do affiliate marketing. They’ll say, “Check out this video, and here’s a list of the things that I used in the video.” This will be lists of their cameras and microphones and stuff like that. But, their link structure will be off, and they’ll send out raw (or even cloaked) affiliate links.

Instead, you want to say, “Go to my site to get my gear guide.” Then, people will go to your site, put in their name and email, and then they will get your list of things. That way, you can write back to them and say, “Hey, did you get the gear? Check it out – I found something new.” And when you build your list, you’ll have the ability to market to people over and over and make lots of money.

  1. Quick Buck Mentality

The third thing I see affiliate marketers do wrong is that they have the “quick buck mentality”. They look for the quick buck at the expense of their bottom line. And because of this, they’re just setting things up, putting things out there, and they’re making a little bit of money but not doing the long-term game.

You’ll see people out there doing launch jacking and doing affiliate promos where they rank for a product. And it’ll work and they’ll get some sales, but they’re not building a mailing list or getting their old content picked up by the search engines. This is extremely important.

Even if you’re doing launch jacking, or even if you’re doing simple video promotions, put those on your site. Go for the keywords, and double up your content. This is what we call repurposing content. This is where you repurpose content and you’re able to use it for different purposes. In this case, ranking, which is really cool and really important. You’ll get lots of traffic and hopefully make lots of money.

  1. Not Building on Content

The fourth one is a lot like the third one. Affiliate marketers don’t build on their content. You can take old content and you can use it to promote affiliate products. You can use it for product launches. You can use it for sending out things to your mailing list.

You want to find out what people are interested in. You want to build on the content in a way that makes sense and helps the visitor. Focus on giving good value based on what people are searching for.

  1. No Affiliate Marketing Disclaimers

There are people that promote different affiliate offers, and they don’t disclose that they are an affiliate. Not having this disclaimer can get you in a lot of hot water. (Again, I’m not a lawyer, so don’t listen to me for legal advice, but this is how I understand it. If you have any questions, seek legal counsel before you set this up.)

If you’re being paid to send people to something, and you’re compensated for reviewing products, you can’t act like you are just a normal person out there reviewing things. You have to go out and say you are getting paid to promote these products. Whether it’s Facebook Instagram, etc., if you’re getting paid, you need to disclose that to your visitors.

Even on YouTube, if you’re selling stuff and you say, “Check out my gear guide,” you need to tell your viewers that you’ll be paid if they buy something from this gear guide because you’re an affiliate.

One of the ways I do this is to tell people I’m an affiliate, and then offer bonuses to help people out when they buy through my links. And in my case, I give videos on how to actually use the gear. You can keep something like that in mind when promoting products you use yourself.

Marketing Automation Tools For Affiliate Marketing & Small Business

Marketing Automation Tools For Affiliate Marketing & Small Business MUST HAVE 2018 + How They Work! — affiliatemarketingmc at

Today we’re going to map out all the tools that you would need to start an internet business. When you’re starting out, you don’t need to have all these tools up front. You want to get in the habit of getting tools as needed. (For example, when you decide to build a mailing list, then you get an autoresponder. When you decide to sell something, then you get your shopping cart.)

Depending on where you’re at in your business, you might be ready to get all these things. Or, you might be just starting, and we’re going to show you how to do it. I’m going to put a list of all the tools we talk about over at, so you can go there and get all the tools and links.

  1. A Domain Name

First of all, if you’re starting an internet business, you’ve got to have a domain name. This is kind of like your business storefront. It’s where you’re going to put your business. I tell people to start with a hub site so they have somewhere to put everything. I prefer to have a .com name, but sometimes those are taken. So if you have to get a different one, that’s okay too. I like to also stick to .net or .org.

If you go through the web hosting process that we teach you (you’ll learn more about that in a moment), they give you a free domain name. But if you don’t use that, a domain name usually costs between $8 and $15, or something like that.

  1. Web Hosting

Next, you need to get yourself web hosting. We have our recommendations over at Web hosting is where you store everything. Your host will give you two different addresses of where your stuff will go, and then you’ll have a folder on the web with all your files, and you can install different things like content management software, or you could simply use it to host static files. It’s just like a folder on your computer, only it’s on the web and everyone can see it.

Now your domain has something to link your stuff to. Web hosting is usually around $6 a month until you get into really big stuff. If you have serve massive video files or something like that, you might want something more robust. But for 99% of internet marketing people, it will be about $6 a month.

  1. A Content Management System

The next thing you choose is what we call our content management system. This is where you decide if you want your site to be a blog (which I highly recommend), or a static site, or a membership site, etc. I tell most people to start with a blog, specifically with WordPress. WordPress is an open source software that goes on your server. That might sound complicated, but it’s pretty simple. The web host gives you the software, and they give you one button to push that installs it on your site. It can take literally less than five minutes to get your domain name and set this up.

WordPress is free, and they come with all kinds of tools and plugins. A lot of those are free too, and some of them cost money—it just depends on what you want to do. Now you can start posting and running affiliate offers, and you can start making money. You can make a little blog, maybe about traveling, or video cameras, or mortgages, and you can put some affiliate offers on there.

  1. A Mailing List

A lot of people say that the money is in the list. A mailing list is a way to collect names and emails of people who visit your site, so you can market to them over and over and make lots of money. Personally, I’ve made millions of dollars with my mailing lists, and I make money with them every single day.

You have to have what we call an autoresponder. They give you a little code, and you can plug this into your blog. That allows you to have an opt-in page, where people can enter their names and emails, and you can get those emails onto your mailing list. Autoresponders are usually about $17 a month. Some of the fancier ones cost more. We have a list of our top-rated autoresponders over at These are very easy to integrate with your content management system (like WordPress).

  1. A Payment Option

So now you have your mailing list, and you’re sending out emails to your people. You have your blog, and people are coming in. Let’s say you decide that you want to sell your own product. Maybe you have your own book, or coaching program, or you want to sell something on your own.

Next, you want to add some sort of payment option. These are what we call merchant accounts. They allow you to take money via credit card, or whatever it may be. The person buys something, and the money goes right into your account. There are popular options like PayPal and Stripe that are free to sign up, but they take around 3% of whatever your sales are. So if you make $1,000 in a month, they’re only going to take around $30 or something. You only have to pay if you make any money, which is cool.

  1. A Shopping Cart

Now that you have a merchant account, you need to get the account up on your website with an order form so that people can pay you. This could be in the form of a shopping cart. There are all different kinds of shopping cart softwares and customer management solutions that integrate with lots of different merchant accounts, and they are pretty easy to set up.

Most merchant accounts will give you a link to your order form, and then you’ll just put that link somewhere on your blog, or you can put it in the emails on your autoresponder. There are some downsides to having that link on your site: 1) it’s hosted on a different site, 2) it’s not very customizable and sometimes really ugly, and 3) you can’t really automate things very efficiently.

You have your content management system, and you have an ad, or you tell someone to go to your domain. That brings them to your website. Your website has all of the WordPress blog stuff. People like what they see, and they put their name and email in the box. They go into your database, and it’s all stored on your autoresponder. This means you can now email them whenever you want (within reason, obviously). Then you have your merchant account, which is linked to your credit management software / customer management software. Then you have the order form that you put on your blog.

You make a new blog post for people, and you say, “Hey, check this out. I have this new blog post for you.” On the bottom of the blog post it says, “Here’s a link: push the big button.” The button is going to take them to that order form. They order something, and you get the money in your account, usually in 1-3 business days.

Don’t get all of these tools until you’re ready to use them. Just start with the basics.

Why Aren’t You Making Any Sales with Your Website?

Here’s Why You Have No Sales On Your Website And Affiliate Marketing Offers — affiliatemarketingmc at

Today we’re talking about why people aren’t making sales on their websites. A lot of people come to me and say, “Marcus, why is my stuff not selling? I have a website, I have traffic, I have affiliate offers, but I’m not making any money.” We’ll be talking about the reasons that you’re not making sales. These will change the way that you do marketing online.

  1. Traffic is Not Targeted

The first reason people do not get sales online is because their traffic is not targeting the right people or the right group. You have to get in front of your ideal customer.

A lot of people think that web marketing is all about numbers. They think, “If I could just show my product to millions of people, someone’s going to buy now.” Well, that might be true. But the chances of showing your product to millions of people is probably pretty slim. So, for the average person out there, you need a very, very targeted audience. You need to find out exactly who’s going to benefit most from our product.

If you’re in the software industry (let’s say you’re selling things to help people get more sales), you can target people looking at “how to improve webinar conversion”, or people searching “how to make new buttons for their website”, or people looking for “how to click PayPal”, and things like that.

If you have something for people that are looking for self-development, you want to go for people that are searching “depression”, or people that are looking for “how do I get out of a slump”, or “why am I not productive”, or “why don’t I feel happy”. Those kinds of things are very good.

So, putting yourself in front of the right customer and the right visitor is the most important thing. If you are going out there and you say, “Well, Marcus, I just want people looking up software or people looking up personal development,” the problem is they’re not a really targeted customer, and it’s usually very difficult and expensive to get visitors in those markets.

  1. People Don’t Want It

Do people really care about your product? You might have a product and you’re like, “Hey, this is the greatest thing in the world,” but nobody really cares. A lot of businesses are in the business graveyard because they had products that they thought were going to be good, but they didn’t test the market.

How are you going to know things are going to be good? You have to test the market. You have to look at what they’re going to be interested in. You need to not only be in front of people who want your product, but also find out if there’s a demand for your product.

[smart-affiliate-ads group=”5″ position=”random” limit=”3″]

  1. People Can’t Afford It, or They Don’t Accept the Price

The next reason is the price. If you target people who don’t have the means to afford your product, you’re not going to sell it.

But even if people can afford your product, they may object to the price anyway. The price objection is really difficult to deal with, because it’s not actually real. People will pay whatever price you ask, as long as it shows the value of what they want.

For example, if I say, “I can help you make $100,000 a year online”, well, you’re going to be okay with paying a lot for that.

Think about how this works. Why is someone willing to pay $300,000 for a fancy Mercedes, as opposed to someone paying $20,000 for a regular car? If the guy is selling a $300,000 car, he’s not just selling a car. He’s selling a mindset of an exclusive community of people who own a certain type of car and have a certain type of stigma or status along with it. So, it’s much more than just a car.

You need to overcome the price objection by telling people what they’re going to get for it.

  1. You Don’t Know How to Sell It

The last (and perhaps most important) reason is that you simply don’t know how to sell your product.

If you’re not making sales and you’re not getting people to click on your affiliate offers, and people aren’t buying things from your web links and your websites, these are the things you need to know.

This is where a lot of people mess it up. I see people on webinars and stuff, and they try to sell something. They think they’re doing a great job, but they’re really waffling it when it comes to sales. This is what I see all the time. People get all excited and crazy when it comes time to sell stuff, because of a mindset we have about sales.

A lot of people look at sales and they think it’s something shady or silly. They think it’s something crazy, instead of looking at it for what it actually is. So, what is it? If you’re doing it right, the idea of sales is to help people make an informed decision and buy something, plain and simple.

Just last week, I did a series of webinars for a new software that came out. I tested the software and I saw that it’s absolutely amazing, and it helps you run your business. So I talked about it, and I said, “These are the three things you need to run your business.” If I had just said, “I got this great software, you need to go buy it,” I might have gotten a few sales. But instead, I said, “These are the five things that I do to sell products every day online. And guess what? This product makes these five things super easy.” Boom, sales pitch done. Very simple. This makes it easy.

You don’t have to have some crazy sales pitch. You don’t have to have some outlandish offer that no one believes. You simply need to tell the truth and say, “this is what I have, and here’s what it’s going to do for you, and here’s where to get it.”

Or you say, “These are the things I’m going to teach you.” This is called info marketing. We’re marketing via teaching, via information. That is what you do as an affiliate marketer, or as a product seller. That’s what you do if you’re a coach. With anything online, you’re in the information business, and your job is to educate someone.

For example, if a realtor comes to your house and they say, “I want to sell your house,” you probably won’t want to work with them right off the bat. But if a realtor comes to you and says, “Hey look, a couple of houses sold in your area. I thought you might be

interested. There was one over there that’s very comparable to yours, and it sold for $582,000. There’s another one that has less bedrooms than yours does, but it does have a pool, and that one went for $602,000. Then there’s one over here that sold for this amount. So, I think if you put your house on the market, we could probably get $587,000.” And you would say, “Wow, that’s great.”

And then the realtor would say, “Guess what? I’m not even going to charge you anything if it doesn’t sell for something around those numbers. So I’ll put it on the market, I’ll do all the work, and if you don’t want the price I get you, you simply don’t accept it.” See how that realtor educated you? You’d be much more likely to work with them.

How to Make the Sale

  • Target the right market. Find people you can actually help.
  • Make sure your prospect wants your product. Find people who are interested and actively looking for your product.
  • Go for someone who can afford your product. They should believe that the price is going to help them.
  • Learn how to sell. Some people just need to learn how to sell.

If you do this right, and you focus and you listen to your visitor based on what they click on, what they ask you, what they’re looking at, how long they stay there, if you focus on this stuff you will make sales and you will make money.

Grow and Profit with Social Media (Webinar Bonus Tips and FAQ)

How To Use FREE Social Media Traffic From Instagram And Facebook To Make Money  : Influencer Tips – affiliatemarketingmc at

Bonus Tip A: Focus and refine your audience

Make sure that your audience is refined and you know who you’re talking to. It’s better to have 1,000 really refined people follow you than 1,000,000 untargeted people. Don’t be spammy—focus on the visitor more than you focus on your product. Focus on what they’re interested in and help them out.

If you have a mom that is trying to raise a bunch of kids, she doesn’t want to see ads for new diapers or bottles or something like that. She’s trying to raise her kids. So you could give her some tips. “Tip #1: Here’s how you can put all the kids down for a nap.” Give her tips that will help her.

If you’re a time management person, give your market some tips on time management every day. “Tip #1: Get involved in this.” “Tip #2: Put a timer on your social media.

Bonus Tip B: Give people a reason to follow and anticipate your posts

Why should people listen to you? Why should they follow you? This goes back to your target group of people. If you’re targeting the mom trying to raise a bunch of kids, think about that market. What would that mom appreciate you for posting? What would she like to see? Focus on that.

Don’t just have people follow your posts: make them anticipate your posts as well. When I don’t do a webinar or a live training when I’m scheduled to, people get all twisted. They ask where I am and what is wrong. They know I’m supposed to have a live training on Wednesdays and Fridays at 10 am. They anticipate it. You should get people to do the same.

How much time do you spend doing your social media?

I spend about 20 minutes a day on social media.

Do you normally start with YouTube, and then your content gets broken into other formats?

Sometimes that’s what happens. Sometimes not. At this point in the game, I have so much content, there’s always stuff to put out. And that’s part of the snowball effect. So as you go along, that will happen to you as well.

I don’t want to do video. What’s the next best way to start?

If you’re doing social media, the next best way to start is to do images. There are lots of people who have huge followings just based on Instagram images.

Is the Social Profit Tools program part of the Simple Sites course?

Social Profit Tools is separate from Simple Sites. If you opt-in now, you’re not committed to the program. You’re just opting in to get the details.

What is your webinar setup?

It’s pretty basic. I have three monitors all hooked up to one computer. I use the OBS Studio, which you can use for webinars. Then I have another monitor so I that can read comments and check things and go back and forth. I have another monitor on the Lazy Susan.

(We actually got this because the kids thought the word Lazy Susan was hilarious. So it was funny for like a week, and then it ended up in the office. Which is actually perfect, because when I’m at my desk I can read the monitor, and when I’m at the blackboard, I can just spin it and still read it. So it’s really cool.)

Then I have a cheap $100 webcam and a mic.

I also have my big camera set up behind my screen. It’s hooked up through HDMI and just goes to a video capture card, which then goes to the computer.

What kind of camera do you use? How much does it cost?

The camera is a 4K Cam, and I think it was $600.

Is the mic a radio mic?

No, this is actually a $95.00 wireless mic. It’s awesome and I love it. I’ve tried tons of them, but this one works really well and I think it sounds good.

I only have two monitors. Should I get a third one?

They’re only around $50, so yeah, I would get a third one if you can.

(I’ll put all the tools that I use on the Social Profit Tools program. The reason I’m doing that is because I’m an affiliate marketer, and if you buy the tools I use, I want you to go through my affiliate link so that I get paid. That’s how marketing works right there.)

How do you get motivated?

You might wait and think that you need to feel motivated. But you need to forget about waiting.

You motivate yourself. When do something, you’ll then create motivation. Test something. Work something out. Help someone. Motivation starts with motion. Move your ass and your brain will follow.

If you’re not motivated, get started anyway. Go out there and get something done, and you will start to get motivated.

If you want the notes from this webinar, go to Put in your name and email, and I’ll send them to you free of charge. You’ll also get emails and other great stuff as well.

That way you’ll get my new videos and you get a notification when we go live every Wednesday and Friday right here on the channel to teach you how to profit with affiliate marketing.

Now let’s dive right in into the topic because I know it’s kind of itching and we’re going to scratch that itch here.  So what we’re going to do is to talk about why this works, why do I use WordPress. Now you might have noticed a lot of hype around different shopping carts systems like Katra, clickfunnels, and all this stuffs. Now, these are good and I use them all the time. So what I do is I use WordPress to host all of my pages and all of my contents that I’m going to serve out to my market. So for right now, what I do is that I drive traffic to this page and this is a WordPress page that allows me to get people to opt-in so that they become a part of my list.

Now if you’re on my list, you should have seen this and how it works. What happens is here is that when they go here, they’ll have a choice between a couple different pages that are about the topics the site is about. So I got like, download your tools, about Marcus, how to become an affiliate, products, and start here first. So we use those as a way to get people in. Currently, this page is converting on cold traffic from all over the place. We’re converting about 36%. That means if 100 people come into this page, 36 of them opt-in. Now the rest of them click other things and eventually opt-in, not all of them but a good portion of them do.

Behind the scene is what you don’t see because we just clicked this, and you’re going to see this (fig. 2).  You’re going to see the opt-in page and everything. You’re going to see the product, start here first, and all other stuff. But what you’re not seeing is behind the scene I actually have a ton of content. Right if I actually go into my affiliate marketing dude WordPress dashboard, (fig 3), and I go into “my post.” You’re going to see tons and tons of content. we’ve got a lot of pages of content.

For example, we have one on Clickbank affiliate marketing for beginners (fig. 4). This one here has a video and it has content. So this is a great one for me to send out to my list, for me to rank in the search engine to get traffic, perhaps you use paid traffic tool, whatever. It’s got content on it and it works. So, what I do is every week I send this out to people on my mailing list because they like this kind of stuff. So, we’re killing two birds with one stone and we’re having a place to put all of our contents. That’s really easy to set up. I’m going to show you how to do this in a really cool way.

In order to do this, what we need to do first and foremost if you have not set up your hubsite and your hubdomain, go to and set that up. Once you set that up, you’re going to be right there. Now after you set that up, you’re going to be to your dashboard (fig. 5). Now what I’m doing is that I’m setting this for you with this guide so that you can see how it works on the domain After this article, you’re going to get the and you’re going to download the theme that I am using so that you can build all these stuff on your own and have your own affiliate marketing money machine where you put all your content and make all your money, which is pretty cool.

And again, what we’re doing is using this for content; we’re using all those other tools like kartra, clickfunnels, and everything like that to sell stuff. If you’re an affiliate marketer, all you need is this theme, and maybe an autoresponder. So what we’re going to do is we’re going to go ahead and start. So, again,, you’re going to use that, you’re going to install your blog and boom; you’re going to be here. This is where you are after you start your hubsite and you start your blog. As you can see if we’re going to pull up right now, we’ll get nothing. Now this on its own isn’t going to do anything for anyone. What we’re going to do is to spice it up a bit and we’re going to control it.

First and foremost, what we need is a theme that we can use to control all our stuff (Maybe has a logo at the bottom, but something that converts.) We’ve got to have something that converts. Something that gets our visitors to click on our offers, go to our affiliate pages, check out our mailing list, and everything. We’ve got to get them to convert; we’ve got to get them to do stuff because when they don’t do stuff, we’re not going to get paid. And that sucks, we want to get paid, that’s all the point. So let’s talk about how to get paid.

How To Get Paid

Start with your theme

First of all, what you want to do is you want to start with your theme. You have your theme available at You can go there, get it, put it on your blog and you’re good. So we’re going to go here (fig. 6). This is where we’re going to be right after we’ve started our blog. You’ll go to appearance>themes>add new>Upload themes. You’re going to choose the file you download from, install now and then name it something cool.

You can then click “activate”, as shown here.  Once you activate, you’re going to notice that the theme changes. So you’re going to reload the page. You’re going to see, “welcome to WordPress, hello word, logo here, background here (fig. 7). It’s not pretty, right, we’ve got to do some stuff here to make things pretty. Now, the reason it’s like this is because its actually going to help you convert everything in a very easy way.

Add A Logo

First of all, what we got to do is to add a logo. You can make a logo for $30, you can make a logo for free, and it’s completely up to you. This is a logo that I created in literarily like 5 seconds that I’ll show you right now. The way that I made this theme for you is super easy. All you got to do is upload 2 data files and I’ll show you how to do that as well. It’s going to be on C-panel and we’ll show you how to do it. So, what we’re going to do is we’re going to upload the file logo. png and background.png.

For me, what I’m going to do is I’m going to use this pretty background and the logo I created. We’re going to upload it instead of having this background and this logo; we’ve got our own stuff. So I’m going to go ahead and click on upload (fig. 8), We’re going to go ahead and upload. Then when you’re done uploading those images, you just hit refresh and boom, now your page is beautiful with a cool background.

Now, what you need to keep in mind is that these themes and these layouts that I designed for you are based on testing of over hundreds of millions of visitors to my website and blogs. This is based on what works. You can go out there, you can get a pretty theme, you can have a beautiful website but is it going to convert for you? What I’ve seen is, No it’s not.

A hundred and hundreds of other platforms that have tested this are also saying the same thing. Pretty blogs don’t convert; you need something that’s going to draw the visitor to exactly what you want them to see, which just so happened to be what gets you paid. So let’s go ahead and talk about how this works.

How Does A WordPress Blog Work?

So now that you have your page set up like this (fig. 9) with your logo and your background, what we’re going to do is to show you the platform of how a blog works. First of all, we’re going to go into settings>general (this is where you’re going to change your keyword and other stuff). So if I do simple WordPress themes for affiliate marketing (fig. 10). It’s super easy as shown here.

The next thing we’re going to do is we are going to go to “reading” (fig. 11). I’m going to go ahead and choose “front page display’ and hit the change button. Next, we’ll be going to permalinks; and under permalinks, we’re going to choose “postname”.  That means that if I make a post about something, it’s going to be a keyword in the post and that’s good for search engine rankings. All what that does is that it changes from this WordPress page to your simple page.

Also if you want to have no sidebar widget, all you got to do is to parent> widget and you’re going to see all that stuff. So if I take the search box out, (fig. 12), you’re going to see the search box now disappears like magic and you can do that for others too. This works really easy for affiliate marketing stuff

We can now go in here and edit the pages. So we’ll go to pages, find the sample page and click edit. Now what we want to do is we want to name our page what we want. (Fig. 13).

Next, we can design what we want to put, like, “Download your free high converting theme plus get a free plugin and some other stuff to help you profit online with affiliate marketing.”, and update it. Here is what it actually looks like (fig.14). Imagine how easy it’s going to be if you have a new affiliate offer.

Now let’s say you want people to opt-in, all you got to do is to go to your favorite autoresponder. We can use kartra, we can use clickfunnels, or whatever we want. Clickfunnel is a little different because you have to like link up to them.

I can go to Aweber, generate my code. And follow the steps as shown in this video. I don’t need to know what all this stuffs means, all I need to know is to know what my list name is and what I want to send them afterward. If afterward, I want to send them to a different post or different page, I can go into post> and follow instructions as shown in the video. In the end, it should be like this (fig 15) beautiful squeeze-in page where you can opt in here. And when they opt in here, they’re going to be taken to the post we just created for how to do affiliate marketing (fig. 16).

So, now let’s set this up so we’re actually going to show you how the affiliate marketing side of things works so you can make pages and posts for affiliate marketing and just start getting paid. Okay, on this one it’s very important to use the thank you page to reiterate what was going on in the welcome or the opt-in page. So on the opt-in page; I was giving them the free theme. I’m like “hey, get the free theme here”. Now in order to use this theme, I know they need to have a blog and they need to have a web hosting, so my first big affiliate offer should be web hosting. So I’m going to go to the “comment” here and delete them. You can also disable all comments if you wish to. It’s completely up to you. We’re going to go to “post” and click on edit post.

Again, this is super easy, drag and drop just like put things where you like and you’re ready to go. So we’re going to go to the Edit post> and follow the instructions as shown in this video.

The idea here is to let this page guide you because this theme is going to allow you to make things really easy for your visitors which is the key to making money. Now if you confuse your visitors with too much stuff you’re not going to make money.

Other Benefits Of Using Simpleblogtheme

I want to show you the other benefit of this. In one of my blog, 17), you can see on the main page that these links here I use it for Instagram and stuffs like that. But behind the scenes on this blog, I actually have a lot of stuff. I want to show you this because this is going to show you how I run this.

So behind the scene are the hub pages and you can see all the pages. So instead of saying, “hey, go to my site, I can now make it smart. I can now be like, “okay, hey check this out, you want to learn how I made $18,000 this month promoting one simple offer that only costs visitors a dollar”. You’ll be like, “yes I want to learn how”. Go to And then now, they just go to, they watch the little video, opt-in and here we go! Now o can have tons of these pages for tons of different things. For this one here, I have a Clickbank. So I did one for Clickbank stuff (fig. 19). I’m like “hey, you want to get Clickbank tips? Put your name and email in the box. I did one for pay per click. If they want to get a paid marketing evaluation, get your custom paid marketing evaluation. That’s on affiliatemarketing

So as you can see, it’s really easy to use. So in this example (fig. 20). If I have like and I want them to go to the hosting page to learn how to do hosting. All I need to do is to go and “Add new post” and type “hosting’ and the hyperlink would be Its super simple, super easy and you can keep everything on track and you can keep track of everything in one single area. It’s very easy! So it’s very important that you set this up like your hub site. If you use the plugins that we give you as parts of simplesitebig profit or any of our classes you’ll make a success as an affiliate.

And once you set this up on one side, you can use it on everything so it works extremely well. You can put an advertisement, you can put anything you want on your blog that serves the customer and makes you money. So I highly recommend setting up a blog like this using one of the simple affiliate marketing WordPress themes that we’ve created for you at You can go to; you can get one of these themes and set it up so that you’re ready to go. As you can see its super easy to make these types of pages and it’s super easy to make everything work for you. You can add new stuff at the drop of a hat and literally make money, instantly. Disclaimer, not everyone is going to make money, most people do not make money. There is always a risk in business, you can always lose money but I think if you follow this step and learn exactly how to do it, hopefully, you’ll get some success.

My average students probably don’t do anything with what I teach, but we’ve had some people who have done extremely well, some make a few hundred of bucks a month, some people make a few hundred thousand dollars a month, and a lot of people in between. So if you’re interested in this, go to and get the theme, it’s free, and set up your hosting. Get everything set up and you can start promoting affiliate offer, right now. Thanks for reading. Clickbank Affiliate Marketing For Beginners-How To Earn Money As An Affiliate Marketer

I remembered it like it was yesterday. It was July 4th of the year, 2000 and I just headed out to my family’s house for the afternoon for all kind of festivity (here in the State we always celebrate 4th of July).  I remember my Dad was joking about Clickbank, what is Clickbank?. He thought it was the funniest thing ever. And when I went home that night, after all the fireworks and everything else, I noticed in my Clickbank account that I’ve made $21 that day.

Here I am, I was completely away from the computer all day. I was a 20-year-old kid and I found out, “Hey check this out, I made 21 bucks from the website I set up that I didn’t even work on it, and boom it just came like magic”. That was the first automatic $21 I ever made on the internet.

Since then I’ve made millions of dollars online. I’m writing this article to show you exactly how Clickbank works, how you can get started with Clickbank if you’re a complete beginner. What are the pros and cons of using Clickbank as an affiliate marketer and how you can get started making money pretty much right now? Because I’ll never forget the feeling I felt.

Even when $21 is completely insignificant, the feeling was amazing. I felt like “Hey I can make money passively from a website I set up, that took about an hour to make back then, and I got paid”.

If you want to get paid, if you want to learn how to make money with ClickBank, this is the right track for you. We’re going to show you exactly what Clickbank is, how to get started with Clickbank, and how you can turn a profit.

If you like this stuff and you want to learn about affiliate marketing and everything like that, make sure you hit the subscribe button here, click a little bell notification because we actually have live training on YouTube every single week( Awesome stuff).

What Is Clickbank And How Does It Work?

Well, Clickbank started about 18 years ago back when I started Affiliate marketing and it started as a digital product sales mechanism. If you had a digital product or a PDF download, then you can sell it online. What Clickbank did is you’ll sign up for an account, set the price of your product, and then you’ll tell them what the link was to download the product after someone ordered.

When someone ordered they put the credit card information in (that’ll go to Clickbank), you’ll get a cart which was the product price, less $1 and less about 7% for processing fees. That was quite more expensive than the regular merchant account yet it was easy. Just sign up and you’ll be in business in minutes.

Clickbank- The Two Sides Of The Coin

Clickbank as a Vendor

Now, in order to have your product on Clickbank, you have to pay a $50 product look out fee. They review your product, make sure it’s good, and that you’re not shady. Once it’s approved, you get everything ready to go. You’ll get a link where people can purchase the product and you get paid.

Now, that is one side of Clickbank and it’s the Vendor side. So we have the vendors on one side. This is if you have a product or service or something that you want to sell, you go to Clickbank, you sign up, and you get your order forms and everything like that. The cool thing about Clickbank is that they have tens of thousands of product vendors. There is all kind of different products from, ‘how to teach your kid to walk or ride a bike, to “how to make money on the internet”. Tons and tons of digital products are on the Clickbank.

The Affiliate sides

Now the other side of the coin is what we call the Affiliate side. As an Affiliate, you can sign up with Clickbank for free. You sign up for an affiliate account and you get to use your name. My username back then was “Momweapons” and my idea was to create software for everything for network marketers. I did that and made a lot of money with it. So your Affiliate name would be whatever you choose. You can now go and look at the ten thousand, or tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of products on Clickbank and you can promote them as an affiliate.

Now, as a product vendor, I have the option of saying, “Hey, yes, I want to pay affiliates to promote my products”.  I can set it from anything from like 1% commission to 75% commission which means that as an affiliate, you can promote the product and get 1 to 75% commission.

That means if the product is $100, and I sell it I’ll get somewhere in the neighborhood of $68 or something like that (after all the fees). As an affiliate, you’re not charged any fee, but because the vendor is charged the 7%, that gets passed on to you so you got to do your math accordingly. On my site, I actually have a Clickbank calculator where you can figure out this stuff. Now, you can go to, see that calculator and learn all about how to make money with the Clickbank. Now the way that this works is that

  • You sign up for an affiliate account at Clickbank
  • Put your username

Let’s say you’re in the niche of teaching children how to ride a bike (This is actually one I did and made a little money with) or in a niche where you’re teaching people how to take care of their goldfish. So there are lots of ways to make money. You’re out there, and you’re like “Okay, I got my website or I got my links for “How to train your Goldfish”.

Then you go to what’s called the Clickbank Marketplace. The Clickbank marketplace is where thousands and thousands of products from vendors are listed. You’ll see certain things in the Clickbank product marketplace.

First of all, you’re going to see:

  • The product name
  • The average amount you can expect to make when you sell that product
  • Gravity-This is how many affiliates have made a sale in the last months. For example, 900 gravity means that 900 different affiliates have made at least one sales. It means it’s pretty popular, also competitive.

And then you’re going to see a big promote button. You’re going to click the promote button to generate a long Clickbank a link and this Clickbank link is your affiliate link. Whenever you send someone to the page through this link and he purchases the product, you get paid. So, that’s how that works.

Also, you’re going to see other things. If it’s a monthly subscription you get paid monthly which is pretty cool.  I still get paid for some monthly subscriptions I signed up back in 2011. It’s just like 7 years of people paying me.

Now you can have links to as many different affiliate products as you want. You can promote all of them if you want. What you want to do is to find products and services that can be based on what your market wants.

So when finding a market for like, ‘how to be a parent’, I can go for a kid riding bike, parenting tips, parenting skills, anything related to parenting. I can go to Clickbank marketplace and find things to promote. So these are the two sides, you can be a vendor and have a product to sell, or you can be an affiliate.

The Good, Bad, And Ugly Side Of Clickbank Affiliate Marketing

Now most people reading this are looking to get into Clickbank as an affiliate. So let’s talk about some of the good, the bad, and the ugly about Clickbank affiliate marketing.

It is easy

When we have Clickbank marketing, the good side is that it is easy. You sign up in Clickbank, you get an account and you start making money, literarily, instantly. If you can get traffic, you can make money instantly.

The downside-Sales

The downside is sales. You actually have to make sales to get paid. So if you go out there and you’re like, “I want to get paid $27 anytime someone buys this diet book” You actually have to get people to buy it. Now in CPA affiliate marketing, this isn’t always the case. Sometimes you can get paid just for people filling out forms, download things, call a phone number, we get paid. Sometimes it’s easier “to go with CPA affiliate marketing. So that’s one of the downsides of Clickbank.

Refund policy

Another downside of Clickbank is that you get a refund. Clickbank has a refund policy that is approximately like 60 days, no questions asked. You ask for a refund and you get it. This affects your sales. For people starting out, if you’re paying for traffic, you’ve got to factor in the refund rate. You need to factor in maybe 10 to 20% just in case you get refunds. That’s another downside.

Trial unprofessional products

Another downside of Clickbank is that a lot of the products are made by people just trying the thing out. So it might not be professionally done. So what we want to do as affiliate marketers is we want to promote the things that convert. We want things that are going to give us what we call the biggest EPC (Earnings Per Click).

If I send 1000 people to my Clickbank link, how much am I going to get paid? I see a lot of people doing Clickbank and they brag about the numbers like 30 to 60 cents per click which for me is quite low. I’m not in the business to make 60 cents per click; I want to make a lot more.

In some market, 30-60 cents per click is good but in a lot of them like diet and weight loss, and money making, that’s not going to be good enough to justify the amount it cost to get the traffic.

So the EPC is very important and you’ll want to look at that. What I like to do is I like to use Clickbank as a supplementary offer (very important). So when I get traffic to my site, I always want to have a blog or a website. I always want to capture the names and emails of people coming to my site.

You Need A Blog/Website For Your Product

Let’s face it, when you promote a product, the average conversation rate is 1% or lower.

That means if you send 100 people to the site, 99 are going to leave without you making any money. So if 99 people leave out of every hundred and you don’t get paid, that means 99% of your marketing efforts are a total and complete waste of time, energy, money and quite frankly that sucks.

So what I like to do is that I like to set up a blog or a website about the topic. The topic could be diet or weight loss, or something like that. When we go after the topics of diet and weight loss, I can get people to my site and I can say, “Hey check this out, I have a guide for you that’s going to help you with dieting”.

They put their name and email for the guide, and I can follow up with them. Now, instead of getting every 1%, I’m probably going to get something like 30 to 60% to put their name and email in the box. Now I’m not wasting traffic, I can follow up and make sales.

When you’re doing internet marketing, 1% more can make all the difference in the world. So now I can get 30 to 60% of the people and build in a mailing list (they put their name and emails), and I can shoot them the Clickbank offer if that’s what I want to do.

This is an example that I did with the tattoo market. I got my tattoo site, and then I said, “Put your email to search for tattoos”. Then on the thank you page, I run an offer for the gift card/tattoo offer, and then I took them over to the Clickbank offer. Now, the Clickbank offer has made about 10% of the income. So when I got like $200 a day, I was getting about 2 to 3 sales of the Clickbank tattoo book and the rest of the income was from the CPA offers. If you want to be a real affiliate and actually want to make the stuff work in a cool way, I’ll suggest

First and foremost have your own website. I’ll teach you how to do this at and you’ll be in business in like 17 minutes.

Then capture the names and emails of the people that are coming to my site. It is extremely easy to do. We’ll teach you all this stuff here on the channel which is why you’re going to want to subscribe right now and click the bell notification icon. So when you’re doing Clickbank marketing,

  • Make sure your offer fits your traffic method
  • Make sure you’re driving into a website where you’ll either at least have other affiliate offer or at best create a mailing list and then when you send them over you’re going to get a track from Clickbank.

You can go in and track everything. So you go into Clickbank and see exactly what’s going on at a glance. It is very easy and you can get started right now with Clickbank and affiliate marketing.

What I’d urge you to do if you’re interested in affiliate marketing and Clickbank, whether you want to be a vendor or an affiliate, is to go over to and download our free marketing toolbar. This has all the links and tools that you need to get started making a living with affiliate marketing fast, like literarily right now if you want to.

I know you’re going to love that toolbar. It’s free and all I ask is that if you like it and if you want to buy something from me, go ahead. That’s why we’re putting it over there with what exactly I’ m teaching you to do with this process. So what I’m going to do over on that site is if you want that toolbar, put your name and email on the box, then you’re going to download the toolbar, use it and hopefully you buy something down the line. That’s exactly what we’re doing. If you want to see that process, you can go do that and check out all the things we have for you.

So, Clickbank? Is it good?

Is it something you should have in your affiliate marketing playbook?

Of course, it is.
