Changing Contact Info Tutorial

Hey Guys! It’s Marcus here and what we’re going to do today is we’re going to change the contact info on your domain name in namecheap.

So what happens when you get a transferred domain? Sometimes the contact info still points to the person that transferred it to you – or sometimes when you move or for any reason if you need to change the contact info we’re going to show you how to do that! It’s very simple!

  • So the first thing that we’ll have to do is we’re going to back to namecheap and we’re gonna log in and obviously click on our domain just like we did last time on the last video.

  • Choose the domain name that you want and you’re going to go ahead and put your contact info on this boxes below:

NOTE – Make sure you fill-out the registrant, tech, admin, and billing

  • If you fill up the top one, you can just go ahead and click and copy the information all the way down or you can just set up a profile – very very simple!

  • Now, I use a PO Box business address for mine. Now if you don’t want to use a PO box or if you use a home address or something, what you might want to do and click on your contact information is currently accessible you can go ahead and use a subscription to actually hide the details okay so if you use the subscription to actually hide the details.

This is IF you have your home address – if you don’t care if you have it out there, that’s fine too just not that people can find it.

  • If you were to go to google and type in and if you were to type ‘com’and hit Go, you’re going to notice that you can actually see the registration info.

  • So it’s gonna have my address, my name, my phone number and everything like that. So if you DO NOTwant any of this to show up, then I would highly recommend that you would use that service that where it is like a WHOis guard and basically they have to go through an avenue and it uses their information but the E-mail forwards to YOU. So that’s a good thing to use if you do want domain privacy.

  • Go ahead and change those contact info. You would want to change on ALL of them. So everything on this page back here should be changed to you.

Building Simple HTML Ebook Desktops

What I’m going to do today is I’m going to answer one of the main questions that I’m asked on my forum at and that is “Marcus, how do you build these cool little software desktops where people could download them and go through them in their own little software package and get all the content that you want?”

For those of you that know me I’ve been doing this for many years, building these little softwares and making it millions of dollars and it works in any niche and in five minutes, I’ll show you how to make these softwares in Microsoft Word!

First and foremost, you’ll notice that on the bottom of my videos, there’s a link that will take you to my website. In the link, I’ll be giving you all the necessary tools that you’ll need in order to make money online!

Once you get the tool you are going to unzip the file and you’re going to see all these files like this it’s going to create a new folder.  I want you to take the main page which is day.HTM and I want you to open that in Microsoft Word and you’re going to get something that looks a little like this:

One thing about making an HTML page is that you’ll need to have links. So how do we do that? You’ll need to right click on the any of the blue underlined text and click on ‘edit hyperlink’

So if I edit this hyperlink you’re going to notice that it goes to one of my sites and it points to one of my pages. We’re going to go ahead and change the location of the file.

Then right after that, you can edit the title of each of the links – pretty simple!

Now, for the images (or icons) that are missing on the page, all you have to do is drag each of the icons from the location folder towards the missing images.

It’s pretty simple and straight-forward!

It’s a pretty simple process. You can definitely place any image that you want on your page AS LONG as that image is within the same folder location!

IMPORANT REMINDER – Make sure that all your links are linking to your SITE and the FILE name that you want!

In the next couple videos what I’m going to do is I’m going to show you how to compress them into special little software files again remember the sky is the limit and you can do whatever you want with this just make sure it links to a file that actually exists on a domain that you own we’re going to get into more of this later for now go over to post your questions and comments and I look forward to working with you!

Adding a New Domain to cPanel Hosting Account

What we’re going to do in this video, for those of you who got a custom niche idea blog setup and domain name with all the bells and whistles, we’re going to show you how to add your domain name to your hosting account.

This is already after you did all the other steps with adding it to namecheap, transferring it over, putting the name servers.

Now we’re ready to add the domain name to our hosting account.

If we were to take something like, let’s say this is our name and we did all the other steps, what we want to do is go to our host gator link. 

On our host gator welcome email, you’re going to notice a billing login. You can either login with the billing login or you can do the control panel. Either way takes you to the control panel.

So i’m just going to go into the billing log in like this.

Then i’m going to go ahead and scroll down to view hosting packages.

Then we’re going to go ahead and log in here. See how that’s the same.

Once we log in, we go ahead and log in like this and we are taken to our control panel.

On our control panel, you’re going to go ahead and see.

You get yourself familiar with the control panel. You got all your offers, your links, your preferences, password stuff.

  • Scroll down to add-on domains

and we’re going to do add-on domains.

  • Go ahead and add on a domain name.
  • We’ll use
  • Then it’ll generate all this stuff.
  • We add our password.
  • Hit add domain.

It’s going to go ahead and add the domain name, right like this. There we go. has been created.

We can go ahead and type it in the box and see what comes up.  It looks like we’re still parked here. So after you change everything around, you’ll be able to see that transfer over. Then you’ll be able to see the host gator welcome page.

On the host gator welcome page, we are going to change it to have WordPress on it.

What we did just now is showed you how to add the domain to your account so that your host knows that domain exist and can create a special folder for it. It’s very important because it needs to know where to send everything.

10 Websites For Making Money Online + Best CPA Affiliate Networks

I’m going to show you the top 10 websites that you need to know about if you want to make money with affiliate marketing! This is a list that I’ve been using for the last 19 years which I’ve been using to make as close as 8 Figures!

  1. AdSense Platform – Google AdSense has a program that you can embed a code on your site. This code will generate ads on your site on what is relevant to what the user searches. It’s really straightforward since you just have to copy and paste the code and place it on your site. If anyone clicks on those ads, you get paid for it!
  2. Clickbank – Clickbank is an online retrailer for digital products. For the past decade, Clickbank was one of the main platforms that was created for people who created digital products like E-books, videos, documents. This is tied this to an affiliate program, so if you’re an affiliate from the clickbank platform, all you have to do is to let people follow the link and you’ll get paid for it!
  3. Offer Vault – It’s not necessarily an affiliate network. But it is an affiliate offer search engine. You can type in whatever niche that you’re looking up, or maybe you have a traffic that wants a specific kind of product. They got it! It’s going to tell you the network that has the offer, the amount you’re paid and what it takes to get paid.
  4. Commission Junction – I have made a lot of money with Commission Junction (sometimes as much as 600$ worth of fonts).I got 200$ worth of commissions from the different products that I sold. This Commission Junction is great for a one-size-fits-all affiliate network! It might be a little tough at first, but once you get a hang of it, it gets easier!
  5. Link Share/ Rakuten – This has the same function has Commission Junction.This is a bit smaller than Commission Junction. You can definitely sell a plethora of different products through the Link Share program!
  6. Amazon Affiliate Program / Big Box – People see the Amazon affiliate program as the be-all-end-all Holy grail of affiliate programs. Well, there are a few reasons for this:
    1. The barrier of entry is low. Everyone knows amazon!
    2. Whatever they add to their cart and they buy it, you will instantly get your commission and all of it.

Pretty simple and easy!

  1. Maxbounty – This is an affiliate network that has downloads, ZIP submits, E-mail submits and all kinds of offers from mortgage leads to anything. They’re on a CPA (Cost Per Action) basis. So instead of going out there to convince people to buy stuff, you can just let people download a form, or even call a number and you get paid for it!
  2. Globalwide – This is a more advanced form of Maxbounty. There are a lot more download offers and a lot more exclusive offers with better pay-outs.

NOTE – What I suggest is that you start with Maxbounty. Get some numbers on your repertoire, and go to Globalwide. They’re exclusive so you’ll have to apply.

  1. com – You can get links for different credit cards.

If you remember on one of my lessons and videos, you’ll remember that I was discussing about a gas prices website. I grabbed a link from for a gas rewards credit card. All they had to do was apply for the card and you’ll definitely make lots of money from that!  

  1. Shareasale – This is a lot like LinkShare and Commission Junction, these three would be the trinity of everything. This is where a merchant would sign up and you’d promote them.

It’s a win-win situation!

10 Blogging Mistakes Most Bloggers Make That Will Kill Your Profits

For those of you don’t know me, I’m Marcus. I’ve been doing this for about 20 years now. I got into blogging in 2006 passively and then I’ve made millions of dollars with blogs since then. Before that, I made money with static HTML website.

I’ve got to tell you, what I learned from the static HTML website days is what makes me able to make money today. Those are the same skills, same everything, even the site designs are very very similar. So what you’re gonna see is these 10 tips that I’m going to show you. These 10 things that people do wrong are from years of experience in getting people to come to the site, getting people to stay on the site, getting people to do the affiliateoffers, buy the products, opt-in to the list.

All of this is based on what I learned in the early part of my career which was all about direct response advertising. DIRECT RESPONSE ADVERTISING is all about being able to directly respond to an ad. You need to get someone to your site that can respond right then and thereThey might not have to buy right away but they will need to opt-in, click a link, do something otherwise they’re going to leave.

Lots of blogs out there, lots of people that are teaching a how to do SEO and get blogs and make money that a majority of these people are getting a lot of traffic and making very little money. A lot of them are making like two dollars per thousand views or something ridiculous like that which if I made $2 per thousand views, I’d be put out on the street so we got to make sure we’re making more than that.

You could see here, this is 16,000 clicks I got to an affiliate offer which generated over $126, 000 for me just since I set up this little blog in 2015. This is just one of my blogs, I’ve gotten many of them and a lot of them make a lot more than that. But I wanted to show you this because it’s one affiliate offer, one blog, very very simple.

The reason this works is because it’s direct. Again it’s focused on direct response. We want people to respond directly to an ad.

So let’s dive right in and talk about those 10 blogging mistakes that are going to kill your profit if you don’t pay attention to them. We got a big fist of money. What’s better than a fist of money?

This is the number one thing that is going to crush you if you don’t do it right!

  1. They don’t focus on one niche per blog when starting out.

The thing that I see a lot of people do when they get into blogging is they don’t focus on one niche per blog and they don’t focus on something attainable.

You got a look at that and you got to say we need to refine something that we can actually do. This is a system that I call majoring in the minors. You want to start with something small that you can get that’ll get you results.

Again, here there’s not a lot of traffic. A lot of people are telling you need lots and lots of traffic to make money.

You don’t need lots and lots of traffic to make money. You need the right traffic to the right offer.

That’s it! You can make money with a couple hundred visitors a month in some markets. You can make money with a couple thousand and others. It just depends on your market and it depends on how creative you are.

So first and foremost, the biggest mistake is they don’t focus on one niche per blog when starting out. They try to be all things to all people. They try to have this blog that talks about everything from their network marketing company to how to go on rollercoasters, to what they fed their kids for breakfast, and it doesn’t make any sense and no one cares because no one’s looking for that.

People search for very selective things and until you build a massive following, they’re not going to come back to your site by their own choice so you got to get them there.

The way you’re gonna get them there is by content, directed at specific things that they can respond to, specific things that they want, specific questions that they ask the search engines. 

How many calories do I need to lose 10 pounds?

How many calories does it take to gain weight?

How many sit-ups do I need to do for this?

How do I do this on my blog?

How do I put a support ticket system on my blog?

How do I integrate my blog with cut funnels?

These are all different types of search terms that you can get in and you could start to nail and chip away at and get a few visitors, get some sales, do another get some more and pretty soon before you know it you’re gonna start to skyrocket your results. You can also drive this with paid traffic but the main thing is so many people are not focusing on one selective targeted niche per blog. If you focus on one niche, that is going to be the difference between success and failure.

  1. They don’t make the purpose of the content to lead people to what makes them money.

Content is just content that leads people to your site. The more content you have doesn’t necessarily mean you’re gonna get more traffic.


I’m gonna take it a step further and instead of using just content or just targeted content, we’re gonna make targeted content with a purpose.

We’re gonna make targeted content that is designed with a specific thing in mind. So if I go out there and I’m like okay, I want to make content and I want to sell web hosting, which by the way this is from selling web hosting, and I’m like, I know the word web hosting is too competitive and I don’t know what to do so I can write some content about web hosting, but instead what I do is let’s find something that I know people will eventually need web hosting. Maybe something like “How do I buy my own domain name for my blog?” or maybe something like “How do I install WordPress? How do I get a WordPress site? How do I make a site for my gym?

Something very simple that we can use or even how to make a secure socket layer thing for your website. If you don’t know how to do this stuff, don’t worry, you don’t need to be in a technical niche but we can go through and I can say, “I’m gonna make content based on this. How do you change a domain name from one WordPress to another? Well here’s how you do it.”

By the way, the best way to do it is clicking here to get web hosting which actually does it for you. So we could do that. You’ll notice how I take them and I’m like the purpose of my content is to get people to do something that makes them money. So the purpose of this, the purpose of me coming on today and showing you the ten major blogging mistakes that’ll kill your profit is to say, hey look, I know about blogging, I’m going to teach you about blogging because if you join my, you’re gonna learn about blog and get my plugins and all these tools, and everything like that.

That’s the purpose of the content.

Same thing with your blog. Every article you write, every video you put up, everything you do on your blog must have a purpose. When you sit down to write content, you’re just not talking to a guy about too many dry sodas will make you have headaches or whatever it is you’re going through.

You’re like, okay I want to write this thing about diet soda so that I can get people into this other product. Does that make sense to everyone? Does everyone get that? If you do, type something in the box. Give us some hearts and some thumbs up. Share this on your timelines and in your groups and everything like that.

But that’s the deal! A lot of people don’t make the purpose so they don’t sit down and say, this is what this content is for and there’s several main ways or main reasons you would create content.

  • Number one, you would want to sell something.

So if I’m making content, I’m like how to get rid of error message. Then I write that and the purpose of that would be to sell whatever program solves that error.  The next way is to provide user experience and to make goodwill in the marketplace. I could provide a video like this. You might buy right away. You might buy tomorrow. You might buy in 10 minutes, who knows?

But what I’m doing is saying, hey look I’m here, I’m sharing this stuff with you and the more I share stuff with you, the more you’re gonna say, hey guys pretty cool, I should probably buy some stuff from him because if it’s free stuff is that good, imagine what the paid stuff’s like.

That’s kind of the idea. That would be under bonding with your market and everything like that.

  • You can also use all these in conjunction like I can take the one I made for bonding and I can sell it in two or I could send it out to my mailing list.
  • The third way to create content is to get people to opt-in.  

You could make content solely for the purpose of getting people to put their name and email into your mailing list so that you can get them into your marketing funnel, send them more stuff, get them more content and get them back to you. That’s because let’s face it, the majority of the people who come to your blog for the first time are not going to come back unless you give them a reason. They’re not just gonna be like, I remember that guy who told me how to put the bolt on my Toyota, I’m gonna go see him again. They’re not gonna do that. They don’t care.  Your market doesn’t care about your site as much as you do until you make them.

No one wants to listen until you tell them why to listen. That’s what our content needs to do.

In addition, we need to focus on it and say we need to make the content so that they either buy something, so that they either like me and click further and check out another video and binge watch something, or maybe get them to opt-in, or join a subscriber list or something like that. We have to have a selective reason for them to be looking at the content.

You have to ask yourself, “Why am I sitting to make this content?”  every single time you make content.

  1. They focus too much on a fancy design.

How many times a week do people come to me and tell me that my websites are ugly? 

They’re like, “Your websites are ugly,” “You know you should probably have some flashy thing, you should have those things sliding in and big images” and everything like that. Then I’m like, well you know I’ve been doing this 20 years, and I know what converts. What converts is a simple design. Far too many designs get complicated.

Notice my designs. These designs are all using themes that you can get in your Marcus mentor members area. You can go to We can give you these themes if I can talk right today and we give you everything to make this work. It’s very simple. The themes look like this.

I have a little header there which leads into the content and then they opt-in. Very simple. We have some other pages where they can learn about us, watch videos and opt-in. We have other pages where they could go through, look at some of the profitable sites I’ve done. Again, the entire idea is to get them to opt-in. Now notice how my designs are designed at getting the reaction I want. What do I want someone to do? Here, I want them to opt-in. Here, I want them to sign up for a product. I lead them into that product. Very simple. Now I also have blog posts which we have various other content on which I’ll show you here.

They’re also gonna see the ads and everything but the eyes focus where we want them to go. So when you see people touting, hey you got to have a fancy design or this fancy theme or whatever, that’s not true. You need to have something that leads the customer to what is going to make you money. If you don’t, it’s very simple you’re not going to make money!

You got to do that. You got to focus on that. You got to make it work. So number three is they focus too much on a fancy design.

Guys you can use some of the themes that we give away for free. There’s a theme out there called simple blog theme that you get at You literally change two images. You have a custom theme and these are themes that convert. These are ones that are bare-bones that are fast and they convert. They get visitors back to you which is cool.

  1. Forget that it’s all about answering the question of why your visitor is there in the first place.

Why did the visitor come to your site?

This is the biggest question that you always need to ask yourself.

Did they come to your site looking for entertainment?

Did they come to your site looking for an answer to a question?

Did they come to your site looking for something to download?

Did they look for a calculator, a report?

What are they looking for?

Now with the reason they came there, you need to have it up front. Within three seconds, they need to be able to find it or they’re not going to stay there.

A lot of people forget about this and the bounce rates of the majority of large blogs are making pennies compared to what they could make because they’re not focusing on this. They’re not looking at it and saying why would the person be there? What is it they want? What can I take them from and get them to based on what they want? How can I flip the market? How can I take someone that’s looking for an excel mortgage calculator and flip them into like a refinance lead so I get $100? How can I do that?

Well you got to do that in a very specific way and you got to focus on why they’re there. Why are they there? What they’re there for the excel? Why in the world would anyone want an excel file that’s gonna help them calculate their mortgage? Probably cuz they’re gonna refi. So if you frame it, in the terms of hey use this calculator but also get this refi so you could plug in the new rate that you get and see how much you can save.

You gotta get them in there. You gotta remember why they’re there. You’ve got to give them the answer to what they’re looking for. You can give it to them in a roundabout way. You could say, hey join my mailing list and I’ll give you the full answer or you could say download this thing and get the full answer or whatever it is to get them in there but you cannot forget that it’s all about answering the question of why your visitors are there in the first place.

Did they come from a Facebook video?

If I get people that are on a Facebook video or a Facebook ad and they come to my site, why are they there?

What did they click on?

If a guy clicks on an image that says learn to make $100 a day or a guy clicks on an image that says get free blog plugins, if I send them to the same blog post, it’s gonna confuse them. They’ll be like, oh wait a minute which one do I want?

So we got to send them exactly where they need to go and we got to structure it and focus the right way. Very very important.

  1. Waffle when it comes time to sell.

The fifth biggest issue we see when it comes to blogging and people who blog and make mistakes and make no money is they waffle when it comes time to sell.

A lot of people hate sales. Type in the box, do you hate sales? Like a lot of people think sales is bad and they picture like this slimy car salesman guy who’s like gonna slap you in the face and make you buy something you don’t want. But that’s not actually what sales is at all. That’s a bad segment. That’s like a bad apple in the sales industry but actually sales IS the ability to help people. My job as a salesman is to help you. If I’m a realtor I want to help you find the house that you want or I want to help you sell your house for the best price. If I’m selling cars, I want to get you something that if you want something for your family to be safe, I want to give you the best one. Not just the one that gets me the best commission but the best one for you. Your job as an affiliate marketer and a blogger is to give the right tips to people and selling will come naturally.

When you share and you help people, selling comes naturally. It’s very simple. If I give someone a good meal and afterward they’re like, wow you know what’s the recipe for that, I just sold them without selling them. Why? It’s because I gave them the good meal. I gave them the information first and I said here is what this is about and you could do the same thing with selling.

Now kevin says, luck in sales is described at a collision between opportunity and preparedness. It’s very much like the opportunity is everywhere because people are searching for things and there’s so many people who don’t understand that you can circumvent. You can get involved where other people aren’t at. There’s people out there that are promoting programs that everyone’s promoting the same way and it seems competitive but there’s also subtle backdoors to it. There’s subtle backdoors like if you want to go into the refinance market, I don’t go for the word refinance. I’m not gonna make my blog about refinance but I can make my blog about FHA Refinance limits, FHA Refinance credit score requirements. Those words are completely uncompetitive and it’s easier to sell.

Very simple and so many people waffle it and they sell from their heels. I think it really stems from they don’t believe in what they’re selling or they don’t have confidence in their information. It’s time to have confidence in your information and have confidence in what you’re selling and say, hey look you know what I can help these people save money. I can help these people live a better life. I can help these people make more or feel better or exercise better. If you have that and you’re not selling it, that’s a disservice to all the people who want that, or you’re doing a disservice by not pushing it hard.

  1. Swim against stream rather than naturally letting the profits in.

Did you know that most people are so focused on making money that they forget the actual way to make money is very simple?

All you got to do is make your blog natural.

Make it natural. If you’re having a lottery tool bar, put a drop-down box. Hey you want to find the latest lottery numbers? Choose the date of your lottery ticket. You want a mortgage quote? Put your zip code in the box. You want to search for tattoos? Search in this box.

Do something that’s natural for the visitor that makes sense.  Like when I go to Google and I was like okay I’m gonna go to Google tomorrow and tomorrow there was like banner ads up here and then there was like a drop-down box that was like do you want to search the web, do you want to search YouTube, do you want to search this. Then over here there was like a big slider image thing that has the top news, I probably wouldn’t search Google. I’d be like wow this is way confusing. I’m not interested in this. This doesn’t matter. But because Google has just a search box, that’s why they’re the biggest search engine in the world, it’s because they just have a search box, that’s it! It’s simple.

One of the most successful websites on the Internet is this simple. I hope that sinks in.

If this sinks in, give me some thumbs up and some hearts and say, yeah I get it I’ve been making this way too Complicated. If I want people to like search for mortgage, maybe I could put a search box on my site that says put your zip code here You could literally guide people to what you want them to do if you focus the right way. So they’re swimming against stream like Yahoo right now.

A lot of people are swimming against the grain and they’re like I want to just make this site, have all the things on it in case they want everything. They don’t want everything. They want what they looked for and they tell you.  Internet marketing is so simple because they tell you what they want.  I’ve actually done campaigns where we ask people stuff. Then we make that a sales letter with the questions and answers and they buy it.

It’s not that hard to do but so many people forget about it because they think blogging is this like creative art form.  I mean maybe writing is an art form but really it’s about communicating.

  1. Ask people to join their newsletter.

This might sound counterintuitive but here’s the deal. Again, remember what I talked about with streaming upstream. No one cares about your newsletter.  You got to give them a reason to join your newsletter or your mailing list.

Far too often, you see that little box on the blog header and it says join my mailing, let’s subscribe here but it doesn’t tell them why should I join your Facebook group. You should join my Facebook group because we have videos and we give you value, cool downloads and stuff like that. What if you put something like, download a free affiliate marketing toolbar, put your name and email in the box or maybe something like how to become a super affiliate, check out all these sites that made me money.

These are the things that are going to get people on your newsletter. It’s got to be juicy. It’s got to be good. It’s got to be something they want and guess what it’s got to be based on why they’re there in the first place. So adding a thing that says, join my newsletter is not going to cut it you got to have something. You got to have a reason.

What are you gonna give them? Why should they join your newsletter? Why should they be watching this? Why should they be following you?

The seventh biggest mistake that bloggers make is they just ask people to join their newsletter and they don’t tell them why or for what reason or anything. It’s just like join my newsletter because I know I’m supposed to have a newsletter and that’s pretty much it.

  1. Neglect stats.

I got to tell you one of the most important things as a blogger is the stats that you get. I pay a lot of money for some of my stats. You can get some of my stats for free but a lot of the stats I pay a lot of money for because of fact that the devil is in the details.

If I find out there’s a blog post that’s getting a lot of traffic and I found out that traffic comes from a keyword that I inadvertently got and it’s driving traffic then what I want to do, is I want to revamp that content, for something to sell for the keyword that they are coming in from, not the one I originally went for. Or if I have a blog post that’s doing okay and I notice that it’s ranking on the search engine but a lot of people are coming from top ten ways instead of top ways then I put the number 10 in there and boom I skyrocket to the top. I get a lot more traffic.

These are the kind of things that we teach you over at We even have some stats plugins that you can use as part of your subscription and everything like that which is really cool but don’t neglect your stats. Watch what people do. I have a live tracker on my site and I always watch it.

The cool thing about the tracker is you can see where they come from.  I could see like this guy here came from Google. This guy here came from MSN. This guy’s comes from YouTube. So you could see all kinds of things that’s going on, on your site and knowing that is what’s gonna separate the people who make the money from the people who don’t make the money. It’s very important that you focus on it because if you don’t, you’re just gonna be like wasting money.

I started making like a thousand dollars a day on it and I didn’t really change all that much. I didn’t get any new traffic. I just looked at the stats and changed something.

  1. Not focusing on one traffic source for each piece of content.

Far too many people try to do too many things.

They say I’m gonna make this video and it’s gonna be for my subscribers. It’s gonna be for YouTube. I’m gonna put it on Facebook. I’m gonna put it everywhere and I hope it ranks in the search engines and I hope that the nightly news picks it up and puts me on the news. If your aim is to get on the nightly news, you need to film something that would be on the nightly news. If your aim is to rank on YouTube, you need to make something that’s going to rank on YouTube. If your aim is to get search engine traffic from Google or Yahoo or MSN you need to make your content for that purpose.

I actually take this a step further and I make a blog for each purpose and I’m like okay this blog is designed to get search engine traffic, that’s what I want to do, that’s all I’m gonna do on that one. This one is for my social media and all the social media people go there. This one is for my YouTube and I segment it.

Refine, focus, go for what you know you can get. Major in the minors first and you’re gonna grow and grow and grow as you build. Go for a keyword.

This is how I’ve taken YouTube channels same thing major in the minors. Don’t go out there if you want to do funny videos. You don’t try to rank for the word funny video right? You go for something simple like horse ticks apple off of a tree and guy laughs or whatever. Go for something you know you can get go for something specific.  It’ll work. Trust me.

It doesn’t even take that long if you focus. You can get traffic today for free. You could get traffic today by paying for it. Traffic is not the hard part of internet marketing. The hard part is learning to convert the traffic.  You could get traffic all day. There’s traffic out there. You could buy it all day long and if you know how to convert it, that’s the game. That’s your struggle.

You want traffic, I’ll sell it to you all day long. You go buy it all day long It’s everywhere. People don’t know how to make money. There’s youtubers that are like making videos and they don’t make anything. There’s bloggers that are starving and they get tons of traffic. They get times the traffic I get and they’re not making anything. Why? Because they don’t know the secret of conversion.

If you know the secret of conversion you can go buy their traffic for pennies on the dollar. You can make a bunch of money that’s the key that’s what you got to focus on.

  1. They settle for low numbers.

This is a big one so many bloggers settle for low numbers. They try to get new traffic and they don’t get that much and I’m sitting here and I’m like you’re only making few bucks because you’re not focusing on the traffic. The average person makes so little on their traffic.  Why? Because they’re not focusing on these 10 things and if you focus on these 10 things, you can start turning things around, start getting a lot of traffic, and start making a lot more money!

DIY Sales Funnel and Landing Pages with WordPress Full Tutorial EASY!

Hello and welcome to today’s special Wednesday morning live training!

Today we’re gonna be doing a live demonstration!

I want to kind of preface this because these live demonstrations are actually extremely difficult to do. A lot of stuff going on. Got to make sure we got you know codes hidden and things like that. They’re very difficult to do so bear with me. We’re gonna try to do our best.

We’re gonna show you exactly how everything works and we’re gonna try to set up a landing page and an affiliate marketing funnel in WordPress in about an hour.

We’re gonna show you everything we use. I’m gonna show you the tools, the software, the tutorials, the things and everything like that. You’re gonna get the whole deal, the real deal, step-by-step. So let’s dive right in. Let’s cut past off junk. Let’s get to what this really is about.

This is about creating a funnel.

What is a funnel? What does a funnel look like? How do we deal with funnels? Well the idea of a marketing funnel is to capture visitors and get them where you want them to go. Because what are we? If we’re affiliate marketers, basically what we are is traffic directors.

Our job is to direct traffic to various different place. We’re gonna go through here and I’ll open up my little sketch pad thing here. You guys can see what I’m talking about so you

could see it mapped out before we actually build it and then we’re gonna go in and we’re gonna build it with WordPress.

So here’s the idea. This is our little sketcher program. Our DIA here is to take our traffic. They come from whatever like let’s say you get them from Google, Facebook keywords, YouTube, whatever you get your traffic. This is your traffic. Now your traffic is going to come in and your traffic needs to go somewhere.

In the olden days they used to preach a thing called direct linking where you would just take your traffic and you’d link them directly to the affiliate offer.

If you were like doing a Clickbank offer, you just pop this bad boy into your traffic place and you’d send them directly to the offer. Pretty basic. Now the downside of doing that is you can’t presell people. I am solely relying on that site to convert and at the end of the day if they convert 1 percent, even if I make money, 99 out of every hundred clicks is being wasted which sucks. That’s why we don’t like to do direct linking.


There’s another method. The second method is what’s called a landing page.

A landing page is where you go through and you make a little site. So you got your page here and you’re like, okay I’m gonna make a site. The direct point of the site is ultimately to get people to that link. So it’s like direct linking but we’re like kind of preselling them. So I’d be like, “Hey man you know you want to lose weight, check this offer out! it’s really good I tested it out. I lost 5 pounds.” Obviously make it true and everything like that but you’re kind of preselling the offer.

The idea again is to take my traffic, go to landing page, then let’s hope they buy. There’s some waste there. You’re gonna waste some traffic and some people are not going to be interested. You got to deal with that.

So third option is what’s called a funnel.

You can have a simple funnel. We’re gonna keep our affiliate link over here. You can have a simple funnel. A simple funnel would be maybe I have a video here or something like that or an image. So we’d have our video and would be like, great I’m gonna teach you how to lose weight. Then we’ll go in and we’re like well you watch the video. Now I want you to put your name and I want you to put your email in the box.

This gets people into your stuff. This allows you to email them which is good because I could be like, hey man I noticed you filled out the form to get my free report on how to lose weight and you didn’t order the thing yet I was just checking why. Maybe you should go order the thing. Here’s the link.

You could also send them a tip. Tip number one, drink lots of water. Tip number two, you know play basketball. Tip number three, don’t sit on the couch eating chips. Watch TV on a treadmill. Obviously I’m making this up this is not to be used or taken seriously but that the idea is we’re gonna give them some tips.

On the webinar we’re gonna show you how to do all this. Now your funnel is designed to get these people. They come in. They go to your browser or your site. They put their name and email. That takes them to a database. I can take all the people who are on the database and I could email them. I can make money as I email them which is great. That’s good! That’s like how to make lots of money if you want to do that.

What we do after they put their name and email in is we could then take them to what’s called a thank-you page.

Then we’re like, hey check it out! Thank you so much for requesting your special guide on how to do webinars while having a cold.

Now, I want you to click the link and order the product. You just go straight for the order on the Thank You page.

You can have an elaborate funnel or a simple funnel. It would be like just collecting name and email. An elaborate funnel might be pay, put your name, put your email and then order something. Maybe you have like a book funnel or maybe you have a sales funnel. You’re getting people throughout the loop.

Does everyone get the benefit of having a funnel? Does everyone get that like you direct link, you’re kind of hoping that you know it works? You have a landing page. It’s a little bit better. You can pre-sell them, see what they click on. That’s good! Or you could build a funnel, capture people, make lots of money.

So now that that is described, let’s dive right in and let’s talk about how to build these. What I did before we started is I set up a brand new WordPress. This took me about 30 seconds to set up, bought the domain, blinked it to the host, push the button. WordPress is there and here we are. I have a new WordPress site coming soon. I can log in. If you don’t know how to get to this step, go to It has the directions. It teaches you how to do this and boom there you go!

Now that’ll teach you how to get to this page. Once you’re on this page, you just go ahead and log in. So we’re gonna log in, easy, simple.

So first of all, we go here. Just go to your site and it’ll have the admin login. We’re gonna go in here and we’re going to click. Now you’re gonna see how the funnel stuff that I have is way better than anything else out there when it comes to WordPress. Why? It’s because it’s designed for the marketer in mind that wants to get conversions.

If you want to get conversions like if you want to go out there and not make money and have no one, opt-in and just have a blog. Lots of people have blogs and they make no money but if you actually want to make money and do this, I would highly recommend you use the plugins we show you.

Here’s what we’re gonna do. We’re gonna go in here. We’re gonna click login. Once we go to login, we’re gonna have this page. This is our basic WordPress member page admin site. This is where you go.

First thing we got to do is click launch. That’s gonna take our page and instead of showing this ugly welcome site, we’re gonna go like this. A lot of people go through and they’re like, Marcus I don’t want to make my site live yet. They don’t make it live which is kind of a pain in the butt because it’s like,

So first and foremost, regardless of what you think because a lot of people are like I don’t want to make my site live because whatever reason make the thing live, seriously just make it live. No one’s gonna care. No one gives a rip unless you’re doing something that’s not good. What that’s gonna do is it’s gonna give us this, like cactus picture pretty simple. So there we go. We got our cactus that means our site is live. This is what it looks like. It doesn’t look like a funnel. It doesn’t look like anything. It just looks like a welcome to my blog.

Next, we are going to go to our settings. We’re gonna go to general. Under general settings, we’re gonna type in our site title if it’s not already in there and we’re gonna put our tagline. Tagline would be like how to lose or how to get six-pack abs or something like that. Everything else looks good. Automatically makes it secure which is good. Hit save changes.

Next, we’re gonna do writing. Underwriting everything looks okay. Then we’re gonna go to reading. This is very very very important. Our home page displays by default. It says your latest post, we want static. We’re gonna choose sample page because that’s the only page on a brand new blog. We’re gonna hit save. This is crucial. This is what makes the funnel thing work.

Now we’re gonna go to discussion.  We’re gonna go to permalinks. Under permalinks we want not day in name. We want post name. This is what we want right here. Hit save changes. We went post name. It’s gonna take this from posts to the sample page. When it loads, it’ll be a tada! There we go! A sample page. Put our little tagline. Everyone on the up-and-up type. If you’re on the up-and-up, this stuff’s basic, don’t over complicate it. Don’t go do stuff that I don’t tell you to do. Don’t type weird languages in the thing here or we’ll have to meet you. Because we don’t understand that so try to keep it English.

So sample page there we go. This is our basic structure so those are the first things you want to do.

Next we’re gonna go through plugins.

In the new WordPress they have this Guttenberg plugin. I’m not a fan of it yet might be later. I’m actually going to a seminar about that just because I was curious and I need to get out of the house but we’re gonna deactivate Guttenberg. We’ll just keep it deactivated. We need our site to look good.

Now what we got to do is we got to make it party. We got to have a pretty looking blog. You can’t have a stupid looking one. Now mine are stupid looking but they’re also very very basic and easy okay so we’re gonna go through here. We’re gonna take a look at this and we are going to make a theme. I took the liberty of downloading all the stuff that you’re gonna want to download when you do this stuff. All of these are included in today’s offer and they’re also included in our mentor program or simple sites program.

These are all the plugins and themes and tools and wonderful things. If you want to get them, cheapest way to get them is go to MarcusMentor.Me. There’s these plugins and like a bunch more. There’s these themes and a bunch more but an effort to not confuse myself, I just put the four that we need in here. So check this out! 

We’re gonna go to webinar theme. We’re gonna extract it. As a rule of thumb, do not ever extract plugins. Don’t need to the plugins. These plugins up here we’re gonna leave them zipped because that’s how you upload them. We’re only extracting the theme because we want to change stuff.

How many of you guys are like, “Holy crap that’s a lot of files! I’m confused. I give up. I don’t want to be an internet marketer anymore. Marcus this is too difficult. What’s an archive and if you open these it gets even worse!” Good thing we don’t have to know what this means.

All you need to know is to go to images and you just need to look because I made this for you to make it easy. I want you guys to look at this and if you wanted to change the logo on your theme, what do you think you would do? What do you think you’d do if you wanted to change the logo on your theme? Look at your screen. We’re gonna see if anyone gets this very difficult question right you’d probably go to logo here and change the file. Pretty easy right? So we’re doing a belly fat site. I could just go here. I could open this. We’ll open it in Snagit editor. The Snagit program actually comes with our landing page program.

You can get a list of all of these at and that should work. The laughing software is actually extremely easy to use. In this program I use it to create special pages or special logos. I’m gonna put the direct link in the box. If you wonder how I can make these so fast and so cool it’s because of my plugins. Let’s just check it for WordPress funnel cool it.

See how easy that is! My stuff rocks. My plugins are great. That’s my plug on the plugins. We’re gonna make a little logo. We’re gonna make like a belly fat thing. We could choose any of them. I bought all of them which you should buy all of them but get them through my link because you get bonuses over at

We’ll go through and this actually is really good for YouTube thumbnails as well. This is what I make all mine in so we could go through here and we’ll just do like logo templates. We’ll make a logo so belly fat, let’s see here. We’ll go here find something that looks cool. Let’s use this. We’re gonna go here Super T, we will get to that in a minute. Now this logo has nothing to do with belly fat.

We’re gonna go to I think we should be able to just copy this and let’s see. Let’s actually download it just so we get the better resolution. We’re gonna download this guy, save picture as and we’ll save it and their pictures and belly boom! There we go.

All we have to do is go to our laughing logo thing and we could do file import and we’ll get him. I’m gonna do it the easy way. The easy way is to use Snagit capture. This little capture box will come up like this and we’ll just go. We’re gonna copy this dude and we’re gonna put him over here in the laughing bird. Then we’re gonna do something like Lose stubborn belly fat, excellent. He’s got his popcorn. He is ready to lose his fat and let’s make a little bit bigger. There we go!

You can make it fancy. I don’t spend a whole lot of time on my logos because it doesn’t matter. This is what I made my logos in so like landing page dude affiliate marketing dude video hacks. All my logos were made in this and guys it’s a thirty dollar software. So go to, get this software, buy all of his stuff. Just trust me. I’m trying to get him to make one link for all this stuff but I’m still waiting on it so we can go through and we could make an outline if we want to. When you’re done, watch how easy this is.

We go back to our Snagit. Capture to do, capture. Here’s our logo.

How many of you guys are like, “Dude are you kidding me? Did you just make a logo that looks pretty cool in like four seconds?” But you guys get the idea right? If you like that type, you could do a lot fancier than that.

Now all we got to do is go to our logo here. Size it up. You could make it a little bit bigger if you want. Let’s see whose stubborn belly fat. I’m gonna do something a little bit different here because the sizing on this is a little weird. I’m gonna use these shapes. I’m just gonna make a white shape. Get rid of the outline. Go get rid of the shadow. We’re gonna make another one. We’re gonna take our dude. Put her dude in here. Shrink him down and there he is! Again you can take your time on these. You can make him as good as you want or as lame as you want. Totally up to you! It doesn’t matter to me but make it bleed into your message. Everything’s got a lead in your message so there we go!

There’s our logo. File save. What that’s gonna do is it’s gonna save the logo over top of the old logo one. There you go!

Now background. We want a cool background. We don’t want something like if you upload the theme as is it’ll just say logo and background so you got to change this stuff.

We’re gonna do a background. We can go back to clipart or to go clipart. Let’s do beach people that like to lose weight. Let’s go here and we’ll do the beach. Let’s see how big this one is. You want something really big so that it fits. The way that I made this theme for you is it keeps everything static while the page moves. You guys will see once we upload it.

So we’re gonna go like this. It’s gonna load. Hopefully we’ll get rid of the dude. I think the dude will go away because it’s kind of big so we’re just gonna save this and I’m just gonna save it where I have my theme. Theme images and then we’re gonna change it over top. Let’s see where’d it go. So we’re gonna do page that jpg and that should save it over it. Let’s see if it does.

Now in our file we should have the two images, page and object. Let’s go ahead and open this and snag it and just give it a little trim because we don’t really want the dude here. So let’s do this file save and that should work. If it looks funny, we’ll just go back and change it.

Once you’re done changing the two images, how many of you guys are like dude two images? I can change two images. If you can change two images, type two images in the box. If you don’t think you can do it then don’t. Yes the replay will be up. I think they’re pretty much instant as soon as we’re done.

When you’re done, you’re gonna take all this. You’re gonna highlight it and we are going to right-click on this and we’re gonna hit send to zip.

So we’re gonna go appearance themes and this is themes that I include. There’s tons of them right from stuff like social media themes to themes like for opt-ins to themes for one-page sales page. Everything is ready for you!

So we got a logo. We got a theme. Spend as much time on this as you want. So here’s the first part of your funnel. Now again all these themes are in my stuff so you could get that!

I just didn’t have time to get the new version but it’s pretty much the same thing. So yours is gonna be called click voodoo. We’re gonna go here and we’re gonna go like this and click install now. It’s going to give you something to track your links. So we’re gonna install it and it’s gonna pop up here. Again yours will be called click voodoo and it’ll be a lot fancier than this because we upgraded it but that’s what it’s gonna look like.

This allows you to track your legs. This is the one that I will use to make this link right. If you guys were wondering how I fix that link so quick and made everything work, this is what I do. Let’s just call it CB fat loss, Clickbank fat loss. That’s just for me. That’s what I remember.

Next we’re gonna get our link. We put our big ugly Clickbank link in there or Beck’s bounty link or whatever. They’re always ugly so what we do is we pop it right in here. Shortened URL. There you go!

Now watch what happens! It goes to the offer. Really easy! You use this for everything like I could put tons of links in there and it has a tracker so I could see that I clicked it. I got a click. Wonderful!

So that’s the affiliate marketing dude tracker plug. It’s super easy to use. I designed these. I spent a fortune building these for you. Use them! They’re great! They work. That’s the first plug-in you want to have so that you can do that.

Now all I need to do is remember my domain/belly. That’s it but isn’t it easy to go to instead.

Now you can have as many as you want. It’ll track them. It’ll make it easy. You can use them in your emails. You can use them everywhere. I use this all the time. I’ve owned plugins. I actually built my plugins for me but I’m very kind and I give them to people who pay me to be part of my courses. So that’s the first one. Affiliate marketing dude tracker.

The funnel voodoo is what makes the funnel process on WordPress work. So we’re gonna go to funnel voodoo and check it out. By the way, I paid a guy on Fiverr to make this and I actually splice them together in the programs.

Here it is, funnel voodoo. Welcome! You’re gonna notice on your funnel voodoo plugin which I should charge a lot more for this but right now I’m not. You get eight different opt-in pages. What’s an opt-in page? You get eight affiliate pages you get eight ad pages for Adsense or whatever. There are their ads. You get eight Thank You pages. Eight sales pages. Why are those there? We’ll show you in just a minute.

Here’s what we’re gonna do. We want to take this. We got our page. It looks good. It’s got our popcorn eating dude. He’s ready to go to the movies and lose weight from our site. We got our sample page. We got all this stuff over here. How do we turn this into a funnel? We go to the funnel voodoo.

We click on opt-in. We click on enable. We ignore the title because it doesn’t really matter. We click on pages. We want it on the pages then we put some content. We say, get my belly fat busting guide here. We Center it. We make it big. We make it big and we make it red because red stands out. Then we’re gonna go through and we could put some arrows or something.

There we go! Let’s edit this. Open with snag it. I want these smaller file save.

The title doesn’t matter. That’s just for you so if you want to know what it is, it’ll just keep for you. You’ll be like, Hey this is the opt-in for the Guru class or this is the opt-in for whatever. It’s just for you. I bet you could put whatever you want in there. Now we’re gonna hit insert. Now we got our title Get my belly fat busting guide. This is like using Microsoft Word.

Now we’re gonna do Aweber. If you’re not using Aweber, just click this tab and put your code in here. Go to text. Put your code in here. If you’re using Aweber, watch how easy this is. Put your list name. Put your thank you URL. Your Thank You URL is going to be a post on your site. We’ll go dashboard. We’re gonna go to a post. Did you do open a new tab? We’ll go to the post and we’re just gonna view it and we’re going to copy this link. This is our post. We’re gonna put this in here. Now we choose three bullet points. These are bullets that you are going to give them so they’re gonna get your belly fat busting guide. That means you’re gonna learn the secrets to stubborn belly fat and you’re gonna discover the seven foods not to eat plus I’m gonna give you get my free weight loss calculator.

We’re gonna choose the white theme because we have a layout that has a white column over here. That’s it! Save. Then we just go to our parents. We go to our widgets. In your widgets section, you only have to do this one time to take all these out. Take them all out and all we want in there is funnel.

Now they go to your Thank You page. So there’s a basic funnel.

We’re ready to go theme. I could make a little bit longer because this little edge is bugging me. That’s all I got to do.

Make it like probably three pixels longer. Now what we want to do is want to make our page. We got to make content here because obviously no one’s gonna opt in if it’s like, “Hey this is an example page and bla bla bla.”  There we go!

What we’re gonna do is we’re gonna click edit now. Editing a page is really really easy. We change the name of it and we’ll be like how to lose belly fat. We could put our content in here. I’m a big fan of video based opt-in pages. They work great but you can also use image and content based pages as well. So if I was going to use content based pages, I’d be like, “Learn the seven foods not to eat so you can lose stubborn belly fat!”

If I was going to do this, what I would do is I would make a PDF or I’d make a guide and I would take a picture of the guide. Let me see if I can find a PDF real quick. I would just take one of my PDF. So let’s say we’re just gonna use this as an example, but we’re gonna say we use my PDF that you get. The PDF that you get of the book I was just talking about. What I would do is let’s pretend this was about belly fat. I would just take a picture of this and snag it right like this. Then I would take and use this. I would make something like this. I’m gonna make it more square because that’s how the site looks. Let’s make this white. Then I would put our guy here.

I don’t think everyone is saying I’m a scam. Does everyone on this webinar saying that, right I don’t think so, there’s about nine people that got my product and didn’t like it for whatever reason that happens. We’ve sold our product to 18, 000 people and some people are gonna be irritated. I mean this just isn’t for everyone. So let’s put this guy here and we’ll go like this. By the way, if you guys wonder how my training is like, do you like my free stuff because if you come on my webinars, guarantee it so there you go!

Let’s go here and we’ll just kind of mock this up for a PDF for this. Go in here like this and we will do lose stubborn belly fat fast. It will put some little teaser. Copy here. So there we go and we could just do like this. Then we could take and make like a shape. I think there’s an arrow here or something like that. This is basically what I’m doing on the affiliate marketing dude opt-in page which is cool. We’ll do that and then what we can do is we could go like this and it’ll put a text here then we could just kind of outline the stuff they’re gonna get. So be like, get free diet plans, what not to eat guide and something else. Go like that. Just kind of tidy it up. I’m gonna make these black because I don’t want them to stand out above this. I’m gonna make a big huge image here and I’m gonna put free download.

People love free downloads. I’m gonna put this list in a PDF because everyone loves downloads. I don’t know why, like you could download the same thing that you could watch but people just love it. Let’s make it green. Maybe green to work. Let’s say free download. Go like this. Make a little shape and let’s see you should be able to do this and you’re gonna get this software when you get the landing page dude course so which is awesome!

I’m really picky about how this stuff looks because it will affect your opt-in rate. This is just a sample but that’s kind of the idea right and then we’ll just do like file save and we’ll save it as a fat book. You know what, just do pictures, save it as pictures and then we could just put this in our content here. We’re gonna show you one other cool thing to use as well.

So we’ll do this add media and we’ll just upload, select and this is super easy if you guys just do what I’m doing. It’s not that hard to do. We’ll show you how to do this as well.

So there you go! Insert into page and up. Always do full size because it’s better if you do full size and then shrink it here, otherwise you’re kind of stuck. So we’ll do like that should work and watch what happens.

Now, it’s like hey check it out! You’re gonna get this book. You see how it’s like where do your eyes go? Getting their eyes to the opt-in is like the biggest key. So I’m just gonna make this a bit wider. Update and there you go! You can make simple landing pages in literally seconds! It’s really easy! It’s taking a little bit longer because I’m on a webinar here but you guys get the ideas. Everyone gets the idea of how this works. Then when you do your opt-in page and your everything like this. So you’d have your page. Now what I do is I usually have like four or five pages across the top.

So I do like how to lose belly fat. I’d do another page which is like foods. Publish. We’ll do another one and again when you look at your keywords you want to kind of go through and be like okay these are the keywords. These are the pages. Like keywords and pages should be the same. Now when you set this up, this way, this is the difference between a lot of other funnel builders and my stuff.

A lot of other funnel builders are great for just funnel building so if you’re gonna just build a funnel and you’re like,” I want five-page funnel, I want them to order and then done! That’s what I want.”, go use it!

For sales and everything like that, those are gonna be the best bet. Now I have custom things that work and the reason I use them is because we use them with WordPress. So when I use them with WordPress, all of my content is always automatically repurposed. If I make a little blog post and I send it to my mailing list, boom Google is gonna pick it up too and it’s gonna get ranked. There’s gonna be traffic coming in. I actually found this out because I am kind of not smart when it comes to duplicating things but I found this out about three to five years ago and I was like, man I’m making all this content for my mailing list and I send it out to them and it’s great but once I’m done, it’s done. My content life span was like that. My content lives on forever. People are coming in. People are buying. People are ordering. People are clicking things. People are ordering affiliate products all day every day. There’s people like right now there are hundreds of people on my sites just right now I’m looking at my live chat right now there’s tons of people all over the place.

So if you’re gonna get a high ticket niche, go buy it! Let’s see you on that page. Go buy it. If you’re gonna get the landing page, to get that right, so that’s the deal right now. It’s like this stuff’s living infinitely and like the person said earlier you could change your links, you could put whatever you want, you have control, we’re giving you control and we’re making it easy. Did anything that I did today go above your level? Did you get it conceptually?

We’re not talking about codes. We’re not talking about fancy market or speak. We’re not talking about all the junk that’s out there. We’re talking about stuff that’s designed by someone who’s simple. You just get the simple stuff and you just go through and you click.

So now when you’re doing this, you make your other pages. Your pages are gonna be across the top. You can see now we have foods that make you fat. I would have some content. They’re easy. Make another one.

Now on your thank-you post, this is the page they come to when you say thank you. Now we edited the way that the sidebar works since funnel Voodoo’s taking over and these should go away. In funnel Vodoo, all I have to do is like put my banner ad or whatever it is I want.

If I go through, let me see if I can find one real quick. I think I got the wrong size but I’ll find one for you. So if I get a code, I’m gonna show you the codes. These are my affiliate codes. So I went into the affiliate programs. I got the code. This is the code. So when you go into Clickbank, when you go to wherever you get your code, this is what it looks like. So if I have like a banner code, this is for the keto banner ad.

If I wanted to put a banner ad, watch what happens. This is where the magic really happens with this plugin. Let’s just say it was over six figures. So what we do now is we go in and we’re like, well I want something on the thank you page. I’m gonna choose my Thank You page and then all I do is I put my code. So I’ll put my banner in here. There’s my code straight from the affiliate offer. Ain’t choose posts. If I only want it on this post, I just hover over here. I look at the post number. Post dashboard likes to be slow today. Post all post and to edit. We put post in there. Got our banner in there. If you want to do a title just be like banner max bounty. Enable and again you get eight different ones of these. It’ll show the banner there. So let’s see if it actually did that. You can Center it and do whatever you want.

The cool thing about this is like the banners only on this page. These people still see this stuff. So your content is all behind the scenes which is awesome so if you look at this on affiliate marketing dude, this is what I’m using. This is a WordPress site. A lot of people are like, that’s not WordPress. Well I ought to know. I made it. It’s WordPress. On this page, we have the opt-in down here. This is all controlled by the same plugin that I’m giving you guys as part of the course.

This is another plug-in for landing pages that I showed you guys last week, where you could actually go into like an image. They can go through and boom they click! Then the last slide says, hey put your name and email to get more stuff. You could literally put this on your page. This is called slide voodoo. All you do is you upload your images.

Sign up and you’ll learn how to use this stuff! Literally takes just minutes to make and they work like a charm. I don’t use builder. All I use my own custom stuff and the reason I was showing you this is because you have the pages here but behind the scenes. Watch what happens. If we go to Google like this and we’re like watch all my content, so we have content out there. Every day people come from my ranking for Wix Affiliate. So for Wix Affiliate we have a ranking.

There’s a content. It’s on the same blog like all of his contents on the same blog but I’m able to manipulate and put things where I want them, have ads on there. Here’s another plug-in. Super super easy and all of these get picked up. All of them get me traffic. There’s people right now on tons of different pages and it’s super super simple to use. Then when you build it, out it’s like you go through and you say, okay well I want to write an email. You’re gonna write an email and you’re like I want to write an email about I don’t know something I found to lose weight or whatever.

That’s how you do it! You could go through and add that plug-in. Let’s do plugins. Add new. We’ll do upload. It should get better in a minute. It might be our internet speed but if I lose you go order at Make sure you get that before we end so you can get all that stuff. So we’re gonna go through and I’ll just do a browse do slide voodoo. You can upload that plug-in and go from there as well. So that would be the slide voodoo plug-in which is really easy. So you would just go here and you’d be like okay manage and then you just upload your image. It’s like it’s so easy. It’s not even funny. Submit and then I would just go to, save a picture and add the image.

The cool thing about the slide plug-in also is you can put content below each and everything. So if I go in and I’m like okay like this, okay there we go, I can put content here and say eating and apple day is great but without these exercises it won’t help much. So you could do something like that or you could put studies show that eating an apple a day. Then under these exercises I’m gonna put my affiliate link. I would link this to my affiliate link for that offer. Then we hit submit and boom you have your slide thing ready to go! You would just put that in your page and you can put that there and lead people back. Does that make sense to everyone?

Go to, We’re gonna give you guides on how to do it. You’re gonna get the plugins. You’re gonna get the software. The only software that I’m not getting you is obviously web hosting. You would have to buy the laughing software yourself but we have a link to that as well on this page. So get yourself in landing page dude. It’s a great course. We’ll do a follow-up training as well on this topic so that you guys can see how it works, start to finish but the idea of a funnel is very simple. The idea is to have your pages up front then when they opt-in, they go to a specific page or post. So they’re gonna come in. They’re gonna opt-in. Then on the page we’re gonna have our affiliate offers and then on our thank-you page this is where we would say stuff. Here are some tips on making really killer landing pages that will have your customers persuaded in no time!

  1. Have a natural look– Go native and show others that you have a welcoming and inviting look. This means that you have to catch their attention as soon as they get to your site.
    1. Use dropdowns
    2. Use image advertisements and teasers
    3. Enumerate with checkboxes, quizzes, etc.
  2. Give your Visitors choices– The best way to entice your customers into staying in your page is to give them as much options as possible. Some customers are usually looking for a remedy to their problems, by giving them options AND solutions, you’ll make them more interested!
    1. Giving customers options is one of the best ways to entice them
    2. Have an option grid – this gets more people to click on your offers.
    3. Create customizable sales pages with different options built it.
  3. Use Video Instructions – In most cases, customers and business owners are too busy and are in a hurry, by explaining to your demographic everything in audio and video form, you’re getting their attention pretty quickly.
    1. Be simple and concise with your instructions and information
    2. Hold their hand through the learning process
    3. Show them what’s going to work and what to expect
  4. Replicate Offer Page Layouts – You need to have a page that’s aesthetically pleasing while also removing all the clutter around the page so that the customer can focus on what’s important – which are your offers.
    1. Harmonize colors on your offer page
    2. How do each of the buttons look?
    3. What are you asking the customer to do for you to profit?

Everything’s pretty simple and straightforward!

  1. Use Eye Mapping Tracking – In terms of marketing, you have to know where your visitors are looking at when they come to your site. In this instance, they might be looking at certain areas of your site while some areas are overlooked. You have to keep this in mind when you’re setting up your website since your customers might overlook some offers that you are offering.

There are certain programs and plugins that will help you know what your visitors are clicking on.

  1. Test the famous F pattern when reading
  2. Test your site out by noticing the first 3 things that you see when you open your page
  3. Observe what your visitors are clicking on, learn and improve from this data

  1. Re-affirm why they came to your page in the first place – Know what is the intent of your customers and why they are in your page. Are they trying to find solutions to their problems? Are they trying to buy something? Are they trying look for a service? Re-affirm them that you can definitely deliver on your promise.
    1. Look at the data on how they got to your site
    2. Where were they when they clicked?
    3. What is the current situation that your customers are in?
    4. What is their ultimate goal?
  1. Have a One Track Focus
    1. Have them opt in
    2. Let them click your links
    3. Have them download your toolbar
    4. Let them buy something

How to Think Like an Entrepreneur

So You can See Outside the BS

And Use What Really Works

Sometimes it’s good to just get out of your comfort zone and do something.


I remember the first time I did a webinar. I had never done them before. I once did a tele-seminar. After that, one guy said to me, “Hey dude, just hop on this webinar.” I was all nervous and shaky (which is funny, because I was really just sitting in my office talking to the wall, and there just happened to be people that could see through the wall.)


And in the end, it really wasn’t that big a deal.


And I think that’s what we can learn here. You’re going to learn that being an entrepreneur is not that big a deal. What takes someone from $1,000 a year to $1 million per year, is not that big a deal.


I remember the first time I met a guy who was making a million dollars a year with web marketing. He said, “I’ll call you back later. My wide needs to go to Target.”


I was sitting there amazed. I thought, people making a million dollars a year still go to Target? That was so weird in my mind. I thought, how does that work? Do these people have a different life?


I think in society, we’re programmed to think that successful people have a different life. It’s something big, and different, and crazy, and weird. When in actuality, it’s really not.


There’s no difference between me and you. (Except that I’m probably about a foot shorter than everyone here. And I probably smoke too many pipes. That’s really it.)


You go to work eight hours a day, I go to work eight hours a day. The only difference is what we’re doing, and who we’re doing it for.


I’ll bet some of you guys work harder than me. Some of you guys work manual labor, some of you guys are drivers. And if you’ve ever seen me drive, you don’t want me to be a driver.


But there’s really no difference here. We’re going to go over that, and we’ll talk about what it really takes to be an entrepreneur. How to focus on it, and how to really get into the mindset.


And I’m going to tell you, it’s probably not what you think it’s going to be.


I have a different view on life, and on entrepreneurship, from a lot of my peers in the industry. And I think it comes from my years of experiences.


For one thing, I love to study people. I love to learn about what people do, what makes people tick, and I like to really learn about what it is that makes someone successful. What is it that makes someone sad? What is it that makes someone happy? And different things like that.


We’re going to talk about those things, too.


So, what does it really take to be an entrepreneur? Here are some tips that you must understand in order to master the entrepreneurial mindset.





Tip #1: Everything is made-up preprogramming.


No matter where you’re at, no matter what you’re doing. Even if you’re not in a cult, or you don’t follow mainstream media. You are a product of programming. You’re programmed by your upbringing, by your TV, by social interaction.


We all have the BS that has been programmed in our mind.

It says:


Be a worker.

Work for someone else.

Have the security.


That’s what life’s about. And we’re taught that from the time we’re a kid. We’re taught to really, really value the input of others. Really, really listen to what other people say.


If someone says something that hurts, you, you’re supposed to be hurt. If someone says something that praises you, you’re allowed to feel praised.


The funny thing is, you have those feelings inside you, right?


So, think about that. Ask yourself, “What is my current programming telling me? What is my current mindset telling me?”


Let’s look at this in terms of money. If you’re not getting the results you want, it might be as simple as going and following a few instructions. There may just be a lot more going on in your mind. Why is that?


I remember, I struggled for years. I used to always tell myself, “Why don’t I know what I should do? I know I could get to two, three million dollars a year. I know I could break this barrier. Why is it that I’m not doing what I know I need to do? It’s not like it’s that hard. It’s not like it’s strenuous. It’s not like I can’t afford it.”

In the end, it didn’t even take that much money. I started this business with a hundred dollars.


You might be asking yourself, “Why am I not doing that? Why am I not doing what I know I need to do?”


How many of you feel that way? You now you could go out there and do it, but for some reason, you just can’t get yourself to do it. You might not believe it’s actually going to work.


Or you might be afraid that it actually will work, and when you actually make money, you’ll lose the ability to have excuses.


I have students who watch thousands of hours of my webinars, and they still don’t take action. That’s fine. I mean, I’m glad they get value, or entertainment or whatever. But still, I have to ask, “Why are you not taking action? Why are you not doing something?”


Because you’ve been programmed not to do anything.

But the cool thing about a programmed mind is that it can always be unprogrammed.


You can always reverse what was done. You can always look through it. But the only way you’re going to look through it is by rising about it.


You might ask yourself, “How do I rise above this?

How do I look from the outside in?”


You have to realize that the confidence, or the belief in yourself, is not in the other people who say it to you. It’s in you because you believe it. You just choose to believe it from other people.


It’s the same kind of thing if someone puts you down, or says things won’t work, or says you’re not good enough, or smart enough, or whatever it may be. That’s in you. You have those feelings in you, you’re just choosing to say, “Yes, I agree with this person.”


So, realize that everything is made up from programming. You’re programmed to believe, and be, and think what you are right now.


I have this saying in my own life that has helped me immensely.


It goes, “If I were in your shoes, I’d be exactly where you are.”


If I had your upbringing, if I had the programming you had, if I had the parents you had, if I had the social area that you grew up in, if I had all those things, I would be exactly where you’re at right now.


That’s the way that it works. If you take someone and put them through circumstances, they’re going to be the product of those circumstances.


Now, you have a way to see out of it, but sometimes you need some help. That’s what this is about.


Now that you know that you’re a product of all of this…

Now that you know that society has put these things in your mind…

Now that you know that lots of people have paid a lot of money for you to have the mindset that you have…


What are you going to do about it? It’s time to understand it, and to change it.


Everything is made up of pre-programming. Your mind, what you think, is not as good as you think it is. Often, we respond to ideas before really trying them out. We make this preplanned idea of what is going to work, what isn’t going to work, and what one person will think, and what another person won’t think.


We’re always filtering. Now, filtering is good because it makes life faster. But it can also be bad, because it means you’re not really listening to something, right?


In the core of your mind, you’re never actually learning new things.

Your brain is looking to fit new information into old categories. That’s the way the mind works. It’s called categorical reference.


This can be a good thing, but it can also be bad, in that you can’t really learn new stuff unless you think outside the box.


Realize that you are in charge of the information you put in your brain. You’re in charge. Right now, you decide.






Tip #2: Money is not an emotional thing.


This is a big one. Money is not an emotional thing. Money doesn’t give a shit about you. It doesn’t care when you don’t have enough of it. It doesn’t think, it doesn’t feel. It’s just a unit of measurement.


A lot of times in life we’ve been programmed to think that money is this big thing.


Think about the United States and the national debt.

What would happen in the United States if the national debt was completely paid off? If the national debt was paid off, would we all have a bunch of money? Would the government give us a bunch of free stuff?


It’s not what you think—it’s actually worse than you think. It would probably be closer to economic collapse.


That’s because the nature of money is debt. That’s how it’s created.

The government puts a certain amount of money in circulation, and that’s a negative called the national debt. Contrary to what most people think, it’s not all owed to China and other countries. It’s pretty much owed to ourselves.


But TV and programming all say that the national debt is terrible. We’re pre-programmed to think that way. We think it’s terrible to have all this debt, but all the while, it’s actually kind of meaningless.


Now, does that mean we should go out of control and spend a lot? No, that causes inflation. We have to balance it, which is why you need regulations and things like that. Basically, money works a lot differently than we think it does.


A lot of people get emotional about money. They feel funny about it. They think, “oh man, I don’t have enough.”


How many of you right now are sad that you don’t have enough money? You feel bad for yourself?


A lot of people are sad, happy, or depressed about money. People say, “I wish I had more money.” Some people even hate money.


But money’s not really anything to hate. It’s just a number. It’s weird. In life we look at people who have a lot of money, and we think about them differently. We idolize celebrities.


But money itself is not an emotional thing. It doesn’t care.


Never did a dollar build anything.

Never did a dollar jump out of my wallet and say, I love you.

Never did a dollar jump out of my wallet and say, I want you to be happy.


Money is just a unit of measurement. It’s like a ruler. Money is a manmade invention. We believe that the money is going to run out. We think there’s not enough, that it’s a limited supply. But it’s not a limited supply. There’s plenty to go around.


You have to look at it and realize that money is not emotional, and therefore, you’re not going to be emotionally attached to money.







Tip #3: It’s not your birthright to be rich.


People think that the universe owes you a living. It doesn’t. The world, the universe, your family, the government does not owe you a living. No one owes you shit.


That can be depressing, or it can be liberating. What do you choose? Do you want it to be depressing or liberating?


For me, it’s completely liberating. If no one owes me anything, I can just go get what I want. Isn’t that pretty cool?


And how can you get what you want? You can get it by learning skills. You can get it by making decisions. You can earn it by selling things. Money is literally everywhere, once you open your eyes to it.


But so many people can’t get more money, because they’re focused on the money they don’t have.

The hand you give through is the hand that you received through. And if your hand is clenched, you think, “I can’t invest in anything. I can’t do anything. I have to keep every little penny I have.” You’re never going to get anything new.


Understand that it’s not your birthright to be rich. Even billionaires and all those people who inherit money, it’s not their birthright. It just happened to be where they’re at.

I can’t think it’s my birthright to be rich when other people have nothing. That’s how I look at it. Whatever the least person on the earth has, that’s what I deserve. I didn’t choose to be born here in affluent America, in a pretty well-to-do family. I didn’t choose that.


Now, since I have more money, it’s my responsibility to try to make more and try to help them.


No one owes you anything. You have to learn to get what you want. Once you focus on this, then it becomes easy. You can do it.


If I want to make $5000 a month, I need to focus on making about $168 a day, somewhere around there. What am I going to do to get my $168 a day?


If there are 24 hours in a day, then I need to make around $5 or $6 an hour, or something like that. What am I going to do to make a website that makes $5 to $6 an hour? If I want to do that, then I could probably get a toolbar download in about ten visitors. So if I got 15 visitors, I could get two toolbar downloads, and that would leave me money to pay for traffic, and that could make me $5,000 a month.


The problem is that people’s egos get in the way, and they don’t want to start from square one. But sometimes you have to. You have to learn to get what you desire.


Tip #4: Desire is not a universal pull to get what you want.


The next tip is that desire is not a universal pull to get what you want. This is a big thing they talk about in The Secret, in the Law of Attraction, in Think and Grow Rich. They all have some good stuff, right? But you have to take things with a grain of salt.


Desire is nothing more than a sort of lust for things. That’s all it is. If you want something, you desire it.


And just because you desire it, doesn’t mean that it’s owed to you. It also doesn’t mean that you’re going to get it. You have to understand in your head that desire on its own is not enough.


There’s an important lesson here. What did the people who made The Secret and the Law of Attraction sell? If you desire something enough, you’ll get it. What’s the essence of marketing? Creating desire. Anyone see a parallel there?


Desire is an emotion. No one owes you a living.


That’s what this is about – promoting thinking freely, thinking differently. This is very important. Challenge what you believe. That’s how you grow, right?


Our culture has been trained not to listen to others’ opinions. You argue why you’re right. Thank about the message being sent to society. Don’t listen to the other opinions of other people. Don’t open your mind. Prove why you’re right.


And that, my friends, is what keeps you stuck. That is what keeps you from making money. That is what’s going to stop you from living a good, fulfilling life.


Also understand that there’s a difference between desire and attachment to desire. Desire is good, okay? For one thing, we all desire money. And money does good things, right? We could buy things, we could help people, we could do all kinds of stuff with money.


But when we’re attached to that desire, it’s a different story.


I used to be attached to the desire of money. Years ago, I would be sitting in my office, even on days I didn’t have to work. I made $5,000 a day automatically, but I still worked every day because I felt like I needed to work. If I made less money one day than I did the next, I’d freak out. I was completely attached to this idea.


Marketing, at its base course element, is producing desire. That’s what it is. Right now, you might desire money. You might desire different things. Marketing, at its essence, is about producing desire.  And if we can reverse engineer the way our desire works, then we can figure this out.



Tip #5: Get your ego out of the way.


Our culture is very ego-based. A lot of people don’t know as much as they think they do. Or, they think they know something, but they’re not doing anything with it.


I want you to start from a place of humility and realize that you don’t know everything.


Here’s the deal. In our culture, in our society, the critics are esteemed. People with opinions are esteemed. They’re on TV, they’re everywhere. Everyone’s got an opinion.


But the truth is that no one really cares about your opinion. In the grand scheme of things, no one really cares about what you think.


The minute I learned in my life that my opinion didn’t mean jack shit was the minute I got free. Then I was able to become a better marketer, and really live life where it doesn’t really matter.

I can share my opinions, and that’s cool, and if you don’t accept it, that’s cool, but I’m not attached to it.


This attachment to your own ideas is pre-programmed. Your opinion doesn’t really mean anything. Your critique doesn’t mean anything.


Once you realize that that your opinions don’t matter, it will free you, too.


If I want to make $5000 a month, I need to focus on making about $168 a day, somewhere around there. What am I going to do to get my $168 a day?

Now, we’re going to talk about learning new skills.


Right now, you can choose to go learn a skill. You might say, “Marcus, I need to make $5,000 a month starting next month.” Everyone here can figure out a way to do it.


I have to be following the disclaimers of the government and say, “results not typical, implied, or guaranteed, and most people make nothing.” And it’s true, most people do make nothing, because most people don’t do anything.


However, there are lots of people making lots of money doing things. You can go out there, and you can learn a skill, and you can make $5,000 a month starting next month if you really wanted to.


You have to be a fast action-taker. Because sometimes on the internet, there is a sliver of time for an opportunity that you can get in, that you can capitalize on for years to come.


It might be a small thing, and then, boom. It can change the course of your career forever. You can tackle a fad, get on the bandwagon, build an audience, and before you know it, you can make money from it.


You could literally go do something today. You could put up a YouTube video today, and it will be out today. If it doesn’t get traffic, you learn to make it get traffic, or you buy an ad. You can put a post on Facebook today. You can get traffic today.


Within five minutes, you can be at the top of Google for any search term you want, if you’re willing to pay. The only reason you wouldn’t be willing to pay is you don’t know what you’re doing, which means you need to learn a skill.


It’s pretty basic stuff. You could think that you’re dumb, you don’t know how to do it. But you’re not dumb. I’m no smarter than you. I just went and learned different skills. It’s really just all about learning stuff that is in demand. That’s it.


Some of you are experts on raising kids. Some of you are experts on driving. There’s some of you that are experts on all kinds of things. And even if you’re not, you can learn to be.


I wasn’t born with this knowledge. I wasn’t born with a computer in my hand. (I actually struggled through computer class, because I wanted to do my own thing.)

But I wanted to use the computer to make money. I was curious, and thought, “How do I do it?”


And I went out there, and I failed sometimes. And sometimes I did really good, and sometimes I did just okay. But over time, in my business, I’ve made quite a bit of money, and I’ve done a lot of stuff.


How do we learn different skills that are going to work? I’m not talking about skills like web design or coding. I’m talking about the skill of being in charge of stuff.


What is the core of business? What is an entrepreneur paid for?

The number one thing I do that I’m paid for is making decisions. It’s what I do all day. I make a decision.

And that’s what you got to get in the habit of doing.

You might say, “Well, you know, I’m going to do this, I’m going to do that.” But the number one thing that hinders people is making a decision.

That’s it. Why am I paid good money for what I do? Because I make decisions.

You have the ability to make a decision. You can tackle a niche. If it fails, cool. Who gives a rip? No one cares. You might have a critic or two who says, “Well, I told you the internet thing doesn’t work.” But lots of people make money on the internet. You’ll find a different way.

When I started, I probably had 10 times as many people than you do telling me it wasn’t going to work. I still have people who tell me to get a real job.

Making decisions is the number one thing. My job is to make decisions, and your job is to make good decisions. Decisions to enter a market, decisions to make a website, decisions to send an email, decisions to do a webinar, decisions to do all these things. That’s what puts people ahead.

Look at people who are bosses and people who are under bosses. Why does the boss get paid a lot, and everyone else gets paid a little?

Because the boss makes decisions that put everything on the line. Not because he wears a fancy suit, or because he went to Harvard. He’s paid to make decisions.

This is the hardest thing for so many people, because no one is telling you what to do.

But you need to learn to make decisions, because that’s where the money is.

Once you understand this, you can understand the seven skills sets you need to become an entrepreneur and build the business you want.

Skill #1: Ambition


You’ve got to have the ambition. You’ve got to have the drive. You have to want it. You have to say, “This is what I want to do,” and you’ve got to be willing to go do it.


Desire is not enough. You’ve got to take action. If you don’t have the ambition, you’re not going to do anything.


You have to want it. You have to say that you want a different life.


I saw that I wanted a different life. I said, “I’m going to be home when my kids get home from school every day, and they’re going to say hi to me.” And that’s how it happens. That’s why I do it. Because they want to see me when they get home from school, and I get to be here. I don’t miss anything.


I said, “This is the life that I want,” and I went and made it. I said, “This is how I’m going to make it,” and I did it.

This is extremely important, because you get what you make. Your life right now is a product of what you made of it so far. You might’ve listened to a bunch of other people, but this is what you made.


I’m not a victim of circumstance. I’m not a victim of everything life puts on me. I’m just a person, and I make decisions, and I do what I want. But I have to have the ambition.


In life, everyone can do whatever the hell they want, if they’re willing to pay the consequences.


I could go and I can do bad things. I could go rob a bank and get rich, if I’m willing to go to prison. (I’m not, so I don’t do that.) I’m willing to do my business so that I can get my money. I’m willing to do the stuff I need to do, so that I can get to where I want. That’s the ambition I have.


Figure out what your ambition is—because it’s not money.


Nobody wants $2 million in the bank. They want security and feeling. Nobody wants to quit their job. They want to not have a job and be their own boss.


So, get to the deeper meaning. What do you want? Do you want to be home when your kids get home from school? Good. Make your life that way and start today.


Nothing is more motivating then someone who paid you to do something because it’s actually harder to not do that. I don’t know why, but it just works that way.


People will work way harder to save $10,000 from being taken from them than they will to earn $10,000.

Think about that for a minute.


The average person on the planet would do more to keep the money they have than to get more money.


I’m the opposite. When it comes to my business, I’m going to spend whatever I have to in order to make it happen. But I know it’s going to work. (Make sure it’s going to work. Don’t take silly stupid risks.)


In a way, investing doesn’t have to cost anything. People ask me all the time, “How much should I budget for paid traffic?” Nothing. Don’t budget anything for paid traffic. Because if it doesn’t make you money, you’re not going to buy it anymore.


I’m not going to sit there and $10,000, and then at the end see what happens. That’s silly. Spend $5, and if nothing happens at the end of $5, figure out why. On the other hand, if you made $10, then spend $20 tomorrow, and see if you can make $40.


That’s what I did with my site, one of my big famous sites with the cursors and the layouts. When we started out, I said, let’s spend $20. I made $50. So, I spent $50 the next day, and I made $100. Pretty soon, within weeks, I was spending $1,700 a day on ads, and I was making like $5,000 a day.


Now did I come out and say, I’m going to test $5,000 today and see what happens? No, I started with $20.


Start small, and ramp it up. Get it up there, make it work, test, be curious, be interested, be ambitious. Go after what you want.





Skill #2: Curiosity


Curiosity is the ability to say, “What will happen if…?”


That’s how I live my life. I’m curious as hell. I’m curious all day. I’m one of those people who love social experiments. I love trying new things. I love figuring out what people are going to do. The minute I lose my curiosity is the minute I’m not going to try things.


Are you curious about making money online, or do you just want money? A lot of you say that you just want money. Well, you have to be curious to be able to get it. You have to go out there and try something, and keep that curiosity along the way.


Don’t live in the fear of loss. The fear of loss kills creativity, and it kills curiosity.


Instead, think,

“What if people respond to that?

What if that actually works?

I wonder if people will opt in.

I wonder if people will click “download”.

I wonder if they’ll do this.

I wonder if they’ll do that.


Tell yourself that you’re no longer going to live your life by the fear of loss. Instead, you’re going to live by the hope of gain. You’re going to live by being curious, and saying, “What’s going to happen?”


Be curious and test things. Get people’s attention. Get their interest, get their desire, get them to take action. It’s pretty simple. Don’t overcomplicate it.


You could do this on Facebook. You could do this on Instagram. You could do this with videos. You could do this with a sheet of paper. What matters is learning how to communicate to an audience to get their attention, get them interested, get them desiring, and get them to take action.




Skill #3: Perseverance


This is a big one. You have to be able to persevere. You have to be able to stick with it.


Don’t have what I call marketing ADD, where your brain is going everywhere and you can’t focus on one thing.


Focus on one thing. Do the one thing good. Even if it’s not what I’m teaching. If you’re doing Shopify, then go all in on Shopify. You’ll eventually make money if you do it right (hopefully sooner rather than later). See it through and make it work.


And as you go along, if it’s not working the way you planned, keep at it. (Really, it probably won’t. Nothing really goes the way you ultimately plan it.) Sometimes it will be even better. I didn’t expect people to like the Affiliate Marketing Dude stuff as much as they do, but they do.


Some things will work great, and some won’t work as well. But you’ve got to be able to persevere. You’ve got to be able to do it, and go for what works, and you’ve got to keep at it.


Now, if you want some extra help, can you pay for a hack? Sure, you could pay for me to find your niche, get your site, and get everything set up so that you can see it. But am I going to just give you the thing? No, it’s not going to work that way. Life doesn’t work that way.


You could buy one of my courses. But a course is only as good as your ability to extract the info. I don’t teach anything – you learn. Learning is an active process.


Or maybe you need to go to a different person. Find someone you like. But no matter what, you’ve got to persevere.




Skill #4: Taking Responsibility


Take responsibility.


I am where I am because I decided to be where I’m at.


You might say to me, “Marcus, you don’t understand. We had a baby. I have to work two jobs to make ends meet.” And that’s fine. That’s the life you chose. If you had to, then good. You did what you had to do, and your family will eat, and that’s great.


But if you want something different, don’t say that you’re a product of where life put you. Say that you’re going to be a product where you’re going to put your life.


Now, sometimes there are things that happen that you can’t foresee. But I believe we can also find our way out of those. Sometimes people have hardships and people get depressed. But you have to look at it and ask yourself, “Can I still take responsibility?”


Even if you have depression. A lot of people struggle with that. I used to struggle with it until I learned depression was about getting out of your mindset.


Emotion is just energy and motion. They’re just things in your mind. Emotion is just a feeling, and people live their lives by emotions. They don’t do something if they don’t feel like it. Their egos get hurt. Their pride gets hurt. They get upset that people were mean. Stuff happens.


You want to change your emotions? Change your energy. Change what you do.


Next time you’re sad, go for a jog. I guarantee that most people with depression probably exercise. But there are marketers out there who say, “No, you need this. You’ve got to have this. If you don’t have this, you’re going to be sad.” There’s a pill for almost everything.


I’m not saying these are bad things, and you should obviously listen to your doctor and do what they say. But sometimes there’s stuff out there that just doesn’t make sense. Marketers will try to tell you that there’s something wrong with you. And people believe it all the time.


I thought for years that something was wrong with me. Now I’ve realized that there’s nothing wrong with me. I might be a little bit different, maybe a little bit out there. But I’m me and I’m okay. And if I’ve learned to live with it, there we go.


A lot of people want to blame others instead of taking responsibility. That’s like saying you can’t go to the gym because the weights are too heavy.


You’ve got to look at this and say, “I’m in charge.” This is my responsibility. My happiness is my responsibility. My putting food on the table for my kids is my responsibility. My making more money is my responsibility. My spending money stupidly is my responsibility.” You’ve got to be a responsibility taker.





Skill #5: Ability to Sell


Another skill you need is the ability to sell. You might not like sales. You might even hate sales. But you have to get over it and start liking sales.


You sell all the time.


(You sell me on the fact that you don’t like sales. Congratulations. But you didn’t make anything.)


I love sales because it’s just curiosity. People look at it as success or failure. I look at it as, what didn’t work that time that I could do different next time? What worked this time that didn’t work that other time?


When I do webinars, even to this day, sometimes I find that the sales aren’t good. I’ve learned that when I actually teach stuff, sales are low. When I tell stories, sales are through the roof. People don’t want to learn stuff. They want to be entertained.


You need the ability to sell. A lot of you guys can be good marketers, and you already are good marketers. You sell your ideas all the time. You sell them to yourself. You sell them to your spouse. You sell them to your friends, your parents. You sell them. You are selling your ideas.


You’re selling already, it’s just a matter of what you’re selling. The reason people don’t like sales is because they don’t believe in what they’re selling. You are not selling ideas that get you paid.


If you have something that’s going to help people and you don’t sell it, you’re actually doing the world a disservice. You might say, “I have this, and this will help people do this, but I don’t like sales.” In reality, that’s pretty selfish, and also not making you money (which is what selling is).


This is about selling your ideas, selling your point of view. That is the essence of marketing. You’re getting a response. This is direct response marketing.



Skill #6: Laser-Targeted Focus


You need laser-targeted focus. You’ve got to be able to target right on one thing.


Some people get focused on the rejection. I don’t think about rejects—I just look at the orders. On a really good webinar, I will get 40% of the people to buy. That means 60% rejected me. If there are 200 people on the webinar, then 140 people rejected me.


Now, think about that. Only 60 bought. But even if people didn’t buy, it’s still my gain. I still made money. Some people didn’t buy, but I still have people who did. I don’t waste time thinking about the people who didn’t.


And there are always people who will buy. There are always people who will benefit. You just have to get the right crowd, get the right offer, and say it enough times. That’s it.


You’ve got to laser target focus on what works. Get your market, figure out what works. Go with it. Keep at it. Do not give up. Focus, focus, focus.


Don’t get distracted. Do go messing around on Facebook. Don’t go doing the wrong thing. Do what you have to do to make what you want to make. You can do it starting right now.





Skill #7: Productivity


You have to have productivity. If you’re not productive, you’re not going to make any money. The best way to be productive is to set small, little attainable goals each day.


Maybe today you’re going to run an ad. Tomorrow you’re going to set up a new site. The next day you’re going to test some traffic.

Best AdSense Placement Tips – Size Matters

Today in this special video,

I’ll show you the difference between certain ads, some sizes, colors and settings to get you the most profit.

For people who have known me for a while and been to, you guys know that I’ve made millions of dollars online and hundreds of thousands of that from AdSense.

I want to show you guys how this works because you’re gonna notice on this sample template site here, you’re gonna see that I have content.

You can see the content here in form of text. You can see the sidebar here.  This is our main portions. Up here is our header, our sidebar and our content area. As we scroll down, you can kind of see what it looks like there. Notice how I have these ads placed strategically throughout the content so that it looks like actual links. That’s the same thing that we want to replicate with AdSense.

Let’s go ahead and dive in and talk about where the different placements would go, where they look best and where you’re going to get the best click-through rate, because the more clicks you get, the more money you’re going to make.

So let’s say we have this site here.

Now there’s several major Adsense sizes.

One of them the most popular is 160 by 600.  It looks like this. Here we could probably have two of these in the sidebar if we wanted to. You’ll notice in the sidebar here, what I do have instead of this big guy, is I have a 336 by 280 which fills up that spot right there.

Now what we want to do is we want to look at this 336 by 280 and this is in fact the highest converting AdSense size that I have found. It’s very versatile. 

  • You could put it in the sidebar here which obviously looks better than this because it’s taking up more space and it looks good.
  • You could also put this over here in your content if I was to replace this and put the content around it.
  • You can center it in your content like this or you could put it you know basically wherever you want to make it look like part of the site.

It’s very important that your ads look like part of the site. So the 336 by 280 is, in my opinion, the highest converting one and that’s what I’ve seen over time as well.

Next up, again we talked about the 160 by 600 which is the skyscraper looking ad. That’s another one and these are actual size so you can see how they look on a page.

Another one is very similar to the 336 which is the 300 by 250.

What you’re gonna notice is a little bit smaller. So if you’re crunched for space or you have a smaller sidebar, you could go with this one as well or you could put this in the content here as well if you have images or something it works nicely because you could put it side-by-side. Very very cool. Very easy to use. It’s definitely also one of the better sizes.

Another one that you’re going to notice is one of the banner type sizes.

The banner sizes, this one converts pretty decent. It is a 728 by 90. The best place for 728 by 90 is usually if you have space in your heading here or if you have something on the bottom. As you’ll see it’s pretty big for in content. So if we go down to the bottom we could place it somewhere like here and just kind of try to scrape some money off of the people who scroll all the way down. So that’s where you could use that. I don’t use this one too much unless I’m using a static site. Now we’re doing this demo in WordPress so I probably wouldn’t use it too much. Let’s go ahead and put it back up the top so you guys could see it as well.

Another size which I don’t believe I have a pink box for but I do have this one which is a 468 by 60.

You can see that this one’s very good as well. You could put it like right dead center in the content so it looks like actual part of the site and that’s the goal that we’re going for is making this look like part of the site. This is also a very good one for your ads as well because it blends in, it’s a good size, everything like that. That is a 468 by 60.

Now these are your major sizes. You could see here which is 728 by 90, 336 by 280, 300 by 250, or 160 by 600. Of course in your account, you can play around with the different sizes as well.

Now let’s talk about placement.

Placement is very important because you’re going to notice that people search the web in a F-type pattern. That means that when they look, that’s your site they’re basically looking at it in this area. So the pink areas that you see here is where most of their eyes go. You could look at this by different charting tools and things like that but basically this is how they look. They’re reading left to right, starting here and coming down. This kind of stuff doesn’t stand out as much so you might want to put other things in your sidebar to try to get them because the sidebar is one of the places unless you’re highlighting it that gets the least amount of clicks. So let’s go ahead and take a look at now that we know the placement. Let’s take a look at colors and different things like that.

Now you’ll notice that a lot of regular AdSense stuff is going to look like this.

Basically has a blue border around it, blue text, green link or green URL and a black text.  So the blue is the highlighted area that you want them to click on which is good because people are accustomed to clicking on blue which is very important.

Now what you’re going to notice, by default, Adsense is going to have a border around it. We don’t want this border because the border actually makes it look like ads. It looks like okay here’s your content and bam here’s some ads here. It doesn’t look like actually part of the site. So what we want to do and I want to show you the difference here. The difference here would be, if I had these in my content with the box around them versus if I had this here.  You can see here how this looks like part of the site and this one looks like something else.  We want to get rid of that border and we want to keep those links blue and everything. This again is the 336 by 280 AdSense block which is a very very high converting one.

Another one, we talked about is the smaller one here like this, where we could put this here in your content if we were to put it like right here. Again, look at how the border makes a difference. The border makes a huge difference in saying, “hey this is an ad; this is an ad” rather than having it look like part of the site, like my links do here.

So again, you definitely want to get rid of that border and look at how nicely that looks! It basically looks like part of the content. So obviously since Google’s going to target this, they’ll put ads about temper tantrums and BAM now it looks like part of the content. Same kind of thing with links up top. You can play around with different links and things like that. It may be up here right below this so it looks like kind of like a like a menu where they’re seeing different content and stuff like that. Very very important.

Again, remember, make it look like part of the content.

Don’t point at it.
Don’t tell people to click at it.

Don’t put big images by it that say click here or anything like that.

Don’t do any bait-and-switch.

If you use these tactics which are well within the guidelines of the Adsense TOS or Terms of Service or whatever, you’re gonna do really really well because that’s basically what they want. They want people to click on things they’re interested in and you can see here just by looking at how good this looks right. 

If I had a black site I’d probably make the background of the ads black and then different colors and things like that but normally I like to stick to white background, blue link, black text, green URL. Play around with different sizes, different places like this and watch your Adsense income go through the roof.

I’ve seen mine as much as quadruple or more just by adding these simple tactics so have fun with it.
