Hey Marcus,
We all know blogging ain’t dead! Given all the recent (good) vlogs you’ve been doing 9/10 it’s always about having a blog as the value proposition. And like you’ve point out, have a link you have one way of earning, same goes for a product. But have a blog then you have unlimited ways to earn and to sell and promote products, services and whatever.
Some days I want to say “yeah it is dead” but I saw food results going back a decade and then only last year I started blogging again seriously and I am on page 3 already for some terms so let’s keep attacking those low hanging fruits X Long tail keywords 🙂
Keep up the good work you do!!!
Here’s what Claude says: As of 2024, blogging isn’t dead, but it has evolved significantly from its early days. Here’s a brief overview of the state of blogging:
1. Transformation: Many traditional blogs have evolved into more professional, content-rich websites or online magazines.
2. Niche focus: Successful blogs often cater to specific niches or interests rather than general topics.
3. Multimedia integration: Blogs frequently incorporate various media types like videos, podcasts, and interactive elements.
4. Social media integration: Many bloggers use social media platforms to promote their content and engage with audiences.
5. Monetization: Blogs remain a viable way for content creators to earn income through advertising, sponsorships, and affiliate marketing.
6. Business tool: Companies continue to use blogs for content marketing, SEO, and establishing thought leadership.
7. Personal branding: Individuals still use blogs to showcase expertise and build personal brands.
8. Long-form content: Despite the rise of short-form content, there’s still demand for in-depth, well-researched articles.
While the landscape has changed, blogging continues to be relevant in various forms. However, creators must adapt to changing consumption habits and platform preferences to remain competitive.
My new-ish HTN site is blog-centric at the moment, but will DEFINITELY be using that as the foundation to branch out into product-related content. The blog will be ever in development, though, because that draws attention and traffic for everything else.
I believe AI is going to improve blogging.
