That’s right. If you’re serious about growing an audience on YouTube and actually making money from it you need these three things.

I’m Marcus a.k.a. the affiliate marketing dude. And today I’m going to show you the three things that every YouTuber needs to have if they want to grow and build a business from their channel. For right now let’s dive into those three things that you need to grow your audience here on YouTube. Number one the first thing you must have is a good domain name. This is a name that’s going to establish you in your market in your niche with your viewers. So it’s got to be something easy to remember. Here on my channel I use affiliate marketing do dot.com and affiliate dude dot.com. See how they’re easy to remember and they go with my channel. So whatever your channel is whatever the objective is. Put that in a domain name that’s easy to remember. Make sure you use a dot com because sometimes people don’t know the difference between dot coms and all the other stuff. So get a dot com to stand out. This is very very important and crucial because it’s going to have a place for your visitors to go and watch other videos get other tutorials and everything like that. Oftentimes here on the channel you’ll see that I recommend some things or I give a lesson and then I say go over to my site to get the download PBF of the lesson that you just learned. This is a great way to get visitors to go to your domain build up domain authority get traffic and bring him back over and over and over again. So get a good domain name. Very important. And by the way I actually have a special set of instructions on everything I’m talking about in this video that you can get over it video hacks dot com. That’s a video hack Ask.com you can get the list. Let’s dive in to number two. Number two is very important.

That is an auto responder an auto responder is a way to take your visitors that are watching your videos here on YouTube. And when they watch your videos you usually have a link in the description that link in the description is going to go to your domain name which is going to have your audio responder. Now what is an auto responder an auto responder is that thing you see on sites where it says put your name and email for more info. And it’s got like a big submit button.

 Now what this auto responder is going to do is going to capture all the names and e-mails of the people that are checking your site out and want to learn more about you and put them into a database. This database is extremely important because you could use this database to send emails when you come out with a new video thus building your audience building rapport with your community and starting like a little group of people who know like and trust you and want to get more content from you. This is extremely important because every time you come out with a new video you can now send it to all your visitors instantly. You are going to have new eyeballs on your video. Those are eyeballs just for clarification. Now in addition to having videos and everything like that you can also send emails with links to offers and various things you promote. So let’s say you have a tech channel you have a tech channel that talks about all kinds of tech things and cameras and recorders and all kinds of stuff like that and you get these people watching your videos. Now what’s going to happen is a very small percentage is going to click the links in the description. Extremely small an even smaller percentage is actually going to buy the product. So instead of putting that link in the description straight to an affiliate offer what I like to do is I’d like to say go get a PDF download of what I just talked about with the links to the best places to buy these products with links. Very cool and best prices. So now they’re going to go over there they’re going to put their name and email and I can send them offers over and over and over again as long as I want it as long as it’s something relevant to whatever my channels about. [00:04:26] And because of this your viewers are going to be extremely happy.

[00:04:36] Thus growing your audience making you more money and growing a community in your niche very important. Now the third thing every YouTube needs is a custom three director. A custom redirect or something that’s going to build links on your site. For example I like to use affiliate dew dot com because it’s very short. Now I could make a video and say go to affiliate dew dot com slash money and I get set up a link very quickly in about three seconds that will direct them wherever I want them to go. Now this is very important because I can change the link at the drop of a hat. I could see how many people click the link and it’s a link on my domain instead of one of those big Liza crazy link redirects. That’s really hard to type in. Imagine trying to tell people go to a bit dot l y slash one two three. Question mark q r w 5 4 7. Instead I just say go to affiliate News.com slash money or something like that. Very very simple. So a custom redirect or something that’s going to catch the eyes of your visitor in the description of your video and even something you can mention on the video on the screen. Just like on this video how I tell you to go get the PDA download of all these things where to get them how to set it up and everything like that over a video hack Ask.com. See how easy that is very simple very easy to set up the redirect and boom I can get you to go there and get that PDA off and build everything up. And this is how my latest videos get more eyeballs on them. This is how I make more money and this is how I engage with my audience in a real cool way. As a bonus step number four what I would also do is set up a WordPress. [00:06:18][102.2]

What a WordPress blog is going to do is it’s going to allow you to post your latest videos and get extra search engine traffic. So instead of just getting traffic from YouTube now you can post your video on your blog with a little description and boom it’s going to start to rank in the search engines. People are going to start to binge watch even more and the amount of visitors that go to your site is going to skyrocket. [00:06:41][18.2]

 You could literally set up a WordPress blog in about 15 minutes. I’m going to show you exactly how over at video hacks dot com. So we’re going to go over here. You’re going to learn how to set this up and then what’s going to happen is now you’re going to have tons of pages for each of your videos. How could some kid without a college education make over ten million dollars on the Internet.

Well we’re going to talk about that. I’m going to show you exactly what I did and what you need to know if you plan on making money without going to college. And we’re starting right now. When I was a kid I was really good at math. I went to high school and I took math tests and I always got A’s on the test. But there was one problem and the problem was is I didn’t know how to show my work.

So I would do my math problem and I’d get the answer but I wouldn’t show any work and so the teacher thought I was cheating which meant that I failed the class which meant that my hopes of college were pretty much down the drain. So instead what I decided to do is not go to school which was probably not a good idea gotten a lot of trouble. But at any rate there I was and because of that I wasn’t really college material. I graduated from one of those continuation schools and when I graduated I didn’t have that much money.

Now what I did is I worked a little odd jobs I worked at McDonald’s sold some computers and in my part time what I did was I had a magic business. I would actually do magic shows for local companies and for local birthday parties and things like that churches and stuff. And so I was I was learning magic and I made a little bit of side money but nothing really that big. I was pretty much broke because my brother and I moved out when I was about 15 years old and we had to pay rent and everything. So I had to figure out a way to make this work.

And in California rents are not very cheap. So there I was I was doing my magic doing my work and one day I was trying to build my magic business up and I came across this ad in the local magic magazine. It looked like this and it promised to show magicians how to get more bookings how to make more money as magicians and so I went through and I was like OK this is pretty cool. And I learned the art of advertising I learned that I could just change the words on an ad and that was the difference between like getting a lot of money and no money. And so I kind of got hooked. I was like wow are you kidding me.

Like seriously changing words on an ad is the difference between making nothing and making lots of money. Like seriously it’s pretty cool right. And it’s crazy because changing the words on the ad What’s the difference between nine hundred dollars a month in bookings and like five thousand dollars a month in bookings which to me was like wow and I’ll make five grand a month. That’s pretty cool. And at that point I could have just stopped and been happy with the extra bookings but instead I started to look into it and say well if the words on the paper could be the difference between five thousand a month and nine hundred a month then I think I want to learn the art of writing words on paper. And so I went through and I started studying marketing and I was like OK let’s learn about marketing and advertising and how to write these ads and and what makes them work.

And I remember something I heard from Jim Morone and he said that formal education i.e. college will make you a living but self education can make you a fortune. And so I decided to dive in and self educate myself about marketing and advertising and what makes these ads work and what makes them not work. And so I decided to start testing things out with mailing letters out to local companies building Web sites. I even ran some ads in magazines for business and magazines for magic and doing things like that. And I became a real student of writing these ads because I figured hey here’s all these people that are working their ass off for sixty thousand dollars a year after investing like hundreds of thousands of dollars in college. That to me didn’t sound like the greatest investment to me.

I thought well what if I could learn this art of writing ads like this ad here which cost a quarter of a million dollars to run which you guys can look at these ads they cost a fortune to run and they keep running them because they work now. They work because of what I learned and what I taught myself which is how to write a good ad that gets a response. And because I learned that skill I was able to take that and use that online and make millions of dollars from the comfort of my own home without having a college degree or even stepping foot in a college once in my life.

So let me talk to you about what I think is the biggest money getting opportunity of all time and you can do this without having a college degree. [00:04:10][7.8]

So a college degree you don’t need.

 That’s our college hat. Don’t need a college degree. So one of the things that we got to learn is how do we want to make this work. Because right now there are billions of people on the Internet right now probably millions right now but there’s billions connected to the Internet and these people on the Internet are looking for stuff. They want information they want to learn about things they want discounts and all kinds of things.

Now the key is is that these are captivated people this is you’re captivated audience. Now if you were able to write an ad or a letter to these people and get them to buy something or get them to do something or fill out a form or click a link or even call a phone number if you could get them to do that then you could make a ton of money. This is the secret a lot of people don’t know because it’s not really taught anywhere they teach you the basics of advertising and everything like that but they don’t teach you the real world stuff about marketing. Now if I could go here as a business guy and I’m like Here I am as a business guy. I don’t know why but apparently I will wear bell bottoms. OK.

So here we are. I’m the business guy. OK. And let’s say that I’m over here.

And I have something to sell okay maybe I’m affiliate and I can sell something and get paid. Maybe I find a product that works really good and I can sell it and get paid. Right. So here we go. [00:05:36][10.1]

We think we got all these companies that are willing to pay us these big moneybags. All right. Here’s our big moneybags.

OK. They’re willing to pay us moneybags when people do stuff which is cool. So all I have to do is learn to take a link from The Advertiser Web site. This is a custom link for me and I get paid when people buy things click things download things fill out forms call phone numbers whatever it is you name it.

I get paid and sometimes I’ll get paid like two dollars just to give away a downloader. I’ll get paid one hundred dollars to get someone to fill out an application for a credit card or something like that. Now my job as a marketer again remember that skill that I learned without college is being able to speak to these people in a way that’s going to work. Let’s say these people over here are interested in travel. OK. And this is an example you guys are going to like. So they’re interested in travel and they want to fly all around the world in their jet setting whatever it is.

OK whatever it is they’re interested in travel and they like discounts on travel. All right so I got all these people looking up discounts on travel over here. Let’s say I have this link and this link is for a credit card. Sign up form that gives them rewards on travel. Right. So these people can save money on travel by using this special credit card. All I got to do is write a good ad for these people. Send them to the credit card sign up form and I get paid one hundred dollars or more. Every time someone applies. Imagine if I get 10 of those a day that’s 1000 dollars a day in money.

I could be making compare that with the average starting salary for someone who just graduated college. You’re looking at like forty thousand to sixty thousand dollars a year and you still got to pay your student loans which is kind of insane. Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not knocking college here. I’m glad my doctor and my lawyer went to college. It’s a very good thing right. I’m very glad they did. And for people like that I think college is the thing. But some of you guys out there might be looking at it and maybe you’re looking at a career later in life or maybe you’re looking at.

Should I go to college or start my own business. And we’ve got to look at it and say do the numbers add up for us and do we know what we want to do.

Because I think there’s much more efficient ways to make money because if you’re able to get 10 people to fill out this form boob you just made yourself three hundred and sixty thousand dollars a year which is pretty much as much as a good doctor makes. Today we’re going to talk to you about the biggest free traffic secret ever. And I got to tell you I feel like this kind of stuff. Make sure you subscribe and click the little bell. We do a big live presentation where everyone hops on and ask questions and everything like that. So subscribe click the bell for right now let’s dive in and let’s talk about this big secret now. The first thing that must be noted which you should probably already know by now is that the keyword is everything all right.

That’s not the secret but you got to get a kind of preface it with that. The keyword is everything having the wrong keywords in SEO is going to make or break you. That’s plain and simple. Now once you have your keyword list how are you going to rank forum and how you get ranked on Google and other search engines literally like instantly or within a couple of minutes.

Because you know I’m kind of impatient and I like to wait around for months and months and months to get my first visitor to my site. So you’re going to notice some icons here we’re going to cover these icons in just a minute. Well let’s go over to Google let’s take a look at what’s going on.

The biggest secret for SEO stuff is to go to Google here and type in your keyword. All right. So bear with me bear with me. All right we’re going to type in our word. Let’s say we’re going for chicken parmesan recipes. Here’s the thing. Google actually tells you exactly what it wants because what it wants is ranking on the first page. If they didn’t want it. It wouldn’t be there. Now what do I mean by that. Well what I mean is here for chicken parmesan recipes you can see the competition’s pretty hefty. You got some kind of recipe up here some recipes down here and other things like that. OK. So very cool. So we can see that they like recipe type sites.

We can go through we could look at these sites and be like OK yeah. They want recipes. The average recipe article is this long and this is how it’s laid out. Very simple right. We could see that they obviously have ratings. So having a rating is probably gonna get you as well. Now this is where it gets even better. Like if we do something like how to make chicken parmesan what we’re going to notice here is it starts to switch things up a little. We’ve got the recipes like on the one before but now we’ve got videos. Hey pretty cool right. I can actually literally put a video up and I can pop up there if I do it right.

Very very fast but Marcus how do I make a video. Well you literally just read the article you were going to write for SEO and put some screenshots to it. [00:03:11][9.7]

[00:03:11] OK. So very cool. We see videos there now on some other search terms. It will change as well.

We have a list of different recipes here. We got our videos so obviously we want to structure our SEO strategy around what’s already out there.

OK really cool really basic I know it’s pretty easy but we’re going to get into some more detailed stuff in just a minute and we’re going to go through and take a look at another keyword. Let’s say we want to go for something like make money online. Now again we see some ads up here. We see some kind of article here. We see videos again really important. And we can keep scrolling down and see if there’s something like a forum or something like a message board where people are posting and commenting and stuff like that where you could actually get involved in your market. Right.

So you go out there and you can get back links and hopefully it will work or you could go to a site that’s already ranking put your own back link up there get traffic instantly and then eventually you’ll start to get ranking as well but you’re going to get traffic instantly which is cool. Now also notice here on Make Money Online we also have images right. Really really important to get images down here which is really cool right. So a lot less competitive for images than it is for actual search engine rankings. OK. So we can get our image ranked pretty easily. Now let’s say we wanted to search for something like Italian food. Now first of all spell it right unlike me and we look at Italian food and now we could see Italian food near us which is like the map thing. So obviously if I wanted to rank for this I would need to get involved in those maps.

Now here’s something kind of interesting. I didn’t really expect to see for Italian food. But we got to remember the word Italian food overall in the entire world gets a lot of traffic. So we got to look at this and we got to think and put our thinking caps on. Right now we’re going to see down here. Hey check this out. It says top stories. So there’s actually stories news stories about Italian food and they get ranked on Google which means that if I did a press release which is a news story about Italian food I could probably start to get picked up for some of my keywords like that.

Yes that’s exactly what I mean. Check it out. There’s not that much competition for Italian food like this one was June 7th. June 6 May 31 right. Not a whole lot of stuff and it’s not directly related to the word Italian food. So like this is something you can do right. This way to get in on trends and get lots of traffic. It’s a lot better than spending months to get your first visitor right. I mean.

I. Said I like to do. Now here’s an interesting one for like body building workout log. You can see images pop up here which is really cool. We got forums that pop up that we can get involved in and start answering questions and lead people back to our site. Here’s some more forums more forums and then hey check this out. There’s actually a PDF that ranks for a bodybuilding workout log. Interesting. We also have Amazon that’s ranking which means I could put up a simple bodybuilding workout log put it on Amazon and probably use Amazon to rank my thing and give it away for 99 cents or something like that.

Here’s another PD F here. Right. So we could actually see exactly what Google wants by doing a little search and then we literally just give Google what it wants and we start to rank really really really fast. Now this doesn’t work on super competitive words like make money online but you might be able to get something like bodybuilding workout log which will get you a decent amount of traffic while you’re trying for the bigger word.

So what I want you to remember is that for each search term you’re going after there’s going to be certain things on Google that literally is like a road map telling you what Google wants whether it’s something like an image whether it’s something like news whether it’s a map type thing whether it’s videos whether it’s shopping sites for example if we go over here and we do cheapest laptop right you’re going to see shopping sites up here which we can get in the shopping sites like that you can see different review sites and things like that really really cool really easy. We could also see videos right. So you’re going to see different things that Google wants. And the other search engines one as well for this stuff that works really good.

You might see articles if you see articles what kind of articles are they. What is Google seemed to be ranking that’s how your content should be structured. You also might see things like review sites different types of attachments or PDA FS or spreadsheets or things like that. Facebook Groups oftentimes show up in the search engines and Pinterest as well. So what I want you guys to do is number one pick a good keyword. If you don’t know how to pick a good keyword check out the video that’s going to pop up at the end of this video. Also put it in the description. Very important for keyword research. That’s the one thing I’ve been doing for 20 years it’s made me the most money is picking the right keyword.

And that’s what you should do as well. And then also go through and look at what’s ranking. Follow along that guide. Give Google what it wants and watch your traffic grow. Pretty much overnight. That’s why I’m starting a new series here on the channel, which if you want to watch it, make sure you subscribe and click the bell, where we’re going to go through and talk about all the things that I learned early on about ads and how to make ads convert for you. I want to start this series off by talking to you about some of these magazines that I spent a small fortune acquiring on eBay so that I could teach you this stuff. These magazines are from the early 1900s.

I think this one here is from 1907. It’s in a delicate condition. This magazine was one of the first magazines created with the sole purpose of making money with advertising. That’s right. The only reason this guy started publishing this magazine was so that he could sell ads and make lots of money. Back then, we just had newspapers in the local areas. This was the first magazine to hit over one million subscribers in the United States alone. In addition to being the earliest, most successful magazine in modern history, this was also home to some of the best advertising.

Since this had a huge subscriber rate, they charged the advertisers a lot more, which means the advertisers had to learn to convert their ad dollars into money in the pocket.

While this specific edition is over 112 years old, you’re going to see that a lot of the common tactics that we use today in internet marketing were employed, like the advertorial scene here. You’ll even see some of the info product tactics we use online as well.

There’s even an ad on how to make money in your spare time. Of course, one of my favorite things I learned in these type of advertisements was how to advertise to people’s base desires.

What kind of desires and needs do they have subconsciously that you can tap into? Instead of selling slippers like most people would, this ad went through and linked these slippers to how people felt about you.

How does your husband perceive you in these slippers? We’re going to find all kinds of cool stuff in these ads as we go through them. Again, make sure you subscribe and click the bell notification.

One of the lessons I want to give you from this video is that this magazine, although made back over a hundred years ago, is very similar to how blogging works today.

You see, this guy came out and said, hey, I’m going to create this magazine for the sole purpose of getting people to view ads, which is exactly what we’re doing with blogging and web marketing, is we’re creating content for people to read so they consume our ads.

We want to learn from both the publisher, the guy who made the magazine in creating good content, and the advertiser and getting more eyeballs on our ads. Because if you pair those together, you can create content that people want to read and advertisements that people want to click on to things they want to buy that puts money in your pocket.

A lot of people over-complicate this stuff, which is why in this new video series here on the channel, we’re going to go through and we’re going to talk about all the basics of advertising that you need to know if you plan on making money online. Today, I’m going to show you exactly how I made over $23,000 in one month from free Facebook group traffic. It’s really easy to get. Anyone can do it, and I’m going to show you how. And we’re starting right now.

All right, now there are several times that I’ve done this with Facebook groups over the past year. I’ve been testing various different methods. One time I made $23,000 in one month. Another time I made close to $80,000 in about a month and a half. And I even have a friend who’s done this to promote a product from ground zero to actually making a lot of money. I think she made almost $70,000 off of Facebook group traffic. Now there’s several ways that you want to od this.

Way number one is no product. This is if you are an affiliate marketer. Method number two is if you have a product. If you already have a product, this is going to work a lot better, it’s going to be a lot easier, but you can still do it with affiliate marketing. Now we’re going to put all these things together and show you exactly how it works. But first, we got to look at how we’re going to get the traffic. Because over here, we have our profit centers. We’re either going to make money with our own product or we’re going to make money with an affiliate offer.

Now we got to talk about how we’re going to get traffic. Traffic is going to come from the Facebook group. Now there’s two ways you can do this. You can either have your own group or use other groups. Now it’s very important to remember that your group is going to be your traffic source. So you’re going to need to find or create a group that has a similar interest to what you want to promote. For example, if you go out there and you find a group of people that are interested in weight loss and they’re all in a Facebook group about some certain type of weight loss or diet or exercise, then you can go into that group and start providing value. The key to making this work is going to be provide value. Provide value to your market. Very important.

Now you might be saying, well what is value, Marcus? Value could be anything from a question to a PDF report to a tip. Something that’s going to get them used to you posting in the group. When you get into these groups, it’s very important that you don’t do spam or junk or post unwanted stuff. Got to make sure we keep it legit, right? So the first step, if you don’t yet have a Facebook group, is going to be to go out there and target other groups in your target market. Get these groups, find out what they’re interested in, look at what’s getting engagement. That’s they key to making Facebook work. If nobody engages with your posts, comments or questions, then noone’s going to care what you have to offer, no matter how good you might think it is. So once you have that list, what you’re going to do is you’re going to start to monitor them. Start to learn about them. And start to answer questions and ask questions of the market. These could be simple questions like what’s your number one struggle about losing weight, or what did you do to lose weight today, or how much weight do you want to lose or maybe even something like what kind of diets have you tried in the past that didn’t work for you?

Get people talking, get them to recognize your name. Then what you can do is you can send these people over to one of two things. You can send them to a website you own with an opt-in page. Say hey, get a free report for losing weight. Or get a free report for how to make money. Or you can start sending them and siphoning them off into your own group. You can start building your own group of people from other groups that like the stuff that you have to post. Very important. I would highly recommend doing the website first. Getting them to opt in for a free gift, and then say, thanks, your free gift’s on the way. Please join my Facebook group so you can get more stuff and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah everything like that. Very cool, this is a very good way to go about this. So we can do this if we do not have our own group. We can start using other groups.

Now if we want to create our own group, we can create our own group very easily and very fast by doing paid traffic, using existing traffic, doing video marketing. Any type of the traffic stuff that I teach here on the channel, which by the way, if you like this stuff, make sure you subscribe and click the bell because I’m going to teach you lots of other stuff as well. Now what you’re doing is you’re building up your group, you’re getting people to opt in, you’re getting people to recognize you. Getting people to say hey, you know what, that Marcus guy has some value. I better listen to what else he has to say. And they’re going to start to watch for your posts, start to watch for your comments. Now another thing you can do, if you don’t have your own group, but you have your own product, is you can actually go to other group owners, people who own Facebook groups, and you can offer to do a free training for their group live and split the commissions with them. I’ve done this many times and it’s made a small fortune.

Now the key here is never to directly, blatantly sell on a Facebook post. Instead, what you want to do is you want to sell on your live training that you’re doing. Get everyone hyped up, bring them to a live training, and then you can just simply read a sales letter or talk to them about the product or do a Q&A or something like that and make it very easy for them to buy. Now when doing your Facebook group marketing, it’s very important to have your own little portfolio of domain names that are easy to type in. These are short domain names with a .com that people will recognize your product from. Very simple, very easy and you want to make it something that they can type in when they’re watching the video so they can go to the site and order whatever it is that you’re selling. Very cool, very easy to do. And this is very easy to do with affiliate marketing, because once you have your own domain, you can hop on a live or a training or something like that and you can talk about the product, lead them to your domain, which will redirect to your affiliate link and boom, you get paid.

Now these Facebook groups are really cool because Facebook is actually helping promote them because they want to get more engagement and they found that groups are a way to get more engagement and more people using the platform. So you will be rewarded for actually joining in on the conversation and starting your own conversation which is really, really cool. Now another little last minute tip I want to give you about Facebook marketing is something really simple that anyone can do. You see, on the internet with affiliate marketing, there are little toolbars and little pay-per-call programs you can promote. You can actually get paid when people download stuff or when people call a phone number. A lot of people know that I am five years sober, a couple days ago I hit five years. And I’m a part of a lot of sobriety Facebook groups because I like that kind of stuff. And I notice that there’s this one group where this guy posts pictures and quotes and different things like that with a phone number to a rehab lead affiliate offer. Which means he actually gets paid when people use that affiliate program.

Now there’s a lot of stuff in the addiction market. You might want to stay away from it, but there’s other things you can do as well. For example, let’s say there’s a group of a bunch of people that like to read the Bible and discuss the Bible. You can go out there and post Bible quotes and post your URL, which would be a redirect, to an affiliate offer which actually sends them to a Bible toolbar download that pays you like $2.50 every time they download it. Just imagine if you can get 50, 100, 200 people a day to download that toolbar, you’re going to be making some serious money. Really, really cool. Okay, cool, cool. And how do we do that? What’s the first thing we need to do?

Information.

Okay, so we got to gather information, obviously we want to know who’s on our sites, right? And what about next? What do we want to do after we get that information?

Provocation.

Okay, cool. So we want to provoke these people to click on our ads so we can get paid. Okay, cool. And number three, what would we want to do?

Interaction.

Ah, yeah. That’s a good one, Cajun Man. We want to make sure that people interact and click on the things that we’re putting in front of them. Cool, cool, all right. Then, once they start interacting, what do we want to do?

Evaluation.

Ah, that’s a good one. We want to evaluate what people are clicking on. Cajun Man, you’re a genius. Yeah, great. Now, what’s next? Is there a better one too? Another one?

Personalization.

Ah, we want to personalize it. Okay, so we want to make sure that everything seems like it’s just for that one visitor so that they click and we get paid. All right, Cajun Man. Those are the five monetization tips. Now, is there an extra one that we can go over in detail in the rest of this video?

Repetition.

Ah, that’s right. Like making our mailing list and stuff like that. Getting people back to our site. This is really good stuff, Cajun Man. Right, that’s good, because if these people want to learn how to make money with their blogs and stop settling for pennies a visitor, we’ve got to show them. Hey, guys. It’s Marcus here, AKA the Affiliate Marketing Dude, and today we’re going to go over the Cajun Man’s six tips to making more money with your blog. This is going to show you how to put high paying ads on your blog that actually convert and make you money so that you don’t have to settle for the one to two cents person viewer that the average blogger out there gets. Which is terrible. If I had to live on one to two cents a visitor, I’d be broke. Not fun. So, let’s talk about how to monetize your traffic and let’s start right now with some good things you can do right away to get results.

First of all, what you want to do is you want to look at the information and find out where your visitors are coming from, what they’re clicking on, what pages they’re on, what they’re interested in so you can help them. The most important thing you’re going to look at is what they’re doing right now because you want to do more of what’s working and less of what’s not working. So you want to take what’s working, like if you have a banner ad that’s working, use that information and say, hey, you know what? Maybe I can make that better. Maybe I could position it different, put it at the top or the bottom or embedded in the content or something like that to where it’s going to get more visibility and get more people to click on it, because let’s face it, the more people clicking on your ads and offers, the more money you’re going to make.

This is also important if you’re doing stuff like content network or sponsored ads on your blog. You want to make sure that they are getting the clicks so that you’re making more on your traffic. Because obviously if you get 100 people in one clicks versus 10 clicking, you’re going to make 10 times the money, right? Pretty, pretty simple. Not rocket science, but a lot of people forget this stuff.

So, information is crucial. You’ve got to find out where your people are coming form. You can do this in your stats. If you have a web host, you can do this with stats there. You could do it with Google Analytics. You could do it with various blog plug-ins. Very easy, but you want to make sure that you know where the people are coming in, where the people are leaving, how far they’re scrolling, what they’re checking out, what they’re interested in, so that you can do more of that and figure it out and be like, hey this page is getting a lot of traffic, let’s switch this up a bit to get more people to click.

Now number two once you figure out where the traffic’s coming from, you want to figure out how you can provoke them to click. If someone’s coming from Google, searching for affiliate marketing on YouTube, then I would want to change my content to fit what they want. Maybe I’d offer them a paid course about that topic, or maybe they’re coming in looking for a cat food recipes, right? Maybe I have a cat blog and I find out most people are coming from cat food recipes. Then, what I want to do is find a really good ad, really good offer for the cat food recipes, position it at the top, use the language that they’re using to search for me, right?

Remember the key word is the first thing they’re going to see on the page. If they type in cat food recipes, they come to your site and they see cat food recipes, if it’s blue and underlines, they’re probably going to click it, right? Pretty basic. A lot of people forge this stuff, but it’s very, very basic and it works really, really well. So we want to provoke them to click. Also, some things we can do is provoke them to click by giving them options. Would you like to make 10,000 dollars or 1,000 dollars? Would you like to get the blue one or the green one? What’s your favorite tattoo design? Different things like that to get more interaction by provoking them.

Which brings us to number three, which is interaction. Now, what can you do on your site that’s going to be interactive? One of my favorite things to do on my sites is to have a dropdown menu. This would be a simple menu that says, hey, how much weight do you want to lose? 50, 5, 100 pounds, okay? Now, what this can do is two things. One, it’s going to get people to interact. I find that on my sites when I use dropdown boxes, if they’re done correctly, I can get like 90%, 99% of the visitors on my site to click that dropdown box. Then, that’s like most of the people going to the offer, which is insane, right? That’s going to throw your money through the roof in a really cool way and a lot of people, you know, they just put banner ads. That’s why they don’t make a lot of money.

You can do this, you can also do what we call the grid method. The grid method is where you have several different pictures with writing under them, right? So maybe I’d have a picture here that says, hey, what kind of car do you dream about driving or what type of body style do you want? Like, if someone;s looking to lose weight you could have someone who’s average, someone who’s a little overweight, or someone who’s totally skinny, and it’s like which body do you want? Okay, very simple. Or are you male or female? Boom, very simple. This is going to get them to interact.

You can have quizzes. You can have checklists. You can have dropdown boxes. You can have all kinds of things, little interactive stuff, that’s going to get them to click. Again, remember once a person’s on your site, that’s just half the battle. That’s why so many people are making like one to two cents a view. They’re not taking the next step. They’re not getting them into what we want them to do and this is extremely important. I’ve tested this on hundreds of millions of visitors, billions of advertisements, where we go through and we found out hey, this is what works. This is what people are clicking on.

Then of course, you want to look at that and number four, you want to evaluate your traffic. What are they doing, right? If most people are clicking on this one, then hey, I’m going to move that up here and move the ones that’s not getting clicked down here. Okay? If I have a dropdown box, let’s look at it. Let’s track it. Let’s see, hey, how much weight do they want to lose? Then, when I go through and I make a banner ad or a clickable link, I could say if you want to lose 100 pounds or more, click here. I already know they want to lose 100 pounds or more because I used the dropdown box. Very important stuff that’s very, very simple.

The key to marketing is to let your visitors decide your content, okay? I don’t ame content just because I like it, although I do like the Cajun Man, from Adam Sandler, right? I make content because this is a content that you tell me that you want. You tell me you want it by clicking on it. I look at what you click on in the emails, I look at the videos you click on my site, I look at the various options I give you and I put that in front of you in a very simple way. If you do this on your sites, you are going to see your earnings go through the roof.

If you’re doing affiliate marketing, if you’re selling your own products, this works with everything and you want to evaluate and say, what’s going on? What are people doing? What are they clicking? This is extremely important because so many people just put ads on a site and hope it works, and if they make five bucks they’re like, I guess that’s all I can make. I never do that. That is the worst way to market in the world.

You want to go through and you want to look at the stuff, interact with your market, evaluate your market, and number five, is personalization. Is there a way that you can personalize your message for your people? Can you typecast your audience and say these people want this and make it sound like you’re talking directly to them. Very important. This is why sales letters work. Dear friend, are you frustrated going to work every day and sweating like crazy to make a few dollars? Here’s a solution. Are you tired of going to the gym every morning and not losing a pound? Here’s the solution. Right? These are kind of things that you can personalize so it looks like you’re talking directly to the one person that you want to talk to, and this is extremely important when you’re doing your blogs.

Personalization is a big one. Sometimes you can even use the person’s name. Sometimes you can do all kinds of things. One of the sites that we did that did really well was we personalized, we had someone put their name in the box to generate a glitter graphic of their name and then we said download the glitter graphic. We made hundreds of thousands of dollars on that one little tactic with a little two page site because it was based on exactly what the visitor wanted, it customized it, it was interactive, it made it personal, and we made lots of money with it, in a market where most people are making less than a penny a click. This is a market no one else wanted to touch, but it worked because we used these things.

And then lastly, we want to talk about repetition. How can I get visitors to come to my site, put their name and email in, and get them back to my stuff? How can I get subscribers on social media platforms to come back to my stuff to watch for it? How can I get visitors of my blog to come back to my blog and look at it? Repetition is going to be the key if you’re selling something and you’ve got to look at it and say every time that person comes back to my site, I need to do all six of these in conjunction so that I’m getting them where I want them to go so I’m making a lot of money. This is the kind of stuff where this is going to be the difference between profit and failure. This is going to be the difference between two cents a click and a dollar a click or two dollars a click or more.

Using these methods, I’ve seen records where I’ve gone in and I’ve had sites that do 18 dollars a click. Wasn’t a whole lot of traffic to it, but still, like 50, 60 grand for a couple hundred clicks or so isn’t too bad. Right? So, got to look at this and we got to focus and we’ve got to be deliberate about our sites. We can’t just put an ad there and hope it works. We have to listen. We’ve got to put our ear to the ground and say what are these people clicking on? What are they doing? How can I get them in there?
