Hey Marcus, what’s Google AdWords and why do you have this big cheque for $1.4 million dollars made out to them?

Marcus:                First of all, disclaimer, that’s not a real cheque. Second of all, I did spend close to $1.5 million dollars advertising my businesses, affiliate products and other things on the Google AdWords platform and in this short little video, we’re going to talk to you about what AdWords is, how to get started with AdWords, what the content network is, what’s the difference between AdWords and AdSense and how you could get started using AdWords to promote your business, products, service or market yourself as an affiliate marketer and we’re starting right now.

Today, what we’re gonna do is talk to you about what Google AdWords is, how you can use it in your business or with affiliate marketing to actually turn a profit online and we’re gonna go deep into what makes this work and why it works. Right now let’s dive right in and let’s talk about what Google AdWords is.

Now, if you were to go to Google right now and you did a search on Google. Let’s say we’re gonna do one for one I’m ranking for, Cartre Bonus, that’s for a product that I’ve been promoting lately that helps marketers manage all their stuff. So if you do a search for Cartre Bonus, you’re gonna see the following results. You’ll notice up at the top there’s one of my listings for affiliate marketing dude that has a little green ad box by it. That means it’s an ad and I’m actually paying for that listing. Now that is ran through the Google AdWords platform. What you do is you go to Google AdWords, you sign up for an account and you can actually bid on keywords or phrases or different types of interests and show up when people search. Now if we scroll down the page a little bit more, you’re going to see a ranking that doesn’t say ad, that’s also from my affiliatemarketingdude.com website.

Now the difference between the two is one is called SEO or free traffic, and the other is paid traffic. Now the reason everyone doesn’t just go for free traffic is sometimes it’s very difficult to get for various word you’re after and maybe sometimes you wanna be higher up on the results as well. So what we have is Google AdWords. Now Google AdWords is like a big marketplace for all the keywords that are searched for on Google and as we know, Google is searched over 4 million times a minute. That’s like 65,000 times a second, that’s a lot of searches. So we got a lot of people searching things on Google every minute and as a business owner, you can literally put yourself in front of whoever you want whose searching Google. Now there’s several things you’ll wanna notice and several things you’ll wanna take a look at.

First of all, we have to look at our keywords. Now behind the scene of our keywords, you’re gonna notice that there is a thing called the Google AdWords Keyword Planner. That’s a lot to say. The Google AdWords Keyword Planner is going to show you what keywords people search for and how many times a month they are searched for. So you might have 30,000 people a month searching for affiliate marketing or 100,000 people a month searching for make money online or maybe there’s 500 people a month in your local area, which is called geo-targeting, that are searching for a real estate agent or a lawyer or a car dealer or something like that. Okay so, first and foremost, we wanna look at our keyword, okay. Very, very, very important. You can, again, go to the Google AdWords Keyword Planner. The next thing we wanna look at is the location, okay? Location. So you can geo-target these and say, “Hey, I only want people in the United States of America,” or “I only want people in Thailand,” or “I only want people in Winter Springs, Florida, where Marcus lives.” Right?

So we have all that stuff there. You wanna look at location. Now when you pair the keyword with the location, you can literally drill down to your perfect prospect. So if you’re a realtor in Winter Springs, Florida, boom, you can get just those people. Your ad will only show when those people in Winter Springs, Florida search for realtor or homes for sale or something like that. Very cool. So we have keyword, we have location then we have what’s called match type. Now this is very important and a lot of people don’t really look at this. Match type is how do you want your keyword to trigger the ad. All right, ’cause obviously if I go bid on something like the word coupon, that’s really broad, we don’t know what people want. Now I can do something like glasses coupon or eye doctor coupon or maybe some other kind of coupon in my area and I can do different types.

So we have broad match, which would be like coupon download. Okay, let’s say we do coupon download. Now that would trigger anything. Now this is gonna trigger coupon, download, download coupon, how to download coupon. I need to download coupon, coupons for download, anything that has the word coupon and download in it. Doesn’t matter the order or anything like that, boom, you’re gonna trigger under broad match. Next, we have what is called exact match and it’s in these little brackets here, okay. If I do an exact match for coupon download, mkay, that means that these people have to search coupon download. That’s it, that’s all you get, just coupon download. Boom. That’s it. Now if I do what’s called a phrase match, that’s in quotes, phrase match, okay. That is the word coupon download, exactly like that but could also have other things in it, right? So if I do house prices as phrase match, it’s gonna come up with house prices in our area, house prices 2018, 2019 house prices predictions, right?

So it’s gonna have everything but it’s gotta have the phrase match exactly in it like that. Okay, so these are some of the different match types you have. So, first of all, we have the keyword. Again, we look at the Google Keyword Planner. Next, we have location, which we do by geo-targeting, you just tell Google, “Hey, where do I want people to see my ad?” Very important, especially with affiliate marketing because some of the things don’t pay you for customers that are in certain areas so very important. And then we have the match type, which is also going to allow you to drill down and find your perfect customer and then, on top of all this, we look at the fact that Google makes it really easy to see your stats and control everything you’re doing. See this is how it works. When you go to set up an ad, obviously, you want your ad to match the keyword, okay.

So if I’m doing realtor in Winter Springs, I’m gonna go through and I’m gonna make my ad say, “Winter Springs realtor” Mkay and then I could say something like, “over two million in sales last month.” Or you could do something like, “Guaranteed to sell or you don’t pay.” Or something like that, mkay, that would be our ad. Next, we have what’s called our URL, okay. Our URL is what is our domain name? So it’d be like, for me, it would be affiliatemarketingdude.com. So it’d be affiliatemarketingdude.com, that would be our URL, and then we have our target link. This is where they’re going to go to. This allows you for tracking and stuff like that or to test different pages, right? So I could say my URL is affiliatemarketingdude.com but the target link is affiliatemarketingdude.com/ga54 for Google AdWords campaign 54 or whatever, right, that way I can track it and stuff like that and send some to your page.

Okay so, really cool. Now we look at that and we get control. So, first of all, you control the keyword. Second of all, you control the location. Third of all, you control the match type. Fourth, we control what our ad says. So if you go in there and you have a product that’s $1000 and you don’t want people that don’t have $1000, you say, “Hey, x product, $1000.” Boom, done deal, really easy, right? You’re gonna weed out all the people. And that’s the whole idea of using keyword and pay-per-search or pay-per-click search, is to weed out the customers you don’t want and focus on the ones that you do.

Marcus:                Dude, Marcus, that’s insane. So all this money you sent on Google AdWords, you actually drilled down and got your perfect customer and made a huge profit on your investment?

That’s right and it gets even better because not only do you control the keyword, the location, the match type and your ad, but you also control the amount you pay. Now what you’re gonna see in the Google AdWords Keyword Planner is a suggested bid amount. You might look at something like Winter Springs realtor and it might say, “Hey, you know what? Our suggested bid is between 75 cents and four dollars.” Okay, now what this is, is this is called pay-per-click. Your ad is shown, it’s shown free, doesn’t cost anything to show your ad. You only pay when someone clicks on the ad and goes to your site. Very easy, right? So it’s like I only pay for people who visit my site. Now what they do on your site is up to you once you pay for the click, that’s it, you’ve paid for the click, right, very simple. Now once they get to your site, you can go through and sell them stuff and everything like that.

Now here’s where it gets really cool because I can actually go through and I can tell Google I only want to pay a certain amount per day. This is called your daily ad budget. On your daily ad budget, you can go through and say, “You know what Google, I only wanna pay $20 a day, okay.” You’re like, “I only wanna pay $20 a day.” So if you’re paying a dollar per click, you’re only gonna get twenty clicks a day, which maybe in your business might be enough to generate some income, all right, and maybe some others you need more. But if you get those twenty people a day, at the end of your twenty clicks, Google’s gonna pause your ad and then it’ll start over the next day. Now, in addition to this, we also get pretty much instant reporting, which means if someone clicks right now, I go into my account and I see hey, costs me a dollar, I spent a dollar, I got a click. Here’s the keyword they clicked on, here’s the page they went to. Pretty easy, right?

And then I can go through it and say, “Well, you know, this isn’t working the way I want. I’m gonna pause the ad.” Or, if the ad’s working really good, I could go through and say, “Well, I wanna spend $120 a day.” And boom, there we go, right? So we have full control over everything we do and we can accelerate, we can pause our ads, we can generate this stuff and we can make everything work the way we want and we have 100 percent control over what we do. Now, a little bit of disclaimers here. One, you never want to promote an affiliate product directly on Google AdWords. They don’t really care for that too much. What you wanna do instead is promote yourself or your website as the commodity in your market. That way when people come to you, they can join your mailing list, they can check out the stuff that you have on your site, they could read the information, they could watch the videos, whatever it is you have for them, they’re gonna look at that and say, “Hey, this is really good information, I like this guy, I trust this guy, I wanna learn more about what he has to offer.”

So very, very, very cool. Now, using Google AdWords as a great way to build a mailing list. It’s a great way to sell products, it’s a great way to build your brand, it’s a great way to get the word out about products or perhaps your services, if you’re a realtor or something like that. It’s a very good way to get out there and be seen because literally when you have 4 million people every 60 seconds searching Google, I guarantee people are out there searching for what you have to offer and if they are, put yourself in front of it. Start building your mailing list. Another thing to notice is that Google AdWords is kind of like a bidding war, the more advertisers you have, generally, the higher the price per click goes. So if you have a ton of advertisers, the price is gonna go really high.

If you have low advertisers or zero advertisers, the price is gonna be really low. In some cases, I’m able to get traffic for two to four cents per click, which is really cool in some markets and then in some markets you wanna check out other ways of doing it. Now, before I let you go, there’s a couple of other things you want to know. First of all, is what we called the Google Content Network. Now the Google Content Network runs exactly like Google AdWords, it’s actually in your Google AdWords in your keyword. What it is, is a little check box. Now, if you click the check box for the Content Network what that means is not only are you gonna show up on Google, but you’re also gonna show up on some other search engines and you’re gonna show up on websites that have the Google AdSense code on them.

So if there’s big websites in your market, perhaps you’re in recipes and you go and you get some traffic for recipes, you’re also gonna be on the top recipe sites that use AdWords and your ad will be shown there as well. Now, often, this is very, very less expensive click and I’ve actually gotten millions and millions and millions of visitors. Very, very inexpensive using the Content Network. It’s a lot like banner advertising but it goes through the Google Network and it goes through keywords and everything like that so it’s really cool. And then of course, the last thing you’ll want to notice here is Google AdSense. Now, Google AdSense, as we mentioned, is the content network, it’s the exact opposite of Google AdWords.

Google AdWords is where you’re paying for traffic, Google AdSense is where you get paid for traffic as a website content owner. But first, let’s talk about something extremely important. No one has ever been paid just to blog, unless they have a job for like two bucks an hour. Instead, you are paid to generate an audience. That’s right. You need to get people to see your blog by talking about relevant topics. So, what it looks like is this. You set out and you find something that people are interested in. Now a lot of people are gonna tell you to blog about your passion, or blog about something you’re interested in, or anything a like that, and that is good, but you also have to be blogging about things people are actually interested in. So if I’m interested in something that no one else in the world cares about, I’m not gonna make any money blogging, so it’s gotta be something very relevant. You can use the Google AdWords key word planner tool to find out what people are searching for every single day. Because the fact of the matter is that over four million people every 60 seconds search Google. That’s four million different searches every minute online. That’s a lot of people, and that’s a lot of people that you can get to your blog.

Now remember, I told you that no one’s every paid just to write, unless they have a job, which probably isn’t what you’re looking for, and even if it was, the amount you’re gonna get paid is very low. So if you’re looking to be a blogger from the comfort of your own home, and you wanna make money with this, you need to generate an audience. You are going to be paid in direct proportion to the value of your audience. Very easy, right? So if you got a bunch of people here and they’re looking at different things on Google, and they wanna learn about a topic. Say for example you’re really interested in these things, whatever it is. It’s actually a sous vide cooking machine. You put it in water, and then you put your food in the water, and it cooks the food. It’s very popular online. Actually thousands of people search for sous vide recipes every single day.

So let’s say you are interested in these sous vide machines. Sous vide. And you wanna make a blog about these sous vide machines, and you start to make a blog about sous vide recipes, and sous vide times, and sous vide temperatures, and sous vide pork, and sous vide steak, and sous vide fish, and sous vide vegetables, and anything else you can sous vide. And people are really interested in this stuff, and there’s actually lots of people that have blogs about this particular topic. What happens is you start to write about this topic, and you get a following, and people start to say, “Hey, that guy’s really cool. He talks about how to cook these things using this machine that I happen to be interested in.” Now what?

Now you got all these people coming to your blog, right. There’s all these people, and they are coming to your blog, and they are reading your stuff, and they are watching your videos, if you have videos, and all these people are coming in here. And remember, how I said, it’s all about the audience. Right, this is all about audience, and it’s all about influence. Can you get your audience to do something? Can you get them to do something? Perhaps we can get them to use a different pen, right. Can you get your audience to do something here like this? If you can get them to so something, then you can make money. For example, perhaps you can get them to download a recipe toolbar. All right, recipe toolbars are really cool, and there’s little recipe programs and downloads and things like that that you can give away on your site, and sometimes I’ve been paid as much as $3 per download. That means I don’t even have to sell anything. They just download the recipe toolbar, and I make money. Now, if you wanna make $500 a day, then all you gotta do is get about 150, 175 people to download that, and boom, you’re off to the races.

Now there’s other ways of making money with your blog, as well. For example, if you’re in that sous vide niche, you can actually find sous vide affiliate programs. Yep, that means you can actually sell the sous vide on your site, and get paid a commission when people buy it.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. So do I actually have to buy these things and ship them out to customers?

No, no, no. With affiliate marketing it’s actually a lot easier. You simply go to one of your favorite websites that offers affiliate marketing. Some of them are Amazon, Best Buy, Staples, Home Depot, and thousands of others. Actually, probably millions. You sign-up, you get a custom link that goes to your product. You paste that link on your website. When people click that link, and go to the vendor’s website, either enter their information in a form, download something, call a number, or even buy something, bam, you get paid.

Now make sure that you have a good affiliate disclaimer that tells your visitors that you are an affiliate of the product, that way they don’t think it’s an unbiased review, because you’re actually getting paid to do these reviews in a roundabout way, so make sure you have that as well. It’s actually pretty easy, and you can get those with the affiliate marketing toolbar at AffiliateMarketingDude.com.

Now, because these machines are so expensive, you can actually get anywhere from … Let’s say the machine is $200 like I paid for mine … you could get like anywhere from 10% or more to sell the sous vide machine. That’s like $20 each. You sell a couple of those every day, and boom, you’re off to the races.

Now, you can also do what is known as Google AdSense. Google AdSense is a great way to monetize your audience, because all you have to do is stick ads on your blog, and boom, you get a check when people click on the ads. What could be easier then that?

Now there’s other things you can do, as well, like making a mailing list, creating a YouTube channel around your blog. All kinds of different things that can pay you money. Now the name of the game is being able to get lots of people to view your content. And the way to get lots of people to view your content is actually pretty easy. All you have to do is go down the line of what people are searching for. In the beginning, I talked about how people look up sous vide recipes, sous vide cooking times, sous vide this, sous vide that, sous vide vegetables, and literally everything. All you have to do is focus on the people that want things in your various niche.

Now keep in mind, this is just one niche, and you may have never even heard of it until today. There are millions and millions of niches just like this that you can get started with and blogging, and get traffic extremely easy. All you have to do is write about what people are searching for, link them to things that make you money, build a mailing list so you can follow up with people for even more profits, and bam, you’re off to the races, and you can actually make money blogging in a really easy way.

Now the cool part about this is blogs are extremely easy to set up and manage. You can literally set up a blog in about five minutes. But, it’s very, very easy to do, and we’re gonna talk to you about how to do that, and all you have to do is focus on what people are searching for, blog about what they want, send them to things that pay you money, and boom, you’re off to the races making money blogging.

What Does It Take To Start And Run An Online Business- How To Start An Online Business In One Week

How do you start a profitable business? This is something that a lot of people don’t talk about or look at, but it is very important. Years ago, back in 1999 when I started my first online business and I was like “Okay, well how do I get started? I remembered I started with a new bank account. What we’re going to do is that we’re going to break it down for you and show you how to start, start-finish, and how to make this work for you so you can start turning a profit.

Where do all these things fit in because I know that a lot of people have info- overload when it comes to “what do I do? Do I get a domain name? Do I get a web hosting? How many domain names do I need? How much web hosting do I need? Do I need a shopping cart? Do I need a way to collect payment, how do I get paid? Right here, we’re going to break this down for you in a really cool way so that you can dive in and understand what’s going on.

This article is designed to give you one thing, and that is clarity. We want to give you a crystal-clear clarity. We want to take you away from info overload. We want to take you away from the struggle of not knowing what you’re doing and get you to the promised land of being able to run a profitable business. So let’s get started right now.

What we’re going to do here is that we want to take and look at our people right here,

This is our guy and this might be you and you’re like,” Marcus, I want to make money online.” You’ve heard that there are many ways to make money on the internet and you don’t have to work your jaws. You want to be an affiliate marketer or an internet business owner and you want to be over there enjoying life.

You’re here, with all the questions of “how do I start and run an internet profit business because I want to be like marc”. I want to sit down by the beach side with my laptop and chill out with family. I want to be able to take vacations whenever I want, do what I want while my internet business is making money all the time.

Now, I’m going to tell you, I’ve been doing this for almost 20 years now. Results are not typically guaranteed or implied, but what we’re going to do is we’re going to show you how this works. So, let’s get back to you our guy.

And this is our guy, he’s like “Marcus, I want to make money online, what do I do?”

What I want you to do right now is I want you to think about that number one question you have about how to make money online. Some of the common questions from people include:

• How do I get Targeted Phrases?
• How do I set up a blog?
• How do I start on a budget?
• How do I get traffic?
• I want to know the best offers and how to make them converts too
• How big should a market be?
• How do I get ads?

My goal is to guide all your questions. I remembered an old friend of mine who said, “Marc, you know what I love about you? You don’t answer the questions that I ask you, you answer the questions I should have asked you.” And that’s what’s important.

What Is The Basis Of Online Business?

First and foremost, we want to take a look at the basis. What is the basis? What I like to do is to start some kind of offer (some store).

Doing Business As (DBA)

When I first started, it was what was known as a DBA (Doing Business As). Basically, it’s like, I’m Marcus Campbell, but I’m doing business as Bob’s consulting or Marcus consulting. ‘Doing Business As’ allows you to take a check and set up merchant accounts under your business name instead of your personal name. DBA cost me $31(that was in 1999, perhaps things has changed). Now you can do this stuff online, it’s very easy. We’re going to go over a lot of stuff today. So what I will do at the end of this article is to make a note cheat with links to everything.

Incorporating

Alternatively, you can also do an incorporating. I find it easier to be an LLC than to be like an actual Inc. for tax purposes. I made huge mistakes back in 2006, my accountant was like “hey you need to do an Inc, it’d save you bunch of taxes”.

But what people don’t realize is that accountants are not business people. Sure, accountants are great, but they don’t understand the day to day of the business. So, she was like, the way inc. works, you pay taxes based on like, your best months and it’s automatic. What if we had a bad month? Well, you still pay your taxes like you had a good month. And I was like, that’s going to kill my cash flow if I have a bad month or good month or whatever.

So, it messes things up. So for me, I’m not a big fan of Inc. as opposed to LLC. I believe you can get an LLC for about $199. I’m not a lawyer or an accountant, but from what my little knowledge teaches me LLC has a buffer so you’re not personally responsible as you would be. But of course, don’t be foolish, do things, research stuff. If you’re worried about your market or legality, its best to seek advice, do some research, and figure it out.

Now, that’s the basis of business. You can start with your own name. I’d recommend at least, DBA. That way, you can take checks in your company name.

Get A Matching Domain

What I did is I got a generic domain, back when I started in 1999. I think I actually bought the domain in March of the year 2000. Till today, it is still our support site with PCmoneymaking.com. I got everything under that. I’ve got my DBA, LLC, and then I got my domain name, and everything was matching and I was like, here is my business.

Now, this isn’t necessarily your niche business but this is like your mentor. You can put everything on it. You can tell people to go get a support there. You can use it to host your order forms like I do. It’s very easy.

Now, if you understand this, everything else will get easier for you. If you’re new and you want to set up a site, you can go to gohubsite.com and set up your hub site. Make sure to set it up with the business in mind and what you want to do. Just get something that works for you, like pcmoneymaking.com. I actually came up with that name because when I sold computers.  Some guys came in and they’re like, “we‘re selling legal forms” (I call it PC legal forms). This was the first time I ever heard of making money online and this guy was like, “I used to be a lawyer and I have all these legal forms and I sell them online for 27 bucks. Then I set up a site back in 1999 and I sell this legal forms and makes like 300 bucks in a day. This means that I sell 10 in a day. Then I decided to get into internet marketing and use the site Pcmoneymaking.com. Once you set up your domain, then you’re ready! You’re now in business.

What Does It Take To Start And Run An Online Business?

Set up your shop

Your shop is your business name, your domain, bank account, P.O.Box, an LLC or DBA.

And if you’re really fancy, you can get T-shirts too.

Have A Niche Site Domain

This is one of the most important parts (this is just like having a mentor). I have over 600, or even more niche site domains under PCmoneymaking

Find Your Audience

The next most important thing that you need once you do that is to find your audience.

So this is your audience right there, above. Now, you’re like, now what Marcus? Do I need to find my audience on my market?

When it comes to finding your audience in your market, some marketers will tell you to go for something that you know a lot about, understand and have experience in. Well, that does work and that’s okay. But what I find is that it is difficult because everyone else is doing the same thing. What I like to do is to find something after beating the path that’s like “can I get people who are looking for a spreadsheet? “ So we should find out who this audience is, and what they want.

At this point, you probably already set up your hub site. If you didn’t, you’ll go to gohubsite.com and you can do that. Okay, we want to find our audience and find our market and then we’d go over to Google Adwords tool and we find out that a thousand people are searching for this.

So let’s get an actual example here, (I’m using the Google Adword keyword planner), as shown here

So when I get to the keyword planner, I can type my keyword. For example, “debt spreadsheet”. And then it shows me how many times people search for stuff and what’s going on there.

Okay, now if you get this and you want to isolate, we can actually go to the “footer” and type our keyword “Debt spreadsheet” and then it just shows words including “debts spreadsheet”.

Now we have this people here searching for “debt spreadsheet”.

Can you think about what these people would want? Like what they’d really be interested in. Maybe they’d want to be debt free. Okay, so this is how  my mind works( hopefully you can do the same thing): When I think of this, I start to think of, “Okay, I’ve got like Dave Ramsey, and all these debt gurus and the last time I checked, they’re doing pretty good in this market. So that tells me, even though it is a silly little keyword when you’re looking for a spreadsheet for free, these people spend money and it’s a huge market. So, we see that they want to be:

Debt free

Pay off debt

Budget

Low credit rates

So, we want to get an idea of what they want. First of all, obviously, they want a spreadsheet. There you go! Second of all, they want a spreadsheet to do something. They don’t just want the spreadsheet for the spreadsheet; they want it because of what it’s going to do for them. And you always want to sell for what it’s going to do for them. With all the things typed into these, what can we offer the people? We can go through and take a look at these offers. Okay here is our offer

Now let’s say we do, “credit card offers”, low-interest credit card”, debt consolidation services”. Once we decide, the next we’re going to do is to get our domain name. I often buy my domains at Namecheap. So what I’ll do is to find something as close to “debt pay off spreadsheet”. So I can get debtpayoffspreadsheet.net.

So, here we go, Debtpayoffspreadsheet.net is our domain. So we just set up our site according to how simplesitebigprofit.com teaches us. You can go to simplesitebigprofit.com, get that course and do everything. It’s really easy. Okay, so now that we got debtpayoffspreasheet.net, we want to talk about what kind of things do we set up? We can now set up like a blog, website, and squeeze page. So we’d visualize it and be like, “I’ve got that debtpayoffspreadsheet.net and now what, how does this work, where do I go?”

Well, of course, the ideas are, we’re going to drive this person from “debt spreadsheet” into our website. Maybe they run Youtube, Google, Facebook, whatever they run. They search Google, they see our ad or link, clicked it and then they come here. So now, what? What I’d do is to put like a little video or an article and be like..

And I’d say something like “Download the spreadsheet here so you can pay off your debt”. We also add a button where they can add their name, email, and add the submit button.

After that, then we can add another page that says, “Hey thank you for joining my mailing list”. So, what you can do here is to decide what you’re going to do with your market. In this market, it might be a good idea to have a membership site. Because, imagine, all these people want to pay off their debts and do stuff. You can be like, “hey, check it out, for only $27 a month, you can join our debt club, get all the spreadsheet you want, plus training, plus free tools on how to lower your debt, and so on.”

You can also go through and just add like affiliate offers on that. I know people that have membership sites, and literally, all they do is to interview people and put it on their site. And that’s ridiculously easy! So, we have the page, offers, and everything set up, what’s next?

Two very-Important day-to-day activities that Makes me Money Every day

Now Another thing we want to look at which is one of the most important days to day activities that I do.

Income

The first thing that I do on a day to day basis is that I do my income. A lot of people are like, “Marcus, I’m doing things, but I’m not making money”. So, I’d break it down like this, what are the two things Marcus spends his day on?

So the first that I do on a daily basis (which is very important) is to communicate with my market. So, let’s say today, you got 100 visitors to your site, let’s say 40 put their name and email in the box. Then communicate with them. You can send them a mail, an offer, a page. So here we go, that’s a proactive thing I can do every day to make some money.

Create Content

The second thing I do is to create content. Now can you be here reading this if I didn’t create a content on my site? If I do not have content, you cannot be here. The content can be anything. It can be a video, an article, or literary anything.

Now the content needs to be repurposed for everything. You can place on Google, YouTube, or anywhere your people can reach you. For example, I have so much content on my YouTube Channel, on my site, and everywhere. And that is a Membership Site. Think about that for a moment, people will pay for the content, organize it in a different way. Content is not king, content structured correctly is king.

If content was king then everyone would be rich because anyone can create content. So content is not that big deal, you have to make it structured correctly. You can have it on a sales site, or a membership site. Now, one of the cool things I like now, because back in the year 2000 when I started my business, you have to use the shopping cart things that were a pain in the bud, the coding, and you have to understand all these stuff.

Making an order form was a pain in the bud and to actually link it to a merchant account was a pain in the bud. But now, I can set up this offers and I can literally drive them as an order form.

And it is extremely fast. I remembered a couple of weeks ago, I was dragging my heels and I’m like okay I need to get a merchant account. And I called my merchant account lady and she didn’t get back to me that fast. So, I was like, “what if I could set this up. So I literarily went in 30 seconds, got an account with one of the top online merchant account places. I set it up with the software and boom! Had an order form! I mean, I was in business in less than five minutes.

Now think about that for a minute, like “Okay, I’m in business in 5 minutes, so like if I could create content, repurpose content and structure things, I can be in business, now!” There are people out there making tons of money with businesses that are using other people’s contents. Now, I’m not saying you should go copy other people’s content, what I’m saying is gathering from the content. For example, there is a business out there that gives summaries of books and they make a fortune.

What I want to talk to you is based on the fact that this is now 2018. You don’t have the struggles I had, you have tools that all work.  If you work hard you can set up a business in 5 minutes. Now, there are lots of things you need that run your business on a daily basis. Below are some of the things that I use for my business. I spend quite a bit of money on tools because I like to have the tools. The right marketing with the right tools will help you a lot. I literarily spend an average month, 3-4,000 dollars for other tools that I use. So these are the things I use:

Autoresponder With Metrics And Prewritten Copy

My autoresponder does not have a prewritten copy. I have to write my own emails. If I had prewritten copy (like the new ones do now) then I’d be really cool. But I spend probably around $275 in a month. Actually, if it includes my pop up thing, we’d be probably looking around $500- So around $500 for the whole deal.

Landing Page Creation Tools With High Converting

Now, for my landing page converting tools, I probably spend about $200/month. You’re going to have an order forms set up if you’re going to have a membership site. It’s going to be a way for them to buy, login, and everything like that. You’re going to have these things and they work pretty well.

Again, I’m not telling you this because you need to buy all these stuff, you do not.

Order Form Set Up For Result

My order forms were a pain in the bud to make; it’s not a drag and drop. Now I pay anywhere from 99-$1000/month for my order form type software and that’s cool. I don’t mind paying it because I’m making a lot more than that. That’s what business is, making more than what it actually cost.

Helpdesk With Live Chat

I pay $27 in a month and I pay $399 in a year for my helpdesk.

Video Hosting

Currently, my videos are watched online and I pay like $90 in a month for my private video hosting for my membership site.

Affiliate Management Software

I pay around $499 in a month for this. This allows other people to sell your stuff and it gives them some commissions (Like affiliate marketing)

Integration Tools

I want to be able to set up a stripe account, PayPal account, or merchant account. I want to click a button, and all my stuff should work with it. This is something I use on a day to day basis, like my autoresponder. These are tools that are worth so much money because I can communicate with my audience. In this internet that you are, people are searching for help all day long.

Just a couple of weeks ago, my dog was sick and I go online and find this site where you can talk to a vet. And I contact a Vet on the site. It totally works for me because I was able to get advice. It’s very important.
